Tbh I really appreciate all the effort put in by nhlgamer to host competitive tournaments with prize pools etc. Then you start a game and first goal you let in is a own goal caused by a puck pickup animation. There is nothing esport-like with the game. I think EA should make D’s shots a threat again. This will prevent teams from just putting 5 guys in front of the net and actually benefit positioning and defence. This would make the biggest change in gameplay. i would also like to see fwds get more offensive options as well

    Ofc the choice is up to each team. I believe there are more factors than skill alone to contribute to a tournament’s value.

    It does not. Neither did I say it would. I was specifically talking about Finnish players. I’m not asking why @MartindalexC can play with NOR. Finland is such a dominating factor in this community that the effect of allowing Finnish players is much bigger alone than allowing all other nationalities combined. I don’t see how this makes a Swedish championship more interesting? On the contrary I think it hurts Swedish teams in the long run. Last minute transfers are rarely a good way to build success imo

    Considering ECL is 90 % of finnish teams, one could question how it benefits the growth of the community to include finnish players in a swedish tournament? Maybe that is not NHLGamers goal? @Kenu

    Yeah but having a Swedish league does not mean the other nationalities can’t have their leagues. You already have a german league and a russian league, I think? Im sure Finland can come up with a league too. That leaves Connor and Billy, but Im sure they could play in one of the national leagues Or some other type of league like an international like suggested in this thread. My point is that there is no restriction to how many tournaments one can participate in...but the question should rather be how many tournaments are mandatory to play in order to keep your ECL-spot?

    I think 2 ECL tournaments is a fair amount. It doesnt prohibit us from creating tournaments outside the ECL-system. Perhaps we can arrange a swedish championship league for the spring?

    I have no clue how the eashl connection works. But I do know that my router pings a server in California for eashl. I think this has to do with stats etc. If I try to geo-filter just europe I get stuck in dr. But then the router tells me its peer connection, and I can also see my teammates ISPs. If it was only a dedicated server, why would my router care for teammates isps hmm. I contacted ea about the californian server but they had no clue. Their response was that different countries connect to different servers. And my 24ms in-game shows up as 54ms on my router, so apparently that is also bullshit. To sum it up...nobody seem to know how this shit works.

    ...the way of letting in 9 out of 10 goals in 3rd period/ot. Dropping two 2-0 leads. Scoring 2 own goals that were decisive game-loosing goals. Credits to Dph for their comebacks. It still sucked

    Maybe people aimed at my crotch but I had no troubles blockning shots by just positioning in the shooting lane. Didnt bother with L1.

    Stick lift is way too effective. Pokechecks are useless. They need to balance it better. I like that you cant spam the poke. I dislike that even a good poke is a risk not worth taking. All pokes done from behind should result in a tripping while doing it in front (with a certain gap) should result in success or a failed poke but not an automatic tripping. The image I attached got me a tripping penalty. Its not the best exemple cause throwing a poke in that situation should probably get you a penalty but the problem is that my stick is nowhere near the fwds skates. other than that, all is great and skating etc feels awesome and I’m really looking forward to the release.

    Yeah I know I played 28 games. But this year was not so bad. ECL 4 I think my stats are 21 games 3+16 in points, but real stats should read 24 games 6+20 in points. https://nhlgamer.com/match.php?matchID=4201&leagueID=18 this one should definitely have been some kind of error in match report. But no Idea how it happened. Im fairly confident I had errors in ECL 3 as well. That's why I was curious if it was match-report related or if there was other issues as well. ECL4 I dont really remember why the stats went missing but ECL5 I don´t think we got any notice that something was off with the reports, if teams do get notified...maybe we dont? Anyway, its a non-issue really I was just wondeirng about how and why Thanks!
