" No, they can only blame themselfes if they get's banned and don't have enough players left in the roster. 1. Don't get banned. 2. Get a big roster so you can play all your games. otherwise - WO's. Good afternoon, NHL Gamers! League Administration finalized it's ruling on 3 cases which happened during the last week. 1)Valta15: Irresponsible behavior Player valta15 decided to leave his old team and join Dynamo Danglers, where he played one game and partially finished a second one(the game was quit midway through by both parties after several connection issues). Afterwards, he wanted to go back to his old team, which is not allowed according to ECL rules: ------------------ 10. Recruitment and transfers "Players are not allowed to transfer to a team they had previously left during a league/tournament." ------------------ In a desperate journey of sending messages to League Administration, he suggested several options to circumvent this rule, which is also prohibited: ------------------ 3. Code of conduct "Members are not allowed to try circumventing the rules." ------------------ On top of that, valta15 now refuses to finish the second game for his team and also announced he was not going to play any more games for Dynamo Danglers. This is considered a breach of the Fair Play rule. Taking all the issues into account, League Administration is going to ban valta15 for the remainder of ECL 4 as well as the first 10 games of ECL 5. Furthermore, valta15 won't be allowed to act as a Captain or Assistant Captain during ECL 5. Because of this, the second game between Dynamo Danglers and Bone Breakers will need to be replayed. 2)Totalii: Personal attack against another NHLGamer member Community member Totalii made a shameless and very personal attack against another NHLGamer member in the forums. This is a violation of the following rule: ------------------ 3. Code of conduct "Registered members are required to treat each other with respect and not divert to overly abusive language. This applies to all league/tournament related conversations conducted on NHLGamer.com" ------------------ League Administration has decided that player Totalii will be banned for the remainder of the ECL 4 regular season (a total of 10 games, including today's games). 3)NYTSAKENEE: Second account It has come to our attention that player NYTSAKENEE(Huppati HC - Pro) is using two accounts, second account Ei_Baas(Teletapit - Lite). This is a clear violation of the ECL rule: ------------------ 1. Member registration "No player may have more than one account on NHLGamer.com." ------------------ After further investigation we learned that the captain of Huppati HC, Samzoni, was fully aware of this situation. League Administration has decided that player NYTSAKENEE/Ei_Baas will be banned for remainder of ECL 4 as well as the first 50% of the ECL 5 games. I forgot something that I feel is a big deal in every ruling. Now with the trade-but-also-FA-recruitment deadline passed, banning players effectively puts teams in a situation where they don't have 8 players anymore to use. It doesn't violate the rulebook per se, but in spirit it kinda does. That is especially true for Huppati team that has 2 players banned. I don't know how many players are on that team but potentially they can only have - players remaining, which is not convenient. But wait, there's more. Now that the team has 6 players only, are these 6 guys immune to any ban or what? So there we have a potentially team-ending rule combo. I guess the point I'm making is that you can't completely restrict recruitment if you're gonna wield the banhammer.1 point

I remember very well the discussion that took place between me Koffe and Basstian when the original xbox rulebook was revised. We had a lengthy discussion about captains roles, responsibilties as well as privileges. At the time being, one of the problems we faced were teams that dissolved after captains abandoned their teams. Therefore we instated the rule of no trades for C and As. I was very persistent that this also meant that captains and assistant captains could not be sacked from the team. Because if you impose a prohibitary rule you also need to balance that with a beneficiary rule, or it will only become a burden. Today the community had not only merged with Playstation but has also grown considerably, and the rulebook has expanded. I feel that the admins of today sometimes forgott to balance the rules. Its easy to forbid this forbid that, but you also need to motivate people to take that responsibility. I think I can speak for the other GM's of Synergy (We are 4 at the moment, sometimes 5) when I say we consider it a burden, and we keep rotating the captaincy. Imo there is no benefit to be a captain. Unless every member of your team leave and you can "sell" your division spot to new teammates.1 point

I am largely indifferent when it comes to code of conduct / language / political correctness enforcement. However I think posting personal pictures of guys, even without an insulting caption, is a big no no because privacy is a thing I value. Still, 10 games is 1/3 of a season, that seems like an amount disproportionate to the offense in my book, especially given that the guy was baited into it (not an excuse ofc but maybe an extenuating circumstance?). I like that people are prevented from taking captaincy roles as a result of some offenses, that's a punishment (or is it a blessing?) that can only positively impact the health of the leagues imo. That said, Egyptologen raised a valid point: what's in it for captains these days? It seems like a very very thankless job right now since they have no say in anything and are burdened with extra punishments, extra work, extra everything that sucks. Can this board of captains I have talked about before be a thing in the near future please?1 point

Relax. No one said Totalli's action was okay. But I think I speak for more than myself when asking where the line is? If I just read your reply here I take it its fine to make fun of opponents with videos. Taunting is usually connected with some type of humour. Its okay even when your motive is to provoke and you even say so out clear?1 point

So, 10 games, I would say thats a little harsh. Atleast when no one from Muki is getting anything. All in all this case is pretty weird because no one asked anything from our side of view. So, i will tell a "little" bit about this case from our side of view. All started when we were on powerplay and their goalie froze when we could have scored to the empty net. Well we went back to center ice and threw the puck over the board as the rules say. And then we get to the center ice faceoff where they should give the puck to us and let us back to the offensive zone to minimize the lost powerplay time what we lost on the play. On the faceoff they tried to win it, but atleast i somehow won the faceoff(thats actually rare). Well when we got the puck from the faceoff they instantly started trapping the blueline and about 1min of our powerplay went out of the toilet(We got to the zone actually pretty fast and they took a penalty almost straight after, but you get the idea). Now we get to the replay part. So couple mins after the goalie freezing situation they scored a goal and they watched all the replays from that goal. From my side of view that´s not that bad just watching the replays, but almost straight after we did something that´s good sportsmanship they do something what´s bad sportmanship(and just to make clear Totalii hates to watch replays :D). So after the game there is a little small talk about the replays and we think thats it. Then 2 days after Muki releases a video just to start drama and mock Totalii. Then Totalii does something that is not on any level acceptable and im not going to say more about that, i think everbody knows what happened there. But would this Totalii´s thing never had happened if they hadn´t posted that video? No. Nevertheless, it´s right that Totalii got a ban from that, but that long of a ban when no one from Muki got anything. ps. I don´t want to defend what Totalii did, cause that was just so stupid. I just wanted to tell everybody what happened from step to step. Good night to everybody1 point

Yes I agree. And I might be totally off here but didnt Muki post a video provoking it? Someone even wrote they welcomed drama...and that is fine? Does it mean I can make fun of my opponents with videos and if they respond they get 10 games? Again, I dont know what happened...but I would like clarification about the code of conduct rule...since I am the one who wrote the goddamn rule in 2012, and it seems it is interpreted differently today.1 point
