The feedback is valid and welcome. Thank you for finally being brutally honest, @MartindalexC. Regarding both features, I agree with you both. Not going to go into detail, but there has been a huge shortage in manpower, which we are working on getting out of (yeah, we've all heard this story before). We may not always prioritise to your (or our own) liking and the quantity of work we do is sadly not always visible to the user.
-
I'm as disappointed as you are. Haven't been able to make it a priority. Won't give you any promises or dates, but there has been some internal developments. Thanks for the bump.

Hi @Bantubox, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner - we've been working long days at the Grail Quest event. We will investigate this issue as soon as we get a chance! -
Guess in this situation it would've been better to be janboNOhands.

Cool thread and clear poll-result! This is indeed the direction NHLGamer wants to take things. We are working on things, but have nothing new to announce at this stage. Like @Nahkatoteemi said above, we're always happy to be approached with things like this.

Hey NHLGamers, When you start your game today, you might notice that there's a new patch. There isn't that much information about it, just the note "General stability and bug improvements". What could this mean? Well, we can simply speculate at this point, but there are a couple annoying things that have been happening in the game lately: At times, the game would get stuck in a weird camera angle with the frame being stuck, while you can only hear the game audio: Quite often, during an online game the game would jump back to an earlier faceoff, sometimes resulting in the loss of an already scored goal. We certainly hope the above two have been fixed with this patch and that we won't suffer from these problems again. According to the buzz in several Facebook groups at the moment, the so called "slider glitch" has been fixed now, so you're not able to make the HUT challenges super easy anymore. How are you finding the patch? Are the above mentioned things gone? Let us know in the comments below. Below you can find the Patch 2 notes and in case you missed it earlier, the notes about what Gameplay Tuner 1.01 actually did: Source: https://forums.ea.com/en/nhl/discussion/146691/nhl-18-patch-tuner-notes#latest

NHLGamers, It seems like it has been the month of announcements, doesn't it? Well, today we bring you another one. NHLGamer.com are immensly proud to announce that we are partnering with Ilta-Sanomat, SJK eSports and SeAMK for the latest edition of the IS Cup! You may remember our reporting from the last edition of IS Cup, if not you can find it here (Part 1) and here (Part 2), where we met up with many community members (including eventual winner @plee999) and covered the event from a journalistic perspective. This time around we will be an active host and participant in the prestigious tournament that will be open to players from all over Europe and is free to sign up for. Oh and, did we mention the 6000€ prize pool? Here you can find the official news story from main partner Ilta-Sanomat [Article in Finnish]. However, if you're not a native Finnish speaker, here's our brief breakdown of the event: As mentioned before, here at NHLGamer.com we are truly proud to be one of the main, active partners of this tournament and will work tirelessly to see it top the tremendous experience that was provided through the last IS Cup. So, how do I sign up? As mentioned above, the tournament is available to anyone in Europe, as long as you're available to travel to Helsinki for the final tournament (at your own expense). Here's where to sign up: Finnish speakers can sign up by heading over to https://nhlgamer.com/iscup If you're not from Finland, you might want to head over to the sign-up page in English over at https://nhlgamer.com/iscup/index_en.php For all of our members out there, old and new, I suggest you strap in - the NHLGamer journey is just getting started. Updated save logic to reduce issues that were causing the user goalie to make save attempts on pucks that were far from the net. I think this one might be it?

