Hello NHLGamers, With the regular season behind us, we now shift our focus on the playoffs. This time around in addition to fighting for the championship, teams will also try to avoid relegation and secure promotions to higher divisions for ECL5. Before announcing the playoff parings for the first round, we need to note that some teams weren't able to play all of their regular season games, forcing us to issue walkover wins/losses. In each respective case the League Administration took into consideration the availability, communication and attempts to reschedule the games from both sides. Here are the final rulings: Unplayed games between "Clowns On Ice" and "Ice Phoenix" - two WO losses for both teams. Unplayed games between "Origins" and "The Lights Out" - two WO wins for Origins. Unplayed games between "Huppati HC" and "Company Of Geeks" - two WO wins for Huppati HC. Unplayed games between "Inter Iceland" and "Thunder Tigers" - two WO wins for Inter Iceland. Unplayed games between "Written In The Stars" and "Aapon Taikasauva" - two WO losses for both teams. After applying all the WO rulings, here's the summary for each division: Playoffs MUKIMIEHET vs. Limitless Synergy vs. Laser HT Unknown vs. Nordic Nightmare Written In The Stars vs. Dynasty Relegation Faceoff Finnish Roosters vs. #4 of Pro playoffs SIKA vs. #3 of Pro playoffs Relegation Rynnäkköviikset Refuse To Lose Playoffs Carlsberg HC vs. Huppati HC Sjukstugan vs. HC Checkmate Rusty Blades vs. Royal Club Unlucky Boys HC vs. Germany's Finest Alliance HT vs. Shameful Knights Silver Sword Griffins vs. Nocturnal Hunters Nordic Stars vs. White Trash Kattiautomaatti vs. ORIGINS Relegation Faceoff Bare Knuckles Hockey vs. Company of Geeks murohoki vs. Thunder Tigers Nemesis vs. The Beagle Boys Showtime vs. The Lights Out Sadly some teams have abandoned the tournament. Due to this there are 16 teams in one group and 14 in the other. In order to make the current playoffs format work, we've decided to merge both Lite groups, sort teams by PPG and automatically advance the two teams with the highest PPG to the second round. Playoffs Hawks Hockey Club and DEAD END KINGS - both automatically advance to the second round. EN HUND vs. Blues HC J P T J vs. A Dream Valhalla Old Farts vs. Pohjoista Voimaa Dynamo Danglers vs. Vemppaosasto GHETTO FIREBIRDS vs. The Youngsters Clowns On Ice vs. Prometheus Lavetten vs. Die TwitchProleten Banterfield Battalion vs. PSHL Roadrunners Teletapit vs. Ice Phoenix HC Ancient Warriors vs. Papat Bone Breakers vs. HC Scorpions HC Palosaari vs. Falun Coal Miners Last Kings vs. EV Duisburg Elämäm Kiekko vs. INF4MOUS Sharpen your skates as the playoffs will start on the 3rd of April and the first round of the playoffs is to be played 03.04 - 09.04., best of seven. Good luck! NHLGamer.com7 points

Yeah probably, but after some reading I dont find any support in the rules for such decision. In fact, section 7 regarding scheduling states "All league games must be finished 7 days after the end of the regular season schedule. This rule might not apply in case an individual solution needs to be found according to the procedure described above. In case there are any unplayed games after this deadline, the administration will investigate the issue and hand out walkover wins for the team that was more active in trying to get the games scheduled and played in time." It says walkover wins. If you interpret that both teams are equally at fault this would render one win each. This interpretation is also established by LA by all the earlier decisions in previous ECL-tournaments. The loss/loss situation is explained under the definitions section. However, such a section should not really contain a new rule...and definitely not one that contradicts a rule under its specific section. Definitions are there to clarify terms used in the rules, not dictate new ones. Anyway I guess it doesnt matter that much, but Im a firm believer in sticking to the set rules and not wing decisions as you see fit. I would really like a comment from LA on why the wrote a contradictory rule under the definitions section and then chose to give that rule precedence over the specific rule quoted above. @gzell60 @Kenu @Ranksu3 points

Yes, I would! (: If you acting like this without power, I can't imagine how it would be WITH power. And if you need that campaign to finally succeed, go for it2 points

So goalies need to avoid certain things because its more likely to get a freeze? Are you serious?2 points

Haha...I wasnt a part of the decision though. We had a policy not to be part of any situations regarding our team. However, I do wonder...theoretically, if I would join LA, that means you quit this tournament and move to Xbox One right? I mean that is what you told Billy...and even when questioned about it you swore thats what you would do! Maybe someone in NN can sponsor a LA campaign for me? PM sent1 point

Nothing ofc, but you cant claim making case of this play being aggressive and then say its for potential misuse, that makes exactly the case that you are making goalies unable to play aggresively because then if someone bumps into you if your goalie freezes it doesnt matter the goal will count. If you suspect its false freeze then you need to make differebt kind of judgement1 point

It has nothing to do with the fact that you as a LA should stand for LA decisions and not blame your fellow LA-colleagues. You can still motivate decisions without excusing yourself. I know, cause I too have been tgma. You can ask @iSvamp if I stood by the rules and decisions or not. So if I understand you correctly...you had no answer and no arguments to my post, except trying to undermine my credibility by bringing up last playoffs (where you are dead wrong...but I won't baited into a lengthy discussion about that, except I told LA weeks before the situation and got the go ahead which was then retracted) and also declaring I have done nothing for the community? I see Kenus quality control when bringing in new LAs hade taken a dive lately I would join...but only if some of you leave.1 point

Bit confused, are this abusing the freeze or you mean in general? Because this judgement will restrict goalies capability to keep his net clear, as there is nothing that restricts skaters similiar way this is very unfair towards goalies. And futhermore saying that if we are not pleased of the judgement we shouldnt voice are opinions but just accept it or join the staff, thats not acceptable tbh1 point

You gotta be kidding me LA with this judgement, goalie got freeze animation because player who didnt have the puck hit him when the play was already done, this must be worst call in the history of ecls. Im so disappointed1 point

So its ok if NL scored against us when ur goalie was frozen ? Wtf didnt even mentioned that in this article. Why should I report these cases where is action against rules if u LA obviously dont care...1 point
