  1. Not sure if people already know about this but still wanted to share a newly found 'feature' I saw posted on Twitter. It seems that same team crossplay is achievable in World of Chel even in NHL 23. The video at the bottom of my post probably illustrates how to do this better, but I'll attempt to explain it here as well: In World of Chel, go to the Threes Eliminator leadearboards, and filter by daily global club leaderboard. The idea is to have a club in this list that is on the opposite console and you can join. The original tweet explains that one way to do this is having your friends play three games of Threes Eliminator, so to appear on that leaderboard. This is one way to get on your friends' club if you are planning to play regularly with the same group. It does take some time though and an alternate way I found is that you could also try and find a club that is public (look for a low club level) and join that one. This could be better when you are playing random games, drafts, friendlies, etc. Once you are in the club, you can freely go to any dressing room and your friends on the other console can just search up the club's name in the WoC hub and enter the dressing room as well. Once one person is in the dressing room, they can invite players from their console to the lobby, so you just need one person from each console to actually join the club to be able to get a full lobby going. A slight hassle to set this up but it's pretty amazing that something like this was discovered, even if it is at the lowest point in the game's lifecycle 😀 Original tweet with a video of this being done
  2. Back with another one this year for those interested!
  3. Free backup (starting role not fine) Have Pro experience (admittedly some seasons ago now..) mostly played on the wing but center works as well. Contact here or PSN: PSchibra
  4. Reviving this topic after some years.. Recently I put together some highlights I managed to capture from this summer (unfortunately a period when 6v6 gameplay wasn't as prevalent), feel free to check it out below!
  5. Silver Sword Griffins 🇱🇻 (WECL 3) The historic club returns once again to take part in the WECL this summer; the line-up sees some returning names and some new ones. So far the roster is as follows: PSchibra (C) 🇱🇻 Ritchey_LV_ (A) 🇱🇻 MAYZIIX (A) 🇪🇪 Rocky-x89-LV 🇱🇻 Happymack29 🇱🇻 ertmanisk 🇱🇻 profiilipakki 🇫🇮 Virusactive 🇷🇺 Hasek-39-- 🇦🇹 .ZiGi_LV 🇱🇻 devilfish333 🇦🇹 Sponsored by GG catina agency 🤩
  6. Didn't see it mentioned in the rules; is there any limit on the maximum number of players on a team? @Claudi27
  7. Glad to see the WECL is making a return! Although the last tournament was also held in the Summer, and I recall some number of teams not being able to participate, as the Summer months tend to be pre-planned with vacations and other types of leisure which make it hard for teams to consistently participate in tournaments. Hopefully that won't be as big a detriment this year (or it will be offset by the number of new teams joining for their first season 😃)
  8. I think the thought itself (having one champion per year) is a good one, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about it. I'm not familiar with the Finnish junior league system, so all I have to go off is the description you've provided here, but at first glance it seems like it's pretty much what already happens with the exception that the first ECL of the game's cycle is renamed to give it less meaning/value? Seems to me like if you have one long season with a halfway point that includes a promotion/relegation series, divisional playoffs for the top teams, resetting of the standings after said playoffs, presumably re-opening of the transfer window, etc., then isn't that what we have currently? As mentioned before, it would certainly mean a lot more if there was only one champion per year, and that would also resemble the system that takes place in most traditional sports leagues, but my guess is that it would be hard to fully make the transition to a single, year-round tournament due to the nature of nhl 6v6 esports. Some of the reasons being that teams are formed by the players themselves, which tend to change rosters/ownership at much higher rates; some teams being in a division that does not match their level, thus causing the need for somewhat frequent promotions/relegations; the fact that this is just a casual pastime for the vast majority and not everyone can or should be forced to engage in something like that for a whole year. Perhaps there is a way to make it work, though, and I would definitely be interested to see how that works out.
