The ECL 5 Elite season is at it's high point as Aapon Taikasauva (#1) is facing SJK eSports (#3) in the Best-of-7 Finals. Aapon Taikasauva was able to win the first two games 4-0 despite some good pressure by SJK eSports and it is possible that we will see a new champion tonight, unless SJK eSports is able to bounce back and challenge Aapo. I've been playing forward for a while now. Playing RD was pretty tough at times but I've come to notice that LW/RW is really difficult in this game if you're not already good! I got off to a really nice start but that was the sort of honeymoon phase that I'm sure we're all familiar with in one form or another. Since then I've encountered the harsh reality where I struggle against a team that knows how to defend. I've tried to learn from watching the better forwards play. These Pleemakers and Adetikkis and Joukkis and Penatskis and Patzlafs and Lamsas (shout out to the hidden gem!) make it look so easy. Whenever I try to draw inspiration from that and pick up the controller again, I'm just reminded that those guys have played the forward positions a lot and that it's in those guys' DNA to do well. I even spent a while in practice trying to teach myself some sweet "jonne" hands. The end result of that is I can do a few pointless dekes that I'll sometimes spam without any good reason. It kind of resembles a cheap slapstick comedy act that gets booed off stage rather than calculated challenging of the defense. Another thing I'm trying to get better at is protecting the puck when the passing lanes are all taken away. The window for making a decision is often too narrow for my brain. It's really challenging for me to try and create space for my teammates or myself out there. I came from having played nothing but RD since NHL 11. I'll keep at this forward thing despite the frequent frustrations that I know I'll continue to have. I have to hope there's light at the end of the tunnel and that it's not just an enforcer defenseman about to crush my hopes and dreams of ever being a decent forward. It's certainly been humbling so far and I have some newfound respect for all you good forwards out there. I used to think you have it easier than defenders do, not having people track your team's goals allowed back to your own mistakes on the ice and just getting to basically relax and have a good time realizing your offensive vision. Actually, you're at constant pressure to get something done, to create chances and win the game for your team amid a tight defensive trap and minimal space to do your thing in the offensive zone. Anyway, it's nice to see the game I've been playing for so long and so much from this new perspective!7 points

Can you stop blaming each other please? Both captains I talked to agreed that both were at fault for not being clear upfront. This also has an LA component to it, so we'll work on a playoffs paragraph for ECL 6 to take care of these things. Some of which might feel like a standard but actually aren't.4 points

I actually did try goalie. I just prefer not to talk about it anymore. You see, my budding goalie career was stifled by NOS in a game where I allowed 12 goals. That game was the Vietnam to my Lyndon B. Johnson, marring my time as goalie forever.1 point

