  1. The WO's are a difficult issue. I understand the point you guys are making about nullifying all the games. However, the rule has been out there since before the start of the tournament. We did not want to change the rule during the tournament, but it can be reviewed later. Changing the rule would have directly affected one of the staff member's teams, which would have been quite controversial to say the least.
  2. Players of HC Circus have been proven to have made several infractions against the rules of the tournament, as outlined below. A. The assistant captain of the team, Pair4You has deliberately manipulated the statistics of his team's matches mainly to his own benefit by adding points and moving penalties to other players. This action continued for the whole of the regular season. By doing so Pair4You has breached the following rules: 8. Match report All stats reported must correspond with the figures in game. 3. Code of conduct Members are not allowed to try circumventing the rules. B. The captain of the team, oGBioLan, as well as the other assistant captain of HC Circus, Filariou, have been ruled to have broken the rules concerning the responsibilities of the captains of a team. 4. Responsibilities All managers (C and A) are the representatives of their entire team, as such they are responsible for: • Ensuring their team complies with the tournament rules at all times C. One of the players of HC Circus, Jesse, recently contacted the NHLGamer staff and made claims that one of the administrators had been spreading confidential information of the case to the public. After a thorough investigation to the issue it was determined that these claims were false. Thus, Jesse has committed a major offense in the Code of Conduct. 3. Code of conduct Members are not allowed to try circumventing the rules. Members are not allowed to deceive or give NHL Gamer staff false information. Disciplinary actions: HC Circus has been disqualified from the tournament. Their remaining games will be given as walkovers to their opponents, as outlined in the rules when a team is disqualified while having completed at least 80% of the games. Due the systemic nature of infractions committed by Pair4You, and the fact that he is also an assistant captain of the team, he will be suspended from NHLGamer tournaments for this and the next season. His statistics for this season will be nullified and replaced by a bot. Jesse will be suspended from the ongoing tournament and 12 games of the next tournament. He is also forbidden to act as a captain or an assistant captain in the next tournament. oGBioLan and Filariou are given a serious warning due to major neglect of their responsibilities as team captains. Final words: We understand that the penalties handed out are quite hard. However, the offenses committed were so severe and numerous, that no other option was seen viable.
  3. Yeah, I agree with you. I'm sure all applications will be very welcomed if someone feels they can give a hand on a task or another.
  4. Good stuff. Jageksi has a golden touch when it comes to scoring goals. Really the only thing that has changed since the interview was conducted was that Haldeman joined our team, so now we actually have two fantastic active D-men and one who's currently not-so-active. Gendlik is now also serving in the military (or being served?). It's been constantly -25 to -30 degrees since he left, which, frankly, I'm quite spiteful of. He'll be a beast when he's released.
  5. Greetings fellow gamers, As the regular season is drawing to a close with some very tight battles for playoff spots going on, it is a good time to thank the teams involved for having gone this far without too many controversies, some teams even for outstanding shows of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct. In the grand scheme of things we are still a small community, but it is exactly why we must continue to show respect to one another, even if doing so could bring some short-term disadvantages. Having said that, the ongoing tournament is very big. On matchdays the sheer number of games played can be mind-boggling at times. It is for this reason that we at NHLGamer wanted to remind everyone of the importance of accurate match reporting. The amount of staff available is very limited, and all of it is run on what time we happen to have available in our lives -- sometimes, unfortunately, even more than that. We do understand that mistakes do occur and the match reporting feature still has the odd glitch in it. Nevertheless, we strongly urge you to report the matches as accurately as possible. Right now a big portion of our time is spent on fixing match reports, and all of this time is away from actually developing the current features and creating new ones. So, if you only have a few minutes to spare for match reporting, it would be better to do it the next day, but within 24 hours of course. Furthermore, it should be noted that errors in match reports should be posted in this reporting errors thread and any bugs or problems with the site in this bugs or problems thread. This way we can ease off some of the pressure that comes from getting private messages on these issues on 5 different platforms of communication. While we firmly believe that a simple reminder will help with the issue, we have also decided to introduce a sanctions system for repeated neglect of standards of match reporting. In case of repeated user error offenses, a warning will be issued. Once a warning has been given, further offenses may lead to a suspension or a deduction in team points. The rule also applies to the 24 hour period within which the matches should be reported. While not all of you might be as keen on statistics, we are very excited about some features currently under development that will eventually make it possible to bring in some very interesting advanced statistical tools for your disposal. Thank you for your time and attention. On behalf of the NHLGamer Staff, janbonator
  6. Can't access ECL standings and stats. I get the following error message: Not Found The requested URL /league.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
