  1. Hello everyone and welcome to the eHockey SM (Finnish Championship) 2024 6v6 tournament! The primary communication for this tournament has been sent out in Finnish per email, and this news story is intended for English-speaking players and anyone interested in following along with the tournament. The eHockey SM 6v6 groups are now displayed and available for viewing. To view the match schedule, click here. Please note that the match schedule is quite compact, so be sure to contact your opponents well in advance and agree on the days of play - as the preliminary round must be played by March 21st. Also, note that games to be played on the standard day and time must be confirmed with the opponent, so just showing up without discussing with the opponent is insufficient. Before starting the games, we want to ensure that each team member checks that they have purchased the Leijonat eHockey Pelipassi (Game Pass). The Game Pass must be acquired before the first game, but no later than March 11th, 2024, at 23:59. After this, unlicensed players will be removed from the team roster. If an unlicensed player has participated in a match, it will automatically be recorded as a forfeit victory for the opposing team. The team captaincy must fill out the following form for license verification before playing your first match: https://forms.gle/ZDjDeTQsykQ4jxvY8 (remember to use the email address with which purchase transactions have been made in Suomisport!) (Swedish) Eligibility In the development of our regional leagues, the main objective has been creating a structure that allows all of the regional communities to shine, while strengthening each tournament’s own unique identity and sense of national pride. For SCL 2024, two non-Swedish players will be allowed per team on ice in a game – under very specific conditions. Here they are: Outside of the Swedish championship (SCL). The German (GCL), Finnish (eHSM), and Czech and Slovak (CSCL) communities will be defined as the “major communities” for the purposes of this text. Players hailing from nations that currently do not have a region-based championship to sign up for – one where they are allowed to play free of restrictions and are counted as the main target demographic – will be defined as “minor communities” for the purposes of this text. All teams must always feature a minimum of 4 Swedish players in their on-ice lineup Teams may feature a maximum of two non-Swedish players on ice if both players are from a minor community (for example: Danish, Norwegian, Latvian) Teams may feature a maximum of two non-Swedish players on ice if one player is from a major community (German, Finnish, Russian, Czech, Slovak) and the other player from a minor community Teams may NOT feature two non-Swedish players on ice if both those players are from a major community (German, Finnish, Russian, Czech, Slovak) Below you will find an image to help illustrate this rule clarification: The 1vs1 portion of the SCL is available only for Swedish citizens. We hope you are as excited as us to take the ice and battle for the Swedish Championship once again! Tough battles and some heated rivalries are to be expected, and we'll be bringing you the decisive games of the season live with our broadcast team as usual. So without further ado, get your squad together and sign up now! Finally, if you would like to help the SCL grow, please do so by spreading the word by sharing this news story.

Nevertheless, this left your player card unlinked and that's why you were having this issue. I have re-linked your account with your player card and everything should be ok now. 👋

  7. As the NHL 24 competitive season progresses, the time has come to battle it out for the 2024 Finnish championship. In addition to the Finnish Championship title, the tournament will offer the chance to win great Leijonat prizes and prize money. The prize pool consists of a 3,000 € starting pot, on top of which the total of all Leijonat eHockey Pelipassi purchases made this season will be added to the prize pool. Starting in early March, this eHockey SM is the third of its sort and one of the cornerstones in the cooperation between SportsGamer and the Finnish Ice Hockey Association. The 2023 season was once again one full of exciting action and incredible turns of events. In April 2023, Teemu @temppanen Karvonen was crowned the Champion on the 1v1 side of things after making a comeback with half a second remaining in the final series, whereas NHL 19 Allstars (=Straikers) managed to claim the trophy on the 6v6 side. The reigning Champions will receive invites to the Playoff stage to defend their titles. Additionally, NHL 23 World Championship silver medalist Erik @Eki Tammenpää will receive an invitation. To visit the Finnish landing page with more info in Finnish, click here. As usual, the 2024 Finnish Championship will be played in both 1v1 and 6v6 modes, so participation is possible both as an individual and with a team. The tournament will be played on the PlayStation 5 version of NHL 24. 