Привет RCL! Первый раунд завершен в нашем первом турнире! Было много классных серий но во второй раунд проходят толко 4 команды. Где станет еще все на много круче! Итоги первого раунда: Rusty Bulls 4 - 1 HC CORSAIR GOOD JOB 4 - 0 TRAKTOR Demons HT 1 - 4 North West Battalion Ice Phoenix 4 - 0 HC Russian Agressor Рамки второго раунда: Второй раунд должен быть завершён до 17.12.2017 23:59 по московскому времени. В плей-офф команды вызывают на игры друг друга по очереди, первый вызывает тот кто выше закончил сезон в регулярке. Анонс второго раунда плей-офф: 1. Alliance HT - 10. North West Battalion Первый сезон, первый раз в плей-офф, первый раунд плей-офф пройден, но теперь на пути у команды «батальон» всеми известный клуб «альянс». Команда «батальонов» уже может говорить что для них первый турнир удался. В этой паре явный фаворит «альянс» , тут споров нет. В регулярке «батальон» смог зацепить очко в овертайме. Я думаю у «батальона» есть шанс зацепится за серию, но это не очень легкий путь будет. По воротам основного голкипера альянса бросили всего 173 раза за регулярку, по воротам «батальона» 334 раза. Что будет если нагрузить вратаря «альянса» по полной? Но при этом «батальону» придётся очень сильно трудится в обороне. Вся удача должна быть на стороне «батальона» что бы пройти этот раунд. Я ставлю на «альянс» 4-0. (P.S. Мнение мое не из за того что я играл в «альянсе») 2. Prometheus - 8. Ice Phoenix «Фениксы» свой первый раунд прошли довольно просто, но тут им придется играть с командой которая подошла к плей-офф в очень хорошей форме! «Прометеи» в своих последних десяти матчей одержали 10 побед! Сюда даже поместилась победа над «альянсом» 3-0! В регулярке две победы на счету «прометеев». У «фениксов» в списке бомбардиров два игрока на лидирующих позициях. Но команда играла в первом раунде против не совсем собранного соперник. Сейчас ситуация будет совсем другая, «прометеи» в полной боевой готовности. Ставлю на «прометеев» 4-2. 3. Nearbird Fighters - 6. GOOD JOB «Гуд джоб» тоже прошел свой первый раунд уверенно 4-0. По воротам «гуд джоба» было нанесено всего 18 бросков. В этой серии явно будет на много больше. Команды играли в регулярке самые первые матчи против друг друга. Тогда обе команды смогли выиграть по разу со счетам 2-0. После этих игр команды провели 34 матча, и кто знает как они сейчас сыграют с друг другом. Думаю серия будет зависит от игры вратарей. У вратаря «птиц» @MK_mgn лучший процент по отражённым броскам в регулярке. У вратаря «гуд джоб» @Markov - PSN: mypucm_77 этот показатель седьмой в регулярке. Так что думаю что «птицы» заберут серию 4-2. 4. Sibir Hc - 5. Rusty Bulls На мой взгляд эта пара будет самая интересная во втором раунде плей-офф. В регулярке «сибирь» опередила всего на одно очко «расти буллс». В первом раунде у «расти буллс» не так легко проходили игры. Все игры кроме одной завершились с разницей в одну шайбу и две в овертайме. Команда провела 5 нервозных встреч и в этой серии будет не легче. Кстате в регулярке встречи тоже завершились с разницей в одну шайбу и одна игра в овертайме, «Сибирь» смогла тогда забрать две победы. И это помогло им занять место выше в регулярке. «Расти буллс» точно это помнят и попробуют одержать победы когда они нужны больше всего. Тут думаю много игр перейдет в овертайм, серия завершится 4-3 в пользу «расти буллс». Желаю всем удачи во втором раунде! Далее будет новость про звезд первого раунда! Well we could have played tonight if we knew the verdict earlier of course. It's not easy to schedule your games when you don't get the info until the afternoon on the possible game day. And then you also hear the rumors that SJK - SKY will be given an extra day. WO's should never happen in this league But rules are rules also. Cool that you leave out the part that make you guys look like idiots: "...so we will likely include a seperate playoff paragraph to the rules for ECL 6 that includes a minimum amount of games per night among other clarifications" AF = first team that use a loophole to their advantage so that admins must create a rule so that it dosn't happen again. Almost Famous games and gamedays last two series: 4-0 against Squad Villekuku(?) - 4 wins on 4 straight late games at the same date. Series against us however: 3 games first night (late games): they win the first two, gets beaten the third. Sure, only there games were planned, but they blaimed the loss on being tired ^^ Yesterday: ask us to play 1h before game time. Postpones the game start til 21:15, drops a guy when down 1-2 in the third, lose 1-3 and the series are even at two. During this time, they never mention that its just one game, never. In their own thread, they say ”game 4 & 5 (?)”. sure, there seems to be no rules in place to stop this kind of behaviour, but Almost Famous will henceforth be known as the team that forced the LAs to create s rule for this.0 points

I want to personally thank you aF, for making this playoff series difficult. We've had difficulties setting up game dates and once you lose the first game this time around, you decide to disappear. Last time there were no difficulties playing three games, ofc not, you won the first two. Thank you, it's never a true playoff series without controversy and people refusing to play to make it as difficult as possible0 points
