  1. Hello @Moisala,

    Thanks for the report and your patience. I have now deleted the game in question (Match ID #5215) so you may start from the beginning with filling out the game report.

    Use this link https://nhlgamer.com/add_match.php and choose the correct game (there should only be one available vs. Freddy Mercury Institute. Once you've added the Match Stats and your teams Individual Stats, please contact the opposing teams captain and let them know that they are now able to add their individual stats. On their side, individual stats is all they need to do.

  2. ECL 5 Pro

    Game 5: FCM vs SIKA 3-5 (1-2, 0-1, 2-2)
    Game 6: FCM @ SIKA 4-7 (1-1, 2-5, 1-1)

    Our hubris came crashing down hard in these matchups. An overly confident approach, relying on our offense to win the game, led to SIKAs counter-attacks tearing us apart. Well played by them and a lesson for us.

    Game Hatchet for G5 & 6: @iscojr94 for telling his Captain ( :ph34r: ) to man up and quit complaining. Needed to be said, well spoken.

    Game 7: FCM @ Squirt Hockey 5-2 (1-0, 3-1, 1-1)
    Game 8: FCM vs Squirt Hockey 6-4 (1-0, 4-0, 1-4)

    A return to form by an FCM lineup that featured a different setup than previous games. Both matchups featured strong 1st and 2nd periods for the Mining squad, only for us to falter a bit in the 3rd when the games felt "secure". A lesson to be learned here as well, surely.

    Game Hatchet for G7: @Meeertz for shutting down any and all of the oppositions attack attempts on his defensive right side.
    Game Hatchet for G8: @pentsaa aka Mr Smorre Vikingstad gets the honor here after 3+3 in a 6-4 win.

  3. ECL 5 Pro

    Game 1: FCM vs. murohoki 2-1, OT (1-0, 0-1, 0-0, 1-0)
    Game 2: FCM @. murohoki 1-0 (0-0, 0-0, 1-0)

    Two tight, defensive games where both team strived to keep the opponents from scoring rather than attacking with creativity. In the end, we left the dressing room having collected 4 out of a possible 4 points, but we will have to be better in the future. Props to murohoki for good games.

    Game Hatchet for G1: @LastMandalorian with the GWG in OT.
    Game Hatchet for G2: @Onecorner95 with the shutout to win the game for us.

  4. With our Roster finalized and ready for ECL 5, the time has come to release links to FCM social media a.k.a. where we post weird stuff that you can comment on... or ignore. Most likely ignore. But hopefully comment on!

    We only (lol) have two channels and plan to keep it that way for the forseeable future (too much maintenance!).

    We are rocking a Twitch channel where we will be broadcasting most of our games in ECL 5. Important to note is that we will NOT be broadcasting games using the goaltender Be A Pro-angle. Shame on you streamers who use it... shame on you.

    We also just recently set up a Facebook page where our content will be more geared towards posting lineups, scores, game reviews, gameplay videos and all the other Facebook stuff that sounds good to say but usually ends up being just memes. So yeah, we will be posting memes and other stuff.

    See you there Gamers, welcome to the Mine :x

  5. Finally we've reached the last part of our roster announcement; our brand-new Coal Miners. While recruiting players to your team, the importance of aquiring players that are a "good fit" for the teams style of play cannot be overstated.

    Unfortunately for the Coal Miners, we haven't quite figured out what our style of play is yet... so when recruiting players we had to do it the old-fashioned way: with the false promise of a lofty salary further down the line :ph34r:

    Here are the two insanely talented players we managed to lure to our squad using this devious tactic:

    Free Agency Signings

    @pentsaa (Player profile
    Jersey #: 58
    ECL season, FCM: 1st
    Career stats, ECL: 19 GP, 8 G, 20 A, 28 P, +31
    Player type: Two-way defender/forward
    Information: Fresh off an eye-opening performance in the Summer Cup for eventual finalist 50 Shades of Blades, this young Finn probably had plenty of offers to choose from ahead of ECL 5. His soft hands on the ice and great mind for the game isn't even the greatest thing about this this defender/forward hybrid, its that he can curse at the rest of the team both in his native Finnish and Swedish! All kidding aside, pentsaa is poised for a breakout season and if his history with the Finnish Roosters and performance in the Summer Cup is any indication, he will make for an explosive addition to The Mine. Just, you know, hopefully not too explosive. Mines collapse.