6v6 play is also open to Xbox Series X/S teams as part of the newly introduced cross-play feature. Leijonat eHockey Pelipassi Players in Leijonat eHockey events, tournaments, and series organized by the Ice Hockey Federation must have a Leijonat eHockey Pelipassi (=Game Pass). The Game Pass is valid for the whole season 1.8.2023-30.7.2024 and can be used to participate in all SJL Leijonat eHockey events, tournaments, and series for the 2023-24 season. The price of the Game Pass is 5 €. All participation fees go directly into funding the prize pool. Click the button below to purchase the Game Pass. 9. Finals Previews  SACK BROTHERS (2) vs  Belissimo (9) As the virtual ice beckons for the grand finale of the ECL '24 Winter - Core, the eHockey community braces for an epic showdown between the high-flying Sack Brothers and the steadfast Belissimo. The path to the finals has been a testament to each team's prowess and their captivating journey sets the stage for a clash that promises to deliver intensity, skill, and strategic depth. The Sack Brothers have been nothing short of an offensive juggernaut throughout the playoffs, netting a remarkable 91 goals. Their special teams have been a cornerstone of their success; a scintillating powerplay boasts a 24.49% conversion rate, and their penalty kill stands resilient at 83.78%. These statistics are not just numbers but a reflection of a disciplined team that knows how to capitalize on every opportunity and stifle the opposition's threats. Anchoring their defensive end is the stalwart goaltending of @Janucek, who has posted an impressive 85.61% save percentage and a GAA of 1.82, a bulwark that has consistently given the Sack Brothers the edge. The goaltender duo for Sack Brothers has shared their duties pretty much  50/50 with the responsibility between the pipes, though, and the finals series will be started by @Supeeerkirooo (80.74%, 2.36 GAA), who had a key role in winning the Semifinals against Bushwhackers in a seven-game series, where the goalies also shared the responsibility. Belissimo's journey has been characterized by a solid defense and a balanced offensive strategy, having scored 61 goals while conceding 49. Their power play might not match the explosiveness of the Sack Brothers, standing at 10.81%, but it's their defensive grit that has shone, with a penalty kill rate of 81.25%. They've demonstrated an ability to grind out results, as reflected in their 12-3-5-2 playoff record, and have continuously found ways to triumph in the face of adversity. The finals matchup sets a tantalizing narrative: the Sack Brothers' offensive firepower versus Belissimo's defensive fortitude. Special teams could play the pivotal role; the Sack Brothers' potent power play could be the decisive factor, while Belissimo's ability to withstand and counter-attack could level the playing field. In the playoffs so far, Belissimo has been called for 62 penalty minutes (2.8 PIM/game), while Sack Brothers have sat in the box a little more, at 74 minutes (3.7 PIM/game).   In this ultimate test of ECL Core supremacy, the Sack Brothers parade a multi-dimensional attack led by the phenomenal @Jjomppa, the playoffs' top scorer with an incredible 70 points, and the ever-dangerous @snippystatue, who has amassed 54 points. Their depth is further illustrated by players like @datzonee, who has notched 24 points. Belissimo counters with the distributed scoring from @MrMikkiL and @Hauhtonen, suggesting a team synergy that thrives without reliance on individual stardom. As the puck drops on the finals, we're poised to witness a potential goaltending duel that could steal the spotlight, with both @Janucek/@Supeeerkirooo and @Odexm proving they can be game-changers. It comes down to which team can leverage their strengths and exploit the opposition's weaknesses. Will the Sack Brothers' offensive prove overwhelming, or will Belissimo's balanced approach and resilience craft a path to victory? The ECL '24 Winter - Core finals promise not just a battle for the championship title but a spectacle that you will definitely want to tune in to! ChatGPT Prediction: Sack Brothers to win 4-2. This prediction is based on the statistical analysis of both teams' performances thus far and the assumption that the Sack Brothers' offensive momentum will carry them through, despite the tough competition Belissimo is sure to provide. May the best team win! 12. SportsGamers, Esports enthusiasts and NHL video game aficionados, brace yourselves for the upcoming one-on-one battles in the ECL '24: Winter - 1v1 season that kicks off our ECL 1v1 year. As the frosty season unleashes its chilly embrace, gamers are gearing up to face off in a series of intense qualifiers set to take place on the 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th of February. The season will be played in the Online Versus game mode on PlayStation 5. The competition's format is as thrilling as a sudden-death overtime, with each qualifier following a merciless double-elimination bracket. The stakes are high, as only the top 8 players from each qualifier will advance to the coveted TOP 32 group stage. The seeding is meticulously planned, ensuring a dynamic and suspense-filled progression through the tournament ranks. The first seeds (1-4) will be the victors from the upper bracket of Qualifier 1, with the subsequent seeds (5-8) coming from the lower bracket's best. This pattern continues through the qualifiers, with each set of eight seeds alternating between the upper and lower bracket survivors, culminating in seeds 29-32 from the lower bracket of Qualifier 4. Competitors can net themselves not only glory but also cold, hard cash from both seasons.
