So you can wether play with PS5 against PS5 users or with PS4 version against users who also play PS4 version. You need to choose the version you want to play in the PS main menu. There has to be two versions on the screen. One for each console right next to each other after downloading it. X-Factor version "only" means that you preordered to receive both versions (including all the preorder stuff of course).
