  1. Great post @chavelski I understand your thoughts and feelings pretty well. When we (Norpee, Zejiro86, seaberg86 and me, joined by Normark a month later) started Drunken Rebels back in 2011 we encountered similar "problems". Trying to get better players to our team. Heck even trying to sign up for EHL only to get turned down with "didnt think you guys were serious". Got told a lot during the first year how much we sucked (actually same guys keep telling us 7 years later we still suck). We disbanded once during the first year and finally merged with Nephenzy and Smutto and later changing name to Synergy. My advice is one you already seem to comprehend. Turn down any player you wont feel fit the group. Doing this might not win you titles but you will last longer and have more fun with the game. But yeah Its always a struggle to be GM and keep everybody happy. Good luck!
  2. Try that argument with your boss at work There is a reason why there are rules. The reason is that logic and rational reasons are subjective and therefore will always inspire a feeling of uncertainty and unequality. Rules are simple and easy to understand...for most people.
  3. Noob. Consolehockey had bigger days then
  4. Sjunger alltid när jag kör båt
  5. Samma som på gamla jobbet då.
  6. I miss the days when spotify or whatever had a negative impact. Today I keep everything running, 4K streaming, Roon music server going at it cause no one bother to turn it off, and girlfriend listening to podcasts. If I turn everything off...and just plug my PS4 with a Supra Cat8 cable (meant for 8k streaming), nothing happens...meaning its equally bad. So yeah its all EA. Wouldn't bother much with other settings. At least that is my experience
  7. Kan damma av min Sjöbefälexamen Klass VIII. Nu var det ju ca 15 år sen jag lekte krig med skattebetalarnas pengar i Stridsbåt 90, men en eka ska jag nog kunna frambringa
  8. I've blocked passes with DSS stick, but it only seem to work when the passing player is not too close but let's say in neutral zone, you can kind of stay in the middle and anticipate a pass from C to winger with the DSS
  9. Understand yout point, but imo cross creases have been way too ineffective since NHL12. In 18 it's even more easy for Ds to stop passes, so I'm pretty happy that it actually pays to be able to create those scoring chances
  10. Monitor ftw. Although playing on a 117" projektor screen requires real split vision Its not really that great
  11. https://displaylag.com/benq-rl2755hm-gaming-monitor-review/ Very happy with this one. They teamed up with Zowie so those models are the same.
  12. Unless you also wanna play 4K PC games, Benq have some nice monitors developed for console gaming. Very low input lag. Im using the RL2755. For 4K streaming movies etc you should get a big 4K tv. Edit: Right, there are PS4 games with "4k". I would still get one benq for competetive gaming and then a big screen tv for the rest
  13. Well done Agree that background music could be turned down a notch and that Alphas mic was giving away some echo but other than it was all good
  14. Play D Used to play with overhead and kept toggling between myself and the puck (since I'm never where the puck is) , I find defending in your own zone is easier with this angle but for this game I switched to Zone. It's easier to position yourself in the neutral zone keeping track of both the puck and opposing fwds. It also helps for breakout passes.
  15. Should be fine, its how we played the group stage Re-fills on the beer from Germany is on the way in time for playoffs!
  16. Thats nice but cant you just do that with an Xbox Elite controller? Plus you can swap sticks. The biggest turnoff for me and why I wouldnt consider Nacon is because you have a convex right stick (fps-style). Scuf dont have software customization but you can adjust trigger tension, trigger stops and swap sticks. Plus that military grip is awesome. In hindsight I think Scuf is overpriced though and build quality is so so. Biggest reason for me to chose BB is the ability to use any sticks I want (Ive chosen Xbox Elite sticks so I can just swap on the fly) plus their smart trigger system with 1mm Click and 100 % response seems at least in theory to be an advantage for passing in poking in NHL. Anyway I guess its up to preference. If it sugits you it suits you
  17. Hmm interesting. Have not tried Nacon but how does it differ from scuf in terms of features and functionality?
  18. Im using a Scuf at the moment. But waiting for my Battle Beaver which should arrive next week. https://battlebeavercustoms.com/ Ive customized it with soft touch shell, xbox elite thumbsticks and smart triggers (only need to press L1 L2, R1 R2 like 1 mm to get 100 % response. I kept the tension of the thumbsticks to dual-shock level but its possible to go Xbox tension as well if you want. And removed the rumbles to make it lighter. Go check them out, you can build your controller after your own needs...Xbox or PS4...or a merge between the two. The only downside is that they are extremely popular within the e-sport communities so it will take you 3 months from ordering till you receive the controller.
  19. Hmm its not very cheap but its reliable and works. Doesnt seem to cause any input lag either. Norpe in Syn has been playing with it + Xbox Elite Controller. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00T76ZGDY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493249955&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=cronus+max+plus&dpPl=1&dpID=51llmpFgEbL&ref=plSrch
  20. You can use Xbox controller on ps4 or get a ps4 controller with xbox elite thumbsticks
  21. Lol Happy I at least make such an impression. The bullshit I wont even read. Puss puss
  22. This is really awkward. I have never been anything but constructive when giving you guys feedback. I have always motivated my opinions and supported them with facts. I might have expressed myself in a way you dont like but never have I just threwn accusitions against you. Even now...although you are just throwing out accusations like I just want to harm the community, I wouldnt last as LA etc, without supporting this with real arguments, I will respond constructively. Yes opinions are subjective but saying you are against a decision not only undermines the credibility of the decision but also creates a feeling of unfairness. You are more than welcome to provide a case where one "judge" explains he is against the decision and it actually helps people. Again it is not about making people happy! Why do you have rules Gzell? You have rules so people know how to behave and what to expect. Sometimes decisions are hard...sometimes they are wrong, but never should they lack support in the rules. You have made several decisions not supported, the latest is handing out wo losses to Sky and Aapo. I have laster longer than two weeks and although I made some pretty unpopular decisions, which some people still feel hurt by (not naming names) ,they were all supported by rules. Based on this...I feel sad when LA asks for constructive feedback but arent able to dispose them in a similar fashion.
  23. Haha...I wasnt a part of the decision though. We had a policy not to be part of any situations regarding our team. However, I do wonder...theoretically, if I would join LA, that means you quit this tournament and move to Xbox One right? I mean that is what you told Billy...and even when questioned about it you swore thats what you would do! Maybe someone in NN can sponsor a LA campaign for me? PM sent
  24. Depends on the input You are correct that "people" should see the bigger picture...except time and time and time again people only care about their own self interest. Like that guy with the huppati wo against cog...you think he would have said a word if it didn't cause his team to miss playoffs? That is precisely why you don't need to excuse your decisions to individuals, and that is precisely why you should listen to people like me who has input on things not really fucking concern me or my team...except that also requires an LA that see the bigger picture and don't get insulted too easily cause he happen to be the target for criticism at the moment. cheers
  25. It has nothing to do with the fact that you as a LA should stand for LA decisions and not blame your fellow LA-colleagues. You can still motivate decisions without excusing yourself. I know, cause I too have been tgma. You can ask @iSvamp if I stood by the rules and decisions or not. So if I understand you correctly...you had no answer and no arguments to my post, except trying to undermine my credibility by bringing up last playoffs (where you are dead wrong...but I won't baited into a lengthy discussion about that, except I told LA weeks before the situation and got the go ahead which was then retracted) and also declaring I have done nothing for the community? I see Kenus quality control when bringing in new LAs hade taken a dive lately I would join...but only if some of you leave.
