I apologize if I offended anyone. I thought arrogance was the theme.

I was just trying to be arrogant and degrading about the “skill” of our Finnish colleagues. That seems to be the theme in here when one disagrees with the other party's opinion.

Yes, and I'm talking about an arrogant attitude, and responded to it by calling you bad at something you had some pride in back in the 40s. Then there was something you could call “Sisu”, now the hardest you have is Wadepaananen dancing on tiktok.

Very arrogant way to look at things!
Just because someone doesnt share your opinion in something doesnt mean it is trolling
I want all abilities ban! I enjoy the gameplay more that way!
But calling people stupid for enjoying something that you yourself dont enjoy is a very arrogant way at looking at things in both life and in this case
I accept the players who think abilities is fine! That is your opinion, but dont call me or anyone else who enjoys something else stupid, cause that has been the case in this discussion!
That way people dont dare stand up for what they believe in cause if they write what they actually think they just get the best players in the scene hounding them calling them "shit" "skill issue" stuff like that
Yes, you are absolutely right.
I can take an example from my own life.
I have worked in the Swedish Armed Forces for more years than many in here are old.
Every damn year we are forced to train with soldiers from Finland. And yes, they have a rather low level of skill and training compared to many other countries in Northern Europe. The exercises are always boring, and their solutions to problems are very different from ours both tactically and strategically.
But now it is the case that NATO has decided that Finland is our forward operating area for the Swedish forces. Then it would be incredibly stupid to piss on your Finnish colleagues, when they do not share our values and our view of how things should be solved strategically. Because it is with these Finnish soldiers that we will die together when the shit hits the fan. I have to accept that the Finnish soldiers also have an opinion, and a right to think. If I don't, I am absolutely convinced that the Finnish soldiers will shoot me before the Russians do.What you are doing now in here is fucking sick. You sit and call people bad just because they do not share your opinion. Do you really think that the players in Core and NEO dare to write an opinion in here just because you are a bunch of arrogant little kids?
Even Finns who have never won anything in here sit and call people bad. Come on, step up. And those who have won, they work with the same method. And it's almost more fucking pathetic.

Well a slapshot is a completely different thing than a one-timer so that data is kinda irrelevant.
Well, we can dig deeper if you want to.
To begin, we’ll simply look at the shot and shot-on-target shooting percentage of each shot type we have recorded data on. Observe the below tables.
What we quickly see is that one-timers and deflections see the largest rise in shooting percentage if they are on target. One-timers especially are difficult shots to pull off so a larger percentage of them miss the net or are blocked, more so than any other shot type. So, one-timers, when on net (42% of the time compared to 50% of the time for all others) are an incredibly dangerous shot, second only to deflections. Of course, which shot types are repeatable for players? Which ones can better predict the rate at which they score goals? That’s what we want to know.
The above table shows the single R values for each shot type’s repeatability and the relationship between each shot type and future goal-scoring. I show these values to indicate the size of the relationship whereas a R^2 value can obscure a negative relationship. I also didn’t want to include twelve scatter plots where one table would do. The sample size was 157 forwards with at least 200 minutes in each half of the sample.

Make it snappy was as good as cq in NHL 23.
Gameplay with more scoring is better right?
And I dont believe that banning abilities would make the skill gap bigger, I actually think that would do the opposite cuz people could just collapse infront of their net and not even worry about 1ts and so that would be bad for viewers and players (the game rewards active defence right now and not skill zoning which is pretty nice imo).
And given that you barely conceded any goals this year - given that you are already the best team in Europe. How did you expect teams to score on you without abilities when there are only 1-2 teams that can match you in puck speed and team play? The teams only chance right now is that you are out of position, and someone gets a golden one tee to kick, or a free position against your goalie with CQ.
This would of course make the skill gap bigger, because if the only thing that counts is “skill against skill” combined with teamplay, you would outplay all your opponents even more. So of course this would make the overmatched teams completely brutal again.
Im one of the most active players in the scene so I know what im talking about little bit
Yes, we all know that you play more than most, and that you are better than most both in 6s and in versus. It is known among everyone. But that's not really part of the discussion and makes one argument outweigh another.
But don't get me wrong, all respect to you

