The combined prize pools for ECL Winter, ECL Spring and the ECL Grand Finals will be larger than anything seen before here in NHL esports! We’ll be hosting an ECL Grand Final – with an additional prize pool – to crown the annual ECL Champion. This much-anticipated best-of-seven event will feature the ECL Elite teams who won ECL Winter and ECL Spring, respectively. Prize pools for ECL Pro, Lite and Core ECL Elite remains the pinnacle of virtual hockey gaming in Europe but as our community continues to grow and the competition becomes increasingly tougher, playing in ECL Pro, Lite and Core is more prestigious than ever before. We’ll be adding a license and prize pool for our second-tier division; ECL Pro – and voluntary licenses and prize pools for ECL Lite and Core. ECL Pro will feature a mandatory license fee and prize pool. All the money from the team licenses goes into the prize pool. The top sixteen (16) out of the divisions’ 32 teams will be awarded a share of the prize pool. ECL Lite and Core will feature a voluntary license fee and a prize pool for the teams who choose to acquire a license. The top 16 teams that choose to acquire a license in ECL Lite (64 teams) will be awarded a share of the prize pool. The top 32 teams that choose to acquire a license in ECL Core (128 teams) will be awarded a share of the prize pool. See more about licenses in our Licenses section. Although the Warmup Tournament will not be under as strict scrutiny as the ECL, we want to remind you to respect your opponents and go about the games just as you would when playing real ECL league matchups. Tiebreakers If teams are tied in points after the group stage, we will utilize these usual tiebreakers * Wins (including OT-wins) Head-to-head record (points in mutual games) Goal difference (across all games played) Scored goals (across all games played) *In the event of the tiebreakers being applied to teams from differing group sizes, ‘wins’ will be represented as a percentage, head-to-head will naturally be disregarded, goal difference will be made into an ‘average per game’ amount, goals scored will (like goal difference before it) be converted into an ‘average per game’, then finally, if all else fails to break the tie between two teams, a coin flip will decide. Playoffs Playoff teams will be seeded against all playoff-bound teams from best to worst according to the system detailed below, as well as with the general tiebreakers mentioned above Group winners Group runners-up Teams that finished 3rd Teams that finished 4th Teams that finished 5th Teams that finished 6th We hope you're as excited as we are to get back into the action - have fun!

NHLGamers, We have now opened registrations for Wildcard teams! After reading this article, you will know if your team can apply for a wildcard spot and how this will affect your team’s players. If you haven't read our general information yet, we suggest you head over to our ECL '22 Winter season article. What does "Wildcard team" mean? A Wildcard team is a newly created team consisting of experienced community members with such experience and skill that could warrant playing at a higher level than the one the current team would otherwise be assigned to. Alternatively, a team that has strengthened significantly over the offseason can also be considered a Wildcard team. How many Wildcard spots are there? There are always four Wildcard spots up for grabs in the Pro and Lite divisions. How are Wildcard spots decided? If there are more Wildcard eligible teams than spots are available, Wildcard qualifiers will be played. The final format is determined by the number of teams and the lineups of the registered teams (for example, if eight teams meet the Pro Wildcard requirements, then four of those will play in the Lite qualifiers and there is no room for those who have registered for the Lite Wildcard). ECL '22 Pro Wildcard eligible teams Alliance HT Bastu Fiasko Nemesis Prima eSport Vaxjo Lakers WannaCry Because of a total of 7 eligible teams the Wildcard Battle will be played and the four best teams will be playing in the Pro Qualifier. If a former Elite player wants to participate in a qualifier for a Wildcard, Pro or Lite team, then they will be locked into that division at where the team ends up throughout the season Transfer to a lower division is possible If a former Pro player wants to participate in a qualifier for a Wildcard, Pro or Lite team, then they will be locked into that division at where the team ends up for 2 weeks (starting from the first game played in Pro that season) Transfer to a lower division is possible Wildcard Qualifiers and Lite & Pro Qualifiers are part of the season so it is good to remember that only one transfer is allowed during the season Teams with a Lite division spot can apply for Wildcard status for Pro Qualifiers without losing their spot

Creating your player card Once you're logged in and don't already have created a player card, the below prompt - telling you that you don't yet have a player card - will be visible on top of any content, whether it's on the SportsGamer.gg main page or the community side: Above: On the community side you can click "Click here" to create the player card. Below: Great, we've now found the player card! On this page you want to fill out: First name - Real or fictional first name (be sure you use the same name in the game). Last Name - Real or fictional last name (be sure you use the same name in the game). Note: The SportsGamer account name, PSN ID / Gamertag and player name must not be of offensive, insulting, crude or vulgar nature. SportsGamer Staff reserves the right to request players to change these details if deemed inappropriate. PSN Online ID - If you own a PlayStation console, please enter your PlayStation Network Online ID into this box. If you don't have a PSN account, leave this box empty. Xbox Live Gamertag - If you own an Xbox console, please enter your Xbox Live Gamertag into this box. If you don't have an Xbox account, leave this box empty. Note: While you can leave the PSN Online ID or Xbox Live Gamertag box empty, you must fill in at least one of the boxes to be able to save your player card and start playing. Jersey Number - Choose the number for your player. Please note that every player on a team needs to have a unique number, i.e. two players on the same team cannot use the same number. Positions you play - Here you can select one (1) or more positions that you like/are open to play. LW = Left Wing C = Center RW = Right Wing LD = Left Defenseman RD = Right Defenseman G = Goalie Preferred Position - What is your favorite position, or for this purpose, for the tournament/league you're signing up for, what will be your main position? This will determine in which category you show up in your team's roster. Good news - that's it! Once you're happy with what you've entered, go ahead and click that "Save" button. If everything went according to play, you should now be seeing this green notification at the top of your screen: Don't worry, you can always come back to edit your player card by using the front page menu, clicking your user name and selecting "EDIT PLAYER" (see image). Note: If there were any issues with saving your card, you should get a red notification with an explanation telling you what went wrong. If you can't figure out what the issue is and need help, please don't hesitate to contact our support. You're now ready to visit your profile, which you can do through the same menu and selecting "MY PROFILE". And there it is, your new player card! As you can see, your player card will use the same image as we uploaded as a profile picture while creating our community account, so if you want to avoid making that "d-oh!" face, pick something that you will be happy with. Your newly created profile is a bit empty of course, but don't you worry - you're ready to join a team, jump on the ice and rack up some points (or saves... or penalty minutes - we don't judge!). Here's a little preview of what that might look like: And that's it - you're now ready to join or create a team!

To report matches that were disconnected at some point during a game, the winning team uses the manual reporting tool to report general game stats and the own team's individual player stats and events. After this is submitted, the away team must report their team's individual player stats and events by completing the match report from within the API reporting tool. The manual reporting tool can be accessed by selecting “Team tools” -> “Add match (EA API)”, then selecting the “Click here to use the manual tool”, as shown below: Step-by-step manual tool instructions: 1. Select the game that you want to add stats to by clicking on “Add stats from DNF Game”. By pressing this button for the first part it will add the first part of the game from the API. 2. Click “Add stats from DNF game” button again. 3. Now press the Add stats button for the 2nd part of the game. This will add the 2nd part of the stats to the stats that you already imported. So, if the shots were 5 in the first part and 6 in the second, the shots will now say 11. If there were more than two parts, you repeat this until you added all parts. 4. At this point you should pretty much have everything automatically input similarly to if you were adding a regular game from the API. 5. You can correct any errors, remove any stats that didn't actually happen (if for example the game was continued and the goals from the first part of the game were added to the 2nd game for convenience, you need to remove the doubled stats). Submit and you are done.
