”Come with me,” said a voice in the darkness I once dwelt. ”I will lead the way.” The road ahead was unknown, but I had to trust the vision of my guide. I’d been blind, after all, and I finally had eyes to see though they were not my own. ”Where are we going?” I inquired in rising anticipation. ”You will see.” A slight glimmer appeared in the distance. ”Do you see it?” asked the voice now booming with assuring authority. ”That’s the destination. That’s what you’ve sought as you’ve been stumbling in the dark.” Like a mirage, features of what had been but a promise in the void were taking form as we drew nearer. Imposing structures touching the clouds, draped in a cascade of neon lights flickering in invitation for a new beginning. At the tall gates of Monte Carlo, the familiar visage of my guide became apparent. ”We’ve arrived. We will find others, and we will bring them here too.” Current roster ktewjh/Lagezickarno - johtaja699 - KenuFHR/Lagezickarno Lagezickarno/? - Veskku/Lagezickarno Pettersson12/Lagezickarno We are looking to sign more players in the near future as Johtaja makes his legendary ”MOTTIPÄINEN TARJOUS” offers to promising candidates. The vow of Monte Carlo The leadership of Johtaja shall be unquestioned and absolute. My belief in Johtaja is never to falter, and I am grateful for the privilege in following his vision. Through wins and through losses my beacon remains: playing for Johtaja is the greatest victory of all.13 points

Funny when you said " LATER, their gm sent our gm message saying that they thought it was late" ; We finished the game 22.58, ur captain send message 22.59 "We are rdy" I sent message 23.00 "We won't play....." Get out from our topic if you don't have something new to say and focus in the games, simply your captain is talking lies like i msged him 30mins after games that we can't play or something...The decision is already made, pls chill.7 points

I don’t see a problem with playing just one game if nothing was agreed up front. I don’t know why one would categorize it as a ”loophole”. The wording in the rule should state that captains must agree to x amount of games when setting them up. If no agreement is made, one game would be the minimum.6 points

I have never played just one game, but I still don't think it's outrageous, especially considering it's the playoffs. I have been part of gamedays where the games have been completely rescheduled at the last minute, though, which is somewhat comparable. Like miiso said, it's a bit odd but nothing to get outraged over.4 points

Did AF tell you after the first game that they wasnt going to play more or did they leave you waiting for second game which never happened? If the latter, then i think it was somewhat bitchy move. However, no rules were break so i guess its fine but kind of weird to only play one game.2 points

You surely have complained heck of a lot about this incident, that it seems like you are deeply hurt Ps. I also dont like dumbasses.2 points

Everyone knows I'm an idiot, atleast I'm honest about it. The fact that you, up til now(?), have tried to behind a ruling to justify a weird and pretty disrespectful decision that your team made by yourselves, not including the other 6 people who were sitting at the other side of the Baltic Sea.1 point

Used all my emojiis already, i'll come back stronger tomorrow!!1 point

I would understand 5(?) to mean a fifth game is to be played if both teams agree to it. They didn’t. I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on the matter.1 point
-
Well, they did also announce the games as such (not in discussion with our GM, but in this thread): "Lite Playoffs Semi-Finals games 4 & 5(?)". Not "game 4". That leads a few people to believe that they "covered their backs" if the first games outcome didnt suit em. If someone reads that as "Oh, perhaps they feel a bit tired after the first game", especially since the always wants to play late games, good for them I guess. Again, I'm not outraged over the ruling. I'm surprised, however, that people don't seem to have any problem with that. But I guess they think that it's fine as long as it dosnt happen to themselves....? Kewl1 point

The thing is though playing two games is essentially implied, sure you can argue that it was never discussed but at some point you have to take into account the fact that the two game minimum is pretty heavily assumed by all players I'd wager. Ergo the onus to say that there's gonna be more / less games resides completely with AF.1 point

Ответ прост, sasha_rus_pro.

I've been playing forward for a while now. Playing RD was pretty tough at times but I've come to notice that LW/RW is really difficult in this game if you're not already good! I got off to a really nice start but that was the sort of honeymoon phase that I'm sure we're all familiar with in one form or another. Since then I've encountered the harsh reality where I struggle against a team that knows how to defend. I've tried to learn from watching the better forwards play. These Pleemakers and Adetikkis and Joukkis and Penatskis and Patzlafs and Lamsas (shout out to the hidden gem!) make it look so easy. Whenever I try to draw inspiration from that and pick up the controller again, I'm just reminded that those guys have played the forward positions a lot and that it's in those guys' DNA to do well. I even spent a while in practice trying to teach myself some sweet "jonne" hands. The end result of that is I can do a few pointless dekes that I'll sometimes spam without any good reason. It kind of resembles a cheap slapstick comedy act that gets booed off stage rather than calculated challenging of the defense. Another thing I'm trying to get better at is protecting the puck when the passing lanes are all taken away. The window for making a decision is often too narrow for my brain. It's really challenging for me to try and create space for my teammates or myself out there. I came from having played nothing but RD since NHL 11. I'll keep at this forward thing despite the frequent frustrations that I know I'll continue to have. I have to hope there's light at the end of the tunnel and that it's not just an enforcer defenseman about to crush my hopes and dreams of ever being a decent forward. It's certainly been humbling so far and I have some newfound respect for all you good forwards out there. I used to think you have it easier than defenders do, not having people track your team's goals allowed back to your own mistakes on the ice and just getting to basically relax and have a good time realizing your offensive vision. Actually, you're at constant pressure to get something done, to create chances and win the game for your team amid a tight defensive trap and minimal space to do your thing in the offensive zone. Anyway, it's nice to see the game I've been playing for so long and so much from this new perspective!1 point

The transition is really easy to make, Tanski. What you do is you just tell everyone that you're a forward now and you're not going back on defense, so everyone else just needs to adjust.1 point

Almost Famous games and gamedays last two series: 4-0 against Squad Villekuku(?) - 4 wins on 4 straight late games at the same date. Series against us however: 3 games first night (late games): they win the first two, gets beaten the third. Sure, only there games were planned, but they blaimed the loss on being tired ^^ Yesterday: ask us to play 1h before game time. Postpones the game start til 21:15, drops a guy when down 1-2 in the third, lose 1-3 and the series are even at two. During this time, they never mention that its just one game, never. In their own thread, they say ”game 4 & 5 (?)”. sure, there seems to be no rules in place to stop this kind of behaviour, but Almost Famous will henceforth be known as the team that forced the LAs to create s rule for this.1 point

Hi, LW looking for a team to play with for next ECL... have had some other stuff to do lately but im gonna start to play (or atleast try to) more regularly again.1 point

Naw, we were waiting for an invite, but when we saw that they shut down their stream we tried contacting them here. Later, their GM sent our GM a message saying that they couldn't play more b/c they thought it was late. What's even weirder is that they never mentioned this while we were waiting for the game to start again (one of their players dropped in the 3rd, had to re-do the game and start playing the 3rd). They could've said something before the game had ended, one could argue. Expecting a "confused" emoiji from that MCH-guy now, where he at? edit: Thx Connor0 points

Well, I agree that they didnt break any official rules since appearantly there arn't any rules in place at this time to hinder this. However, you and I have been in this scene for the same amount of time, I think, so tell me; have you ever played just one game when setting a date up with another team, especially when it seems like a lost cause to set another date the upcoming week? They're complaining that the clock ran away and it was too late to play a second game, yet all of their last 8 games were played around the same time, plus that they now want to play three games tonight, starting at 21:00 CET. I find this hilarious and pretty obvious. Good luck tonight, AF! Lets put this behind us and play some NHL instead.0 points