Absolutely it is so Nikke!
But I think one of your points that went wrong up here was that "Yes we had no abilities tournament with elite teams and the games were boring and almost impossible to score even against weaker teams which is not good."
Because the facts show that there was hardly any difference. There was a difference of about “50” goals between 16 teams in total. (0.20 goals)The conclusion should have been.
that Abilities are a handicap for bad teams today, which should mean that the chances should be higher that a bad team sometimes wins against a better team just because they have this “handicap”.Of course, a team like yours, without abilities, would probably be an equally dominant team with an even bigger gap in a league without abilities. A bit like HAVU and FILA dominated the scene before hREDS came along. Before this, no other team was even close. And here nobody played with shooting abilities, then it was only “lungs” that counted among the elite teams.
Skilled teams had become even harder for the teams below to beat. Parasite as an example, would probably have had an even bigger gap to many of the teams behind. Precisely because the best players are there, and they play in one of the teams with the best team play.
But I have honestly no Idea - This is just my thoughts

NHL 21 ECL 11 - 1 ability at builds = 4.52 goals per game
NHL 21 ECL 12 - 1 ability at builds = 4.77 goals per gameNHL 22 - Winter - Nothing banned = 4,25 goals per game
NHL 22 - Spring - Nothing banned = 4.29 goals per gameNHL 23 winter - Nothing banned = 5.18 goals per game
NHL 23 Spring - CQ/tipper banned = 4.98 goals per gameNHL 24 Winter - Tipper banned = 5.10 goals per game
NHL 24 Spring - Tipper banned = 4,78 goals per gameNHL 25 Winter - Tipper banned, "OP Gold One tee/CQ era" - 5.53 goals per game
Just putting it here so we don't keep painting the “tournament with CQ ban as something that completely ruined the gameplay when it happened” - In comparison to other tournaments.
And that record in “goals per game” from this year's Elite season where people played with golden One tee and golden CQ more frequently in the new “meta”.
Do what you want with that information.
Have a nice weekend everyone 🙂

Yeah, i can see that you aren't in the loop of the significant differences in game mechanics between different titles and the way top teams have approached and are approaching the game currently and thus i don't see a reason to continue this discussion with you.
haha oh my god. 😆
To choose to respond to an argument in the way you just did, is just a clear sign that you have just been run over in the argument and do not really know how to take it further. It is nothing to be ashamed of.We all know you are good, and have been good for years. However, this does not automatically mean that everything you think, write and believe is factual.
Try to be less arrogant, so maybe even young players can look up to you as the person you are, and not just as a damn good player in a damn good team.
I guess this is just like-fishing. 🙂 Which u most likely will get from the fanboys.
Have fun, and good luck in ECL Winter!

No one is forcing lower tier teams to use any traits or specific builds, it's their own fault if they use builds they don't know how to utilize.
I don't really know where you want to go with this discussion since the original discussion was about banning players from using same build type on the same team. How does banning people from using the same build type somehow take away the ability from people to use non-meta builds if they want?
The reason bigger builds aren't meta currently is because of the difference in speed, acceleration & agility. There was nearly no difference in those stats in NHL 16-18 between power forwards and playmakers which made the bigger builds better.
I'm not sure if you are trolling but i'll answer anyway, if you think people haven't tried bigger builds since NHL 18 you are very much mistaken.
I think that in your replies you should start by stopping answering assertions that no one has made in the thing you are replying to. A bit on the same theme as your answer to Hampus above.
What you refer to as “Meta” is not really a meta linked to the definition, but it is an attribute that you want in the game style you play. In this case you are insinuating that it is the attribute “speed”. A “meta” in a game is a weakness in the game being played, which people exploit. What you describe as “meta” here is more of a play style than a weakness. I think we need to keep the concepts separate here.
You want to be able to skate fast, in straight lines, which is what the Elite teams started doing in NHL 24, and every offense ended with a force into the slot.
Previous top teams in previous games, such as Havu and Fila when they were at their peak, they played on puck possession, movement and passing, the passing game set the pace of the game, and no other team in their heyday could keep up with that pace.
The point was, and now I'm going to be overly clear so you don't have to respond to claims that are not claimed, THAT style of play can be achieved without having to be 185cm tall, and 72.5kg heavy build. And this was what I insinuated was damn nice that no top team ever tried to make work. Because it would have been hell for the opposing teams to face in for example NHL 25 where the mobility of the game is still pretty good regardless of the size of the build, and the speed without Elite-edges is not as dominant as it was in for example NHL 24.
I'm not trolling. I'm responding.-