Hey NHLGamers, EA SPORTS has released the first content update (also known as patch) for NHL 18 and the list of improvements is quite extensive! The list of improvements is very versatile and includes both small tuning and larger pieces, ranging from camera fixes to adding the new leagues (EBEL, HockeyAllsvenskan and the CHL) to the Season mode. There's also been quite a lot of tweaking to the online experience and from this patch forward there is no longer a 1 minute grace period in HUT (oh boy, could I have used this patch yesterday)! We have yet to confirm exactly what it looks like, but according to the notes we can now see more information about the opponent (including connection quality) before the game starts. You can see the full list of updates (including also the updates between the beta and the released game) below: Overall, looking at the list it feels like a lot of my complaints have been addressed. What about you? How do you like the update? What would you like to see in the future updates? Please let us know in the comments. I'll see you on the ice! NHLGamers, It's been one hell of a ride so far... and it ain't showing any signs of slowing down. Today we here at NHLGamer.com are happy to announce we've passed another milestone: 2500 Members! For those of you who have been keeping track of our milestone announcements, 2017 has been a very exciting year with no less than three separate milestones reached since the turn of the new year. Let us take a quick look back, shall we? 1000 Members, April 25th 2016. 1500 Members, January 16th 2017. 2000 Members, April 21st 2017. 2500 Members, September 9th 2017. While our biggest website growth yet took place between January - April earlier this year where we gained 500 members (1500 to 2000) in a span of just 3 months, we are still immensly proud to have almost matched that pace for members 2000-2500. Especially when you consider April-September is traditionally not a part of the calender year that people associate with hockey, virtual or other. What has happened since April? For starters NHLGamer.com held its annual Summer Cup. A tournament where we had more than 300 participants sign up - more than doubling last years totals. Not only that, we also had our first sponsor in website history when Webhallen joined up with NHLGamer to produce the Summer Cup. We opened an Instagram account. We gave away a signed Mike Green jersey on Facebook We started a Podcast We also anounced the arrival of Versus tournaments, something that we will be releasing more information about in the next few weeks. Finally, we held our first ever Xbox ECL that was just completed. So... how are you celebrating? Well, glad you asked! To celebrate this milestone we are doing an NHL 18 -live stream with giving away two NHLGamer t-shirts (S & M sizes) with our official logo on them AND a custom SCUF PS4 controller. The best thing? They are all autographed by NHL 18 Producer Clement Kwong and Senior Communications Manager Evan Dexter! The SCUF box is also signed by @Hansulinho, @Dominointi and @Kenu. How cool is that?! You can check out the signing part in our interview video by clicking here. To enter this alarmingly awesome giveaway, go to https://twitter.com/NHLGamerCOM and check out our latest Tweet ("NHLGamer SCUF Giveaway!") for more info on how to win. Because we are in a giving mood, we also added the instructions for you right here: Own a Twitter account. If you do not, you can always create one! Re-tweet the recent NHLGamer Giveaway tweet AND follow the NHLGamer Twitter account Also follow @Dominointi's Twitter account (the provider of the SCUF controller) A winner will be drawn among those members who re-tweeted the specific tweet and followed both accounts. Winner will be announced on the official NHL 18 release day: 15/9! You can join the stream at https://www.twitch.tv/nhlgamertwitch now. Thats cool! But whats coming up next? We know we've been teasing for a while now that we got some cool stuff coming up... but we are going to keep you all in the dark for just a short while longer. As the saying goes; "Good things come to those who wait" See you on the stream!

Hey NHL Gamers! Last week we had the privilege of visiting the EA office here in Helsinki to play NHL 18 and talk to Clement Kwong and Evan Dexter from the NHL 18 team. Sean Ramjagsingh (aka Rammer) was supposed to be there, but he had to cancel the Nordic visits on short notice. We had a great time talking to Clement and Evan nevertheless and we captured it in the below video. Thank you for submitting your questions - there was very limited time for the interview itself, so we couldn't fit everything in there, but we really appreciate all of the submissions! Besides yours truly, there were a bunch of other NHL Gamer members at the event: @Dominointi (staff), @Hansulinho and @Rapsu (maybe others - let us know in the comments!) can also be seen appearing in this video. Always a blast to hang out with fellow NHL gamers! Hope you enjoyed the video as much as we did enjoy making it! As you can maybe guess from the ending, there is a giveaway coming. More about that in the near future! If you haven't already, be sure to check out @esdor's article from Stockholm: Until next time!

We expect to have more than a handful of spots in Pro to fill and we would like to hear your opinion on the following matter: Should a new team be allowed to apply for ECL Pro? (New team can, for example, mean a newly formed team of Elite players) Yes = Some Lite teams are promoted and the rest of the spots are filled with applications from newly formed teams (based on merit). No = All new teams, regardless of circumstance, start in Lite. The vote is anonymous, but of course feel free to discuss the subject. The vote is intended to be a guiding light in our journey towards making the right decision, but we don't want to give false promises. While the vote will give voice to the community, it isn't a decisive "either/or" type of vote.

Hey NHL Gamers, It was a good run, but we all knew this day was coming: The NHL 18 Beta has ended and it's time to start waiting for the final product, releasing next month. Should you try accessing any of the modes of the beta, you will be met with the following screen: While waiting for the full version of the game, we would like to ask you to send us your thoughts on the beta - what did you like and what didn't you? We would also like to see your best video clips! Whether they are cool, incredible, funny, pointing out a bug in the game or just plain stupid - just share them with us! Here's our small example, recorded by @gzell60, showing off the exploitation of the L1/LB-button, which is especially effective around the boards, doesn't really slow you down when spamming, and doesn't result in penalties: By submitting our videos and feedback directly to EA SPORTS, we hope to help shape the game the way we - the community - want to see the game develop in the future. You can choose to discuss in the below thread, or post your thoughts and clips in the comments of this news story - both will be followed closely by our staff. So without further ado, submit your stuff in the comments section and let's get this thing going! On behalf of the NHLGamer staff,
-
Good game yesterday! We'll get you next time!
-
Welcome to the community! Everyone has been new to the game at one point or another, so don't let that slow you down!

I have the next version of this, the KS8000 (this model is called the KS9000 in the US, whereas in Europe the KS 9000 is a curved screen). 55" and very good. Slightly old test of input lag, but a good reference: http://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag The difference between the KS7000 and KS8000 are quite small, but nowadays the 8000 is not that expensive either. In case you happen to own the KS8000, here are some recommended settings: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks8000/settings Considering getting a gaming monitor too for competitive purposes, but for gaming overall, I enjoy the big screen.