    @minokin (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 15
    ECL season, FCM: 1st
    Career stats, ECL: 58 GP, 12 G, 44 A, 56 P, -83
    Player type: Two-way defender/forward, Butterfly goaltender
    Information: This veteran ECL:er brings a wealth of experience, poise and calm to a roster that seems better prepared than it ever has been for ECL competition. A match made in heaven it would seem and sometimes, things are just that - exactly what they seem. Outside of dazzling plays on the ice and solid defending, "mino" has the mind and voice of a storyteller. What might begin as a harmless story in a PSN party will easily transition into a riveting drama where axe-murdering women and car racing hockey players are front and center.

    Welcome to the Falun Coal Miners guys :x  We hope you won't be running for the exists in a state of absolute panic until at least half the season is over!

  6. Next up are The Prospects.

    While "prospects" is generally used as a term for young, up-and-coming players in real life hockey, the Falun Coal Miners version of virtual hockey "prospects" combines the traditional hockey concept with that of outlaw motorcycle gangs. Strange you say? Not so!

    Wikipedia has the following to say on prospects: "Some "biker" clubs employ a process whereby members must pass several stages such as "friend of the club", "hang-around", and "prospect", on their way to becoming full-patch membersIn these clubs, some amount of hazing may occur during the early stages ranging from the mandatory performance of menial labor tasks for full patch members to sophomoric pranks, and, in rare cases with some outlaw motorcycle clubs, acts of violence"

    While we do not plan on forcing our dear prospects into performing any acts of violence, they might have to clean the locker room bathrooms and collect all the pucks after practice from time to time. Without further ado, here they are:

    Prospects

    @Sawardo (No player profile)
    Jersey #: 7
    ECL season, FCM: 1st
    Career stats, FCM: N/A
    Player type: Two-way defender/forward
    Information: Imported from the TPS regions of Åbo, Finland, the skill of this 25-year old Finn was first discovered by Head Scout @LastMandalorian through the very inofficial VOCL (Viaplay Office Couch League). With a booming slapshot as his main weapon, this natural defenseman has signed a PTO (professional tryout contract) with FCM to "watch and learn" during his first ECL season. Has significant EASHL experience stretching back to 2010, but is completely untested in 6v6 tournament play. Counts Henrik Tallinder as his favorite player due to his dominating run as an assistant captain for TPS.

    @R00tster89 (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 89 (previously wore 15 but with a new Free Agency signing coming in, gracefully relinquished the number)
    ECL season, FCM: 3rd
    Career stats, FCM: 16 GP, 11 G, 12 A, 23 P, +4
    Player type: Sniper
    Information: Arguably the most natural virtual hockey sniper in the entire Södertälje area, R00tster joins the Coal Miners for his third season as a prospect. Mainly known amongst his teammates for two things: playing with a left-handed stick on the left wing and being one of the only ECL players ever to use the "Sniper" player type (the small one). While still counted as a prospect, R00tster is not without experience as he has been playing EASHL with the FCM captaincy brothers since NHL 2012. Will probably not get alot of ice time in ECL due to more important obligations in life BUT will shoot the puck when you least expect it.

    NEXT UP, The Free Agency Signings :)

  7. To mix things up a little bit, the roster presentation for the Coal Miners will happen in three steps... but not the three steps you think  :ph34r:

    While it is custom to introduce goaltenders, defenders and forwards separately, we decided to do things a little bit differently this time. Therefore, the three steps of our FCM player presentations will be called "The Prospects", "The Free Agency Signings" and "The Original Six".

    First out among these three categories are The Original Six; the six skaters who were there when the Falun Coal Miners first sprung into action in ECL 1.

    GOALTENDER

    @Onecorner95 (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 2
    ECL season, FCM: 5th
    Career stats, FCM: 66 GP, 32 W, 28 L, 6 OTL, 76.36%, 2.87 GAA, 4 Shutouts
    Player type: Butterfly goaltender
    Information: The backbone of FCM for most of his career, this young goaltender has already amassed plenty of ECL experience and will be looking to have his best season yet statistically. Rock solid positioning, positive spirit and insane enthusiasm for big hits are among onecorner95s biggest strengths as a player. Probably the only Coal Miner who would know how to handle an actual pick axe!