And off-topic, but.
Of course, the top teams would have been even more difficult to face if they had dared to learn to play with bigger builds. I've been saying this for years, and we should all be grateful that the top teams were stupid enough not to even try.
- It is quite logical that it would have been a nightmare for a defender to face an individual top player who could handle both size and balance. Even worse if you faced a team that could handle all these parameters and let the puck pace set the pace of the game. (A bit like the top teams from Finland handled this in 17-19). (I Think KingofApes 1 time per year calls it - "skillhockey")If these players had spent at least as much time finding weaknesses in attributes as they spend on, for example, playing HUT, the top teams would have been as dominant as they were several years ago. Now, after all, the difference between the top and those behind is not very big.
Carry on!

why this same whine happen every year, just shut Up n play, this is no proffesional for anyone, we dont get 50k per year for playing NHL , this is just hobby which cost us some coin’s, past 15y everytime game n gamepaly Has been broken someway, so what has really change in 15y ? Always some ppl are unhappy no matter what u do, has been last few thousand year, so what has really change ?
What has changed? A lot of things have changed.
For example, there are tools today that reduce the skill gap in the game. Like Big Tipper.
What else has changed? 5, 7, 10 and 15 years ago, when you only had “builds”, the top teams outscored the lower teams by 15-20-25 goals.
Then someone decided to release a game for €100, created on crack.
Today you can see games where a much inferior team scores 7 goals in 4 shots, and the game is ruined even before it has started.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that I see this every day when I watch matches or play myself with various teams. It's a bit like playing CS with aimbot - good for the stats, but no fun for anyone.
There is a reason why in other games where similar abundance of accessories and weapons are available, like COD, in competition they chose to ban 90% of the weapons and accessories available in normal multiplayer.
Precisely because these accessories and weapons early in the start of a match can control the outcome and the result without skill or cooperation in the team affecting the direction the match should go towards.
I can think of an argument for a division that competes for money, that that division should be a division where the competition is decided on the combination of pure skill and a developed and good team play.
To see an Elite match decided because someone gets 3 early lucky bounces with big-tipper is just humorous.
It is downright 💩 to have such conditions in a league where you first have to be ruined to even participate, and once you have emptied the month's savings on this, you then have to compete for the money in a product when the game on a good night can do half the job for you.
You asked what had changed. This is what has changed since I started competing myself 15 years ago.
Did these discussions exist then? No, of course not. Back then, the discussions were about how to actually defeat your opponent who was better in terms of skill and teamplay.

vNexs (ECL PRO) is recruiting for NHL 26
We’re currently looking for players to join our ECL PRO roster ahead of the NHL 26 season.
vNexs is an established organization with multiple teams under its umbrella. All of our teams share the same Discord server, where we hang out, run mix-team scrims when main rosters are short, and just enjoy the game together. At the moment, we’re about 50 players on the server, with around 16 of them being part of one of our official ECL rosters.
Last season, we operated three teams: Elite, PRO, and Core. For the upcoming season, we’re expecting to run two teams (Maybe three):
One in ECL PRO
One in ECL Core
(One in ECL NEO - TBA)
Our Elite team spot will be taken over by Inception, and vNexs will continue in ECL PRO, filling the slot previously held by vNexs Academy.
The mission of the PRO team is clear:
To be a stepping stone for young and promising players aiming to break into the Elite Division.
If a player gets the opportunity to move on to a stronger team — we’ve done our job.
If a player uses us as a bridge between lower division teams and the top Swedish ECL teams — that’s exactly what we want to provide.
We are currently looking to strengthen the PRO roster with the following positions:
Center
Left Defense (LD)
Nationality is not a limiting factor.
While we primarily scout the Swedish market, we are absolutely open to skilled players from Finland, Germany, Latvia, or anywhere else.
Ideal candidate profile:
Aged between 15–25
Preferably with experience from at least LITE+
Players from higher divisions are also more than welcome to reach out!
If you’re interested or want to know more, don’t hesitate to contact us!
------------
If there’s any Swedish team in ECL NEO interested in becoming part of our organization, feel free to reach out to me here or on Discord.
