  4. Hey NHL Gamers, we hope you are enjoying the NHL 18 Beta to the fullest by now! If not, be sure to check out our Beta Code Giveaway below: As you probably know, a beta of a game is more than just a demo for the consumers. Sure, it can be used as a marketing tool to get people excited for a game and I believe in the case of the NHL series it doubles as a demo, but it also usually serves a bigger purpose, such as: Getting general feedback from the customers before the game release. Introducing the beta to a bigger amount of people will certainly bring out some technical issues that hasn't been noted before and it can then be fixed before putting the game on disc (or at the very latest in the form of a day one patch). Testing the online server capabilities. Collecting data about customer behavior within the game for multiple purposes. We here at NHLGamer are playing the NHL 18 beta at least as much as the next guy and are very passionate about discussing our findings as well. We created a discussion thread for this purpose and we will also be sharing our key points with EA SPORTS as well (we're also pretty sure they are lurking around the forums this time a year to read about what us gamers have to say ). So please, join us in the discussion and vote on our poll by going to this forum thread: EA is also looking for direct feedback from all us, in the form of "General discussion and feedback", "Technical issues" and "Bug reporting". You can read more and participate in their official discussion by following this link. That's all for now folks, I'll let you get back to your beta gaming! On behalf of the NHLGamer staff,

  21. too many buttons changed up imo + no practice/free skate mode. there isn't a good way to perfect the new dekes and get used to the feel of the controls.

  22. Nice! I wish more teams would introduce their teams like tanski did. Fun to read. Would be nice if staff members would do some interviews about ecl-teams expectations for ECL5, roster changes and in overall how teams are doing. Gotta say also, Rusty Blades has amazing team spirit and its always pleasure to get play with these guys. True hockey team without any divas and whiners. And one of the vittumaisin team to play against

  23. Haven't played many games to make a big assessment, but some things that stood out for me as defender: - Good improvement in the skating, feels smoother imo. I use the L2 button way to much, but the skater doesn't make those double, triple spinnings anymore. -That L1 button (way to op, but so i have a chance to get the puck) - Defensive skill stick looks cool, as you can cover a side in a 1vs2 or 1vs3, not sure if it actually works when the opponent tries to pass through your stick (didn't work yet). - Was mentioned in another post, but the pokecheck works to good. You get every puck and the chance for a tripping is to low. -The overall gamespeed is to slow, so is the deking (or am I just to slow in my head?). -Puck chop is more "realistic", as you can't chop just every puck away that is somewhere on the ice.

  24. I like it! Some sliders of course would need to be adjusted. The L1 right now is ridiculous. And hopefully those between the legs and one handed moves are not gonna be owerpower against the goalies. And the amount of blue screens, jesus. The other thing that could be fixed is the stupid shadow on the jersey preview when starting up a game on EASHL. It just makes everything confusing.

  25. Heh, I got the same model(XL2411z) as a second monitor. Works great (tho probably overkill for chavelski if he's not playing on PC) .