  9. Silver Sword Griffins (WECL 2) Are looking for a Goalie for WECL 2 Must have 'local' nationality in WECL (not from Finland, Sweden, Germany etc.) Contact me here or on PSN: PSchibra
  10. Silver Sword Griffins Finalized our roster for WECL 2 and RCL Cup 2: Goalies: Janikka- [WECL] // someth1ng_w1ld [RCL] Defensemen: MAYZIIX (A) | Ritchey_LV_ (A) | idANik_ [RCL] Forwards: PSchibra (C) | IKarkkiI | MCH_98 | GLaDi-K Passionate supporter: pakjiz
  11. Silver Sword Griffins (WECL 2 and RCL CUP 2) Are looking for one backup player for both of the above-mentioned leagues. Requirements include: Not played in an Elite or Pro playoff team in ECL 12. Can comfortably play C and LD (additional positions will be a plus). Reasonably available for practice games and/or league games. Other self-explanatory qualities such as being able to communicate in English, having a decent level of skill, willingness to adapt to the team's game style, etc. We will try to go with our main group of skaters when possible, therefore I cannot make any promises about ice time. *Reminder: this is ! not for ECL ! but only the two aforementioned leagues that will take place before the release of NHL 22. If you can satisfy all of the conditions and wish to join our journey towards acquiring silverware, please contact me either here or on PSN: PSchibra
  12. No offense to any of the teams in WECL, but realistically none of them (including mine) are in a position to sign Elite and for the most part Pro players to join them for upcoming ECL seasons. Spartiates X MCES is the only team playing above ECL Lite and even still, I imagine they would find it difficult to sign someone from those divisions purely because of the language barrier. In my opinion, you would see the inverse happening – teams signing big name foreign players just to boost their chances of winning in this specific league, in that way getting rid of what I believe to be the essence of this tournament, which I think is more of a country vs country format. I'll use Martindale and the UK as an example, but this could apply to many other countries as well. Previously, if Martindale wanted to compete in this tournament, he was incentivized to join a team based in the UK, find and connect with players from his region and play with them because of the given restrictions (yeah, he could also join another team but I think that would not be as interesting since if you just wanna play with the best and against the best, you have ECL). But now given that there is no skill cap and you can have half of your roster be foreign (7 foreigners for 14 total players), it is possible to just take your ECL starting 6 team which is full of foreigners and fill out the rest of the roster with some local guys that are never gonna see any ice time just to meet the criteria. That may have been a bit of an extreme example, but it is certainly possible as well as advantageous under the given criteria. What you're more likely to see is already established teams that have a unified national background sidelining some of their long-time teammates just to give those spots to guys who are miles above their level and can carry the team on their own. If you want a practical example of this, just look at RCL 7 Pro. All it takes is one Elite player to drag an average group of guys all the way to the finals. That tournament only allowed 1 foreigner per team, and it still had such a pronounced effect, so if you add more, it's just gonna become a game of who can hide their locals the best and whose foreign stars can shine the brightest.
  13. Curious as to why these two rules were changed: Those implementations stray away from what the WECL should be about IMO
  14. Gotta appreciate the effort put into creating content for all of the divisions
  15. For those interested, the finals series will be played Wednesday (4 games) and Thursday (rest of the games). Games starting 21:00 CEST / 22:00 Finnish time on https://twitch.tv/grenoblebdlesport
  16. Barys Esports looking for Forward (C/RW) for ECL 12 Pro/Lite and RCL 8 Pro. Our lineup consists of Russians/Finns from Pro and Lite with high ambitions for both the ECL and RCL. Having at least "Pro starter" status (16+games in ECL 11 Pro or 20+ games in ECL 10 Pro) is required, as we will try to qualify as a wildcard team for the Pro qualifiers. You should be able to communicate in either English, Russian or Finnish. Contact either me or @MAYZIIX

  19. Silver Sword Griffins (WECL) Are looking for 2 players (can be either foreign or non-foreign) G (ice time depends on how well you play) Utility skater (the more positions you can play, the better) We will try to go with our main group of skaters when possible, but the lineup will likely rotate a lot, so if you're looking for some competitive 6v6 action before the upcoming ECL season (and have a decent level of skill, teamplay, English, etc.), then contact me either here or on PSN: PSchibra *Reminder: this is for WECL only and ! not ECL !, therefore, we won't be playing much apart from the official league gamedays. Also, there are restrictions on who can and can't play in this league so make sure to familiarize yourself with the WECL Rules before applying. Thanks!
