@SportsGamer How hard can it be? Start a poll for Elite and Pro. React with a 🏆 if you want to bann Truc, UF and Tipper. (Or other abilities) React with a 👍🏻if you want to play ECL with all abilities available. Only for players that played in ECL Elite and ECL PRO in ECL Spring Democracy is a good thing

I feel like lot of people especially in the lower divisions in this community doesn't want or dare to share their opinion because they feel it doesn't matter because I quote "they aren't the best players in the game". Just look at the toxic response what happened here after the announcement. And well ban all or nothing it doesn't really matter to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

here you go, this is highlights from ONE draft game!

Played like 100 games around in goalie already - from start thinked we cant figure out properly what abilitie to ban, no its 100% clear, close quarters and one timers need to be banned. its just ridiculous, if not one timer, then close quarters for sure, its seems like close quarters cant be stoped, if you are close to goalie with close quarters no matter what you do as goalie its in. you get like in one period awfully ridiculous fast close quarter goals like in one net and other net. if you use close quarter and get like breakaway no matter how good you read breakaway its in, i got like on the puck and on the side where he shoot and there was almost zero place and its get in because close quarters, or you get close quarter shot sniped in through glove, im not like breakaway specialist or what, but its ridiculous how lot of time, when you move to save you dont save because its close quarter abilitie shot. its just so boosted up i dont know why they did it, no other abilitie seems so powerfull or over powerfull as close quarters is now. you can be sure if you sniped, scored its close quarters in build. Seems like some kinda wizzardy close quarter shot always find the way how to get that puck in... about one timers abilities - seems overpowered also - because you already get like scripted in realy strong fast one timers, and if you get like boost over the boost its just ridiculous - this one timer golden even freeze you if you dont time well. sometimes i even cant blink how fast it goes in. sometimes i get it stopped only because i pre read a mile before and get in position, to move to that its unreal, that little ammount of time to react to that its crazy, goalies just cant catch that. its so ridiculous how easy to score in this game. i am pretty sure everyone agree with me on close quarters, atleast goalies. about tipper i cant say nothing, didnt saw it realy doing something, i think this year stopping tips is pretty easy, atleast a lot more solid stops when someone tips. last year if tip then seems like scripted that goalie will do akwardly wrong move no matter what.

Thanks for your perspective. People must have missed the original communication (1, 2) which stated the starting point is that there are no bans (quote below). Either way, we urge people and teams of any and every opinion to share their thoughts and discuss their opinions. Don't assume that one or two people sharing your opinion (whatever it may be) is enough to make a mark. Also, I want to emphasize that we are not only having this discussion for our community and ECL season, but any details and videos you can provide regarding why you think trait X is broken, we can share those with the gameplay team at EA and hopefully make a difference and see improvements in the game. This is one of the reasons I keep emphasizing the importance of the constructiveness of the conversation, aside from making yourselves understood in the right context.

Hey, Last year i was talking months that we need to ban things and nothing wasnt done... And everyone was this year already thinking that we ban those because of course those are broken every year.... And if people is quiet they are happy the way things are(trucu x tipper banned)

There’s clearly abilities that’s still gamebreaking. Allowing unstoppable force, truculence, big tipper etc for competitive tournaments is ridiculous. From a competitive standpoint it would be the best to play tournaments without abilities. But that will never happen so it would make the most sense to remove the ones that’s ruining the experience for the majority of the players (elite atleast). Big tipper, truculence and unstoppable force - should atleast be obvious bans.

After patch 1.1.1. We have a club of players from PS5 and Xbox. When we find an opponent, after the readiness timer ends and before the game's splash screen appears, part of the team flies out. but more often players from PS5. The game writes that you left the party and then a window - "game configuration failed The game suffered a configuration fail. Please try again"

Just saying from a goalies perspective, I think tipper ( gold or silver) is just too op, and I think that unstoppable force has been nerfed (this perspective is from me playing hut). For me is safe to say that tipper is just too op

For those criticizing the decision, this conversation has been available for over a month and five people have weighed in on the bans. Perhaps the question didn’t reach a big enough portion of the players, but it was communicated from the start that the starting point is that there will be no bans and that this thread on the forums is the right place to argument for what and why it should be banned. A poll is a good idea on paper, but we want to make sure we are making decisions based on constructive conversations and analysis rather than an opinion might just be echoed by people who haven’t even tried the traits they are voting against. I’m glad this conversation has now got some more activity, so please keep the discussion active and constructive!

There has never been any gentlemen's agreements in ecl, people haven't been using tipper or truculence because people expected them to not be allowed in ecl, not because they are not good.

Why were something like this not thrown to a poll??? How can this decision be made without taking into account what the players think of it After all we are the ones playing with this shitty truculence big tipper meta... Also who has complained in the first place about truculence,big tipper,uforce being banned? Last year was horrific gameplay wise since the game sucked but those 2 seasons were much more enjoyable than the 23 winter season when we had truculence on minimum 4 skaters per team... I’m a bit curious how are these decision made? And why there cant be different rules for different divisions? Also, has big tipper for example ever been a trait someone considers balanced, how would that be different now?

Why we dont listen best players in this game?? I really really hope this year every elite team can do agreement that we dont use trucu x tipper….

I would've guessed that this would work - still haven't tested it outright but... we loaded into a private game vs an opponent we hadn't played a single time this year (grudge off, didn't result in a grudge match) --> game either froze or crashed for everyone before puck drop --> (so everyone booted the game) --> new search, grudge still off --> Grudge MatchTM --> 👍 After the game we went straight into a new one against the same opponents (no dr boot or game boot or anything), and what do you know, another grudge match. Oh, and after which, we started searching with ECLPro (=changed password), grudge still off, got the same opponents again, aaaaand GRUDGE MATCHTM
