As the NHL 24 competitive season progresses, the time has come to battle it out for the 2024 Finnish championship. In addition to the Finnish Championship title, the tournament will offer the chance to win great Leijonat prizes and prize money. The prize pool consists of a 3,000 € starting pot, on top of which the total of all Leijonat eHockey Pelipassi purchases made this season will be added to the prize pool. Starting in early March, this eHockey SM is the third of its sort and one of the cornerstones in the cooperation between SportsGamer and the Finnish Ice Hockey Association. The 2023 season was once again one full of exciting action and incredible turns of events. In April 2023, Teemu @temppanen Karvonen was crowned the Champion on the 1v1 side of things after making a comeback with half a second remaining in the final series, whereas NHL 19 Allstars (=Straikers) managed to claim the trophy on the 6v6 side. The reigning Champions will receive invites to the Playoff stage to defend their titles. Additionally, NHL 23 World Championship silver medalist Erik @Eki Tammenpää will receive an invitation.
