  2. There are three league levels; Lite, Pro and Elite. Lite and Pro are free to join. If your team wishes to play in ECL Elite, you have to earn promotion through ECL Pro. ECL Lite is meant for the more casual gamers - to have fun and get a taste of ECL action ECL Pro is the league with the most participants, featuring a wide variety of teams, with some of them getting promoted to ECL Elite at the end of this season. ECL Elite features the 16 best teams of the previous season. The last tournament for NHL 17 is ongoing, but the first tournament for NHL 18 usually starts around October. The registration page will appear on this forum around late Sept/early Oct. Once you have registered, the league administration will come up with a schedule and you will complete the games through the Challenge Club -feature in EASHL and report the stats on this site.

  3. 100% agree with you @gzell60. Running a tournament of the size as big as ECL is not a easy thing. Let alone running it on your leisure time while working full time or studying. What comes to decision making, someone will always feel they got cheated. The staff is doing their best being as fair to everyone as possible. As many of them has stated repeatedly over the course of the tournament: Every decision of every violation etc is being made with extreme consideration. We all need to realize that the staff is not favoring anyone. Some may disagree with me and everyone's entitled to their own opinions, of course. But if I'm wrong and favoritism really does exists among the staff members, isn't it just a good thing decisions are being made by majority vote? The bottom line is, whoever is calling the shots, there will ALWAYS be someone complaining and it's completely fine! However, most of us are grown up people and should know how to act like one. Offending other people is just childish and doesn't lead to anything. There are people who voluntarily arrange this tournament many times a year on yearly basis so that we'd have a place to compete in. Without Kenu & co. the EASHL community would be awful lot smaller than it's is today - and a lot boring... But I agree that user feedback is important and necessary for the growth of the ECL. As long as we keep it decent and remember to respect each other. This was just my humble opinion.

  4. It is honestly very sad to read this kind of stuff (mostly from a very few selected people as well). First of all, if anyone ever backed LA decisions during this tournament it is @OxtreeLAT, even when his very own team was affected by them. Also, I don't see how he blamed me and the other members here by saying his own opinion differs from the team's decision. Opinions - how do they work? As he pointed out already, there are a couple of aspects to this game that will always lead to controversial discussions, because we are not able to cover and resolve them in a way that makes all people happy. I really appreciate that personal attack of yours against everyone involved in the website though, as it finally reveals you're only here to cause damage. It takes more than witty comments to run the project besides all the full-time jobs we carry out. My personal opinion: You would not be able to perform your tasks as a Staff member for more than 2 weeks. Best wishes. I can understand you are not happy with the decision as it affects your team, but I can assure you we don't take decisions like these lightly, because they are the most difficult ones to make. Basically, we need to figure out what precedent each possible decision sets for the future, and which one causes less harm. Tell me: Do you think the comment section would be less energetic if we went the other route? Sometimes I wish people were able to turn down their initial anger and reflect on all the other things that belong to these decisions first, before starting to post personal attacks just because they are not pleased.