    DEFENDERS

    @The_Alpha_Furyan [Captain] (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 77
    ECL season, FCM: 4th
    Career stats, FCM: 76 GP, 34 G, 75 A, 109 P, -20
    Player type: Puck Moving Defenseman
    Information: Team captain for 4 out of 5 seasons. Returns to FCM home arena "The Mine" after sessions in Sjukstugan and Dynasty. Dedicated to bring back the offensive blueline turnovers that FCM was sorely lacking last season :)

    @Meeertz [Assistant Captain] (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 14
    ECL season, FCM: 5th
    Career stats, FCM: 73 GP, 10 G, 42 A, 52 P, -12
    Player type: Two-Way Defenseman
    Information: Took over captaincy duties while brothers The_Alpha_Furyan and LastMandalorian set out on their Pokémon-catching adventures last season. Did an admirable job of keeping the ship afloat and almost managed to get FCM past their most famous nemesis: the 1st round of the ECL playoffs. As a player, Meeertz is a true two-way defender with a breakout pass to rival that of Hall of Fame defender Tom Linder.

    FORWARDS

    @PatzyDrake (Player profile
    Jersey #: 54
    ECL season, FCM: 5th
    Career stats, FCM: 87 GP, 96 G, 80 A, 176 P, -10
    Player type: Powerforward
    Information: FCM team leader in every statistical category except Plus/Minus where The_Alpha_Furyan holds a comfortable (and embarrassing) -20 lead, PatzyDrake identifies as a pure goal scorer. He scores. A lot. If you know what I mean :) This hulking LW will undoubtedly hit goal #100 in an FCM jersey this season and if he puts his mind to it, quite possibly goal #200 too.

    @LastMandalorian [Assistant Captain] (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 17
    ECL season, FCM: 4th
    Career stats, FCM: 48 GP, 23 G, 34 A, 57 P, -19
    Player type: Two-Way Dangler
    Information: Flip-flops his preferences for player position more than Donald Trump on Twitter but seems to have decided to leave goaltender behind and make the Center position his own for the forseeable future. The Last of the Mandalorians models his game after Japanse wunderkid Aito Iguchi and goes to his happy place when the puck is on his stick gliding through the neutral zone.

    @iscojr94 (Player profile)
    Jersey #: 90
    ECL season, FCM: 5th
    Career stats, FCM: 80 GP, 45 G, 92 A, 137 P, -5
    Player type: Playmaker
    Information: Whenever FCM goes out clubbing after ECL victories (which, admittedly, is a quite rare occurence) iscojr94 is the squads only hope of getting into the VIP area. As smooth and elegant on the ice as he is in real life, this puck-saucing RW has found tremendous chemistry playing with Mandalorian and Drake. Look for Isco to score more points than he ever has before if his tiny playmaker can keep dodging hits from monstrous defenders.

    NEXT UP, The Prospects :)

    ESHL-projektet lever, om än i ganska avskalat format ;) Med support från svenska communityt och ev. lite samarbete med allas vårt NHLGamer så kanske det kan hända lite grejer!

    For the NG members who dont speak Swedish:
    Here is the latest video in a project I am a part of for the SHL (Swedish Hockey League). Most of this video is in English!

    3) Is it possible to create cup that takes place at the same time ECL seasons(?). We could use similar format they use in English football (FA-cup).

    Then we could see some cross-action between division lines in "serious" games! And them newly formed challengers would have a good spot to show their skills already during their grindfest through lower divisions! And every round should definitely be Bo1 so stakes would be high in every game and this wouldn't take too much time during ECL game weeks. Would love to see lower division team knocking out elite teams in this one!

    See you on the ice!

    This struck a chord with me. Sounds like it could potentially be very interesting and cool! The EC - European Cup :)

    Could lead to teams having slightly larger rosters due to an extra game day every week. Also a great way for new players to claw their way into more established teams and prove their worth in competition games that are "serious", but not as "serious" as teams view the ECL.
