  1. Hey NHL Gamers, We recently posted our first part from our visit to Seinäjoki to attend the IS Cup. I had the privilege of attending this event with the wonderful @The_Alpha_Furyan. You can read more about the tournament in that article, as this time around it's about the video recap we've put together from that weekend. To make sense of all the material we collected during this intense day (it was a lot), we enlisted the help of professional Viaplay video editor @LastMandalorian who did a fantastic job putting everything together. You can check out the end result below! Hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed being there! Can't wait to be a part of more of these events in the future! As mentioned above, check out our written first part if you missed it previously: Until next time,

  2. NHL Gamers on Xbox One - now is your turn! With great pleasure, NHLGamer is introducing its first ever Xbox One 6 vs. 6 league: ECL on Xbox! During the past few weeks, a dedicated group of Xbox gamers signed up on the website and spread the word of our well-known and challenging ECL series, which has been taking place on PS4 exclusively so far. As a result, 9 teams already committed to kicking off professional NHL gaming on Xbox One as well. But we want more! "About time folks! What is required for participation?" Regional restrictions: Just like ECL on PS4, the Xbox ECL is a European league format, however we do not necessarily exclude other regions. We ask Russian and North American players to first evaluate their previous connection experience against other participating teams in this league before signing up. While we disallow players from North America to host matches / be captain in the dressing room, Russian players are allowed to do so if they connect to European servers. The Xbox ECL is a 6 vs. 6 tournament building upon the EASHL mode in the latest EA SPORTS NHL iteration, NHL 17. Each player needs to sign up with NHLGamer.com and create his personal Player Card. You can find a tutorial video right here in case you experience issues. Teams need to have at least 8 players to sign up. The roster cap is 14 players. Default game days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Registrations are open until 23:59 CEST on May 17th / 00:59 EEST on May 18th. The tournament is set to start on May 22nd. "Will we play a format similar to ECL Divisions on PS4?" Due to the fact that this is the first ever Xbox tournament, we are unfamiliar with teams on the platform, and teams are unfamiliar with NHL Gamer so far. This is why the Xbox ECL will be played as a regular league - just like ECL 1-3 on PS4. As the community grows, the goal is to transition to an official ECL Divisions format on Xbox One as well! "Got it! Where do I sign up my team?" Simply go to this thread, copy the template from the opening post, and create a new post with the template adjusted to your team: That's it! In case some of your questions remained unanswered, please tell us in the comments below. Make sure to connect with all your dedicated Xbox Live friends and invite them and their teams to participate - we can't wait to see you joining the greatest NHL 6 vs. 6 platform and be part of unparalleled on-the-ice action. Let's do this! @gzell60 for NHLGamer.com

  3. Game arranging games would definitely be easier on Discord. And it's a great program for fun talk between players who normally wouldn't interact on a forum. I see that the chat on this site is active. But the Discord chat is way easier to overcome and to get an overview of what's being talked about. Most games nowadays uses Discord, so I think it would be natural for ECL to use it too. Like Depch says, I too, don't think it will fragment the community, but rather give more life to the community. That's just my thoughts about it

  4. Sjukstugan closed the season in Pro division with a indisputable loss in the finals against probably one off the best teams in the world, Carlsberg. We had, as always, half the team changed due to different reasons entering this ECL 4 division based organism. And Oh boy what a thrill it was. Very well done Kenu and Lurkins and all involved. With the masterminds behind The Pigeongate added to Rimpe and Filariou this was certainly a season the play. And since Olof "kuken" Gustafsson was our sweeper in defence maybe we could sweep some teams in the playoffs? But hell no. We finished 2nd in our group with a very tight margin (downwards anyhow). 3points separated teams 2-5. Thanks to all the teams in our group, it was a tough one and Sjukstugan wishes all off you the best off luck next season and a happy summer til then. Our rockstar went to Japan and got drunk as fuck during the groupstage and our offensive Dman went to L.A for couple off weeks but we managed with a little help from our friends. Our opponents were driving porsches and we had to make amends. Kuudos to trollkarlen från Sörse a.k.a Maise, Rimpe maestro and Crono. Then playoff and then playoff ended. And now my break at work has ended so got to go. Thanks all admin and teams, been great!

  5. My personal feeling is that this year's Summer Cup will start somewhere between May and December.

  7. IMO this year the Summer cup should end before NHL 18 Beta is released. Last year we saw that people lost their motivation to play NHL16 after playing the beta,

  8. RD/LW still looking for team for the upcoming ECL season. No previous ECL experience but a very experienced nhl/eashl player. I've been playing eashl for some decent teams and now I'm looking to play competitive again. Fairly recently got into this community so that's why I haven't played ECL before. Strengths are a calm breakout and solid defensive play. Also a decent powerplay playmaker. Hit me up at psn jahajaha93 and try me out. I'll surprise you for a newcomer. Cheers
