    33yo Finnish Dude looking for team Pro/Lite, back-up role in a good team may be fine too. I play RW, RD, LW, LD at pretty much same level. Last year i worked as GM of The Dudes. I have about 150(about 50 % RW and 50% RD) game experience in NHL Gamer tournaments. I am not that chatty in English parties, but i can communicate in English so English speaking teams are ok.     I am not sure what is best way to decide what teams should start where. Maybe it is face factor or experience points or something else. I think number of teams in divisions dont have to be carved in stone. If there is some new Elite teams they can take a spot from Semi and those teams can be added to that 32 team division. Its no biggie is there 32, 33, 34 or even 36 teams in a division. I think 4 divisions is good number and then we can start making divisions bigger if we see that its the best solution.

    Looks like you have missed the point that with 4 divisions these new teams would not have to start at the lowest level. With 3 divisions options are 1. make those Elite guys start in Lite with new comers who barely now the buttons. 2. Let Elite guys start in PRO... but on my opinion this encourages to break up teams and start new ones too much. But if there is just two season per NHL i kind of get that it is necessary to be able to start in Pro. But hey, we want and need more ECL seasons. Cut off other tournaments if needed. And i seriously dont get with what logic have you got to conclusion that it would encourage teams to disband. It does the opposite.

    The point is that it is not fun to play against teams that are on totally different level. Skill cap between 80 teams is just too big. There is teams that have played together for years and teams that have players who are still learning buttons.

    Like i said before. Vesa Pompa is not a good example for you guys. First of all, they didn`t even raise to PRO on their first season. At their first season in ECL Lite they played with team name Lehmannen Badboyz and managed to gain 19 points in 16 games. Second season they gained 36 points in 26 games. Is this the team that should have start in Elite or what? They have got better during this time, but when they started... they were not clearly better than some Lite teams. In fact my team played both of those seasons in same group with those guys and during that time my team gained more points. Just because some team has Elite level player or two does not mean that the team is Elite level. Can i ask, how would you evaluate who should start in Lite/Pro/Elite? E: and if the problem is that there is too many good players playing at lower levels, shouldnt we talk about taking more teams to Pro and Elite?

    Exactly. Main point is number of divisions... Last season there were about 80 teams just in Lite. So size of Lite is about the same than what was whole ECL when community decided to split it in three divisions. 80-100 teams division makes no sense...at least not at its current form. I have seen 0 good speach of why there should be just 3 divisions. If we want that Elite dudes can join straight to Pro or Elite with new club, we can do so no matter is there four or even five divisions.

    Exactly. There is over 5000 users in this community and maybe under 150 players in ELITE. Why should it be easy and fast to get there with your own team? If you playing in PRO or LITE feels like pulling nails, join some Elite team trough tryouts. There is great players and even teams in Lite and Pro every season. But the elite of the elite players and specially teams play in ELITE.

    I have no idea what the fact that some team don`t have time to grind from PRO to ELITE has to do with should or should us not change the current ECL system. And BTW i think Vesa Pompa did not even raise from Lite to Pro on their first season. Their name in ECL7 was Lehmannen Badboyz...or something like that. I think it was very must justified that they started in Lite.

    Yeah, but i mean that now it is 1-2 month, because it is possible to start in PRO and play that 2 month and then you have Elite team. I like it a bit more that existing PRO and ELITE teams would get stronger fe. the way you mentioned. I agree, 3 ECL season / NHLXX would be good. There isnt any reasons why NG should tie ECL to calendar years. I think it would be cool if tournaments were something like: ECL1 ECL2 ECL3 RCL, GCL, FCL, SCL ( is it possible to do all at the same time?) Summerup And if RCL and GCL need to have their own tournaments around year then they can.. But it would be cool if at least FCL and SCL is about same time.

    Is it really necessary to be able to create new Elite teams just like that in a 1-2 month? I would like to see path to become an Elite team to be longer. It would increase the value of Elite / Pro teams and the hours that GMs give to build their team. And if its harder to raise a team to Elite level, Elite / Pro managers have better free agents available to sign. I think that very skilled new teams should start in Semi-Pro... But this question among many other is something NG staff need to think about.

    There was some talk of this topic at the end of last year. I and many others think that there is too many teams in ECL for just 3 divisions. Huge number of Lite teams causes too short regular season and too long play-offs. And not to forget huge cap on skill level as well. I personally think that NHL Gamer should not waste any more time on this decision. It should be made before ECL9. Time is short. Please be fast to share your opinion on this case and also remember to vote. I think there should be 4 divisions ECL ELITE (16 teams) ECL PRO (32 teams) ECL SEMI PRO (32 teams) ECL LITE (rest of the teams)

    Hmmmm... where does it say so? In quote from this news story it looks like regular season + 4 rounds (including finals). Regular season: 5.8.-25.8. Playoffs round 1: 26.8.-28.8. Quarter Finals: 29.8.-1.9. Semi Finals: 2.9.-4.9. Finals: 5.9.-9.7.
