  1. Of course if this is good in your case, then you of course use it but most of the people I've talked to has had that both lobby captaincy problem. That is why recommend this. People ofc should use their own brains
  2. Check this! 19.11.2015 http://nhlgamer.com/community/topic/126-ea-poll-about-lag/#comment-623 First off, this ISN'T a fix for everyone and probably won't work for everybody. Secondly this mainly reference on everything that people know at this time. Okay. There is couple of things that may help on home captain and home team lag issues. Always make sure that your lobby leader isn't team captain at class selection screen! So far I've had and seen massive 1-3s input delays on captain if the player was lobby leader too. Try to change lobby leader as someone else than the player who usually has team captaincy too. This is the technical side of this "fix". Try to block with either block URL/IP or Parental control on your ROUTER. I know that there lot of different routers out there and some do have ability to block and others have only parental control. This may or may not help you but this doesn't either do no harm for you. Sidebar: Your NAT type may drop from 1 to 2 if you use bridged mode on router. Mine did, but connections have been good. If you lose connections all together on you system, then probably you did something wrong. Block these: 159.153.95.65 and/or gosprodfeapp0474.ea.com Example from my router: I can't block IP's or URL's, so I use Parental control. I have put both IP and URL on blocked lists of Keywords and Blocked Domains. I also use Time of Day rule that is on everyday and all day. I feel that this has helped little bit though I didn't have lot of problem even before. It did drop my NAT from 1 to 2 but still overall feel is good. Q: How do I do this on my router? A: I don't know, I've learned to use my router (Cisco EPC3828D) by googling and reading user's manual. And just as a reminder This isn't permanent fix and won't probably work on everyone. But this is a gather from lot of forums and there has been lot of positive results. EA is still working on this whole problem but there is no ETA on the fix. I try to update everytime there is something new on the matter or maybe some tips. Otherwise it seems that we just have to be patient. Please spread word on this! @Kenu maybe pin this topic so people can easily find it? edit: And of course if none of these help and like changing NAT from 1 to 2 makes games more laggy et cetera then you should reverse all changes ^^ edit: as @gzell60 said that their best connection comes at home when a specific player is lobby leader and team captain too. People you can use your own brains to figure things out, these are tips from majority. Update from EA forums: UPDATE [11/06] * Dev and QA teams investigated multiple leads but nothing conclusive pointing to the root cause of this issue thus far. * Our senior engineers have also looked at the IP blocking workaround that was circulating the community and it doesn't look like it would specifically fix the captain lag issue. Also, for some users it could block their ability to play altogether. * While we have reached out directly to several members of the community, we are unable to identify a pattern of behaviour to help establish the conditions to reproduce the issue. * We need more info but we will continue to dedicate time and resources to this. The team is in the process of preparing a detailed survey questionnaire (will post link here) to get more focused input and feedback.
  3. We had home games and couple of captain lag issues, both massive 2s and sluggish delays.
  4. I haven't heard anything official yet, only that they are working on it
  5. I'm now playing drop-ins with just parental blocks, on just home team. I'll update this post after every game, or atleast try to Router: Cisco EPC3828, Parent blocked both keywords and domains 159.153.95.65 & gosprodfeapp0474.ea.com. Time of day rule every day and all day Using either Two-way defender or playmaker (my most used classes) Game1 : Excellent (defender) Home team Game2: Good(ish) (forward), player feels sluggish, may have small delay (.2-.5s) (home team C and "host" through going to invitational and just going straight public) Game3 : Very Good/Excellent (forward) player feels good, not sure if excellent, might be little tired myself ^^, Home C through straight search. Had to wait a LONG time in lobby for other players. Game4: Very good (defender), felt lagfree throughout the game. Home team only Few club games: 3 away and 2 home, away games excellent as expected, home game1 was sluggish, home game2 felt very good, no C's on me tonight
  6. Yeah I got the same, my Cisco EPC3828D router only has parental blocking available so trying through there. Also contacted my ISP via email if I have any other chance to block that IP or URL (Don't trust that parental control)
  7. @milesizdead maybe do that backwards for EU players? block NA server to prevent wrong routing to servers? though we might need the URL too because some routers aren't able to block IP's
  8. @Billy44205 and @milesizdead I agree, "bad" server pinged at 60-70ms and "good" IP around 130ms

I'm finnish 28-year-old veteran NHL series player. I've played this game since 98 publication and haven't missed since a version. I found EASHL 2012, before that played little bit BaP and mainly vs. games on the couch I started my career with now dead team Nürnberg IceTigers from where after few turns ended up in german team Uknighted. There I found home for almost full 2 years and still find guys there as my friends For NHL 16 on PS4 I ended up starting a totally new team with couple finnish players called Bullfarm HC. I always aim to be best and that hasn't still changed, so every other team can expect a fighting roster from Bulls Otherwise I'm a long term gamer. I play games on PS4, Wii (Hey guys Zelda's ) and on PC. On PS4 I tend to play sports games, like NHL and Fifa, and single player games. Well Wii is just a machine to play Zelda (almost die-hard fan :D) On PC I like to play a lot of different games, most of the time lately aside NHL has gone on CS:GO I wish every one good and fun year on again new NHL series games, even with it's flaws, but we still keep playing it. 10. I'm available for testing invitational drop-ins
  11. What we've experienced so far is that if home team lobby leader is the home captain too, then the C has major lag issues. Otherwise home C lag has been pretty random and rare for us. And we always go play home if our lobby leader isn't captain in the match. It doesn't always work but most of the time yes. One thing to test too in invitational drop-ins, that the player who starts that private lobby isn't captain of either team. Kinda A's start and invite players to the lobby.
  12. For promotions maybe offer teams eligible for promotion a veto possibility. For example you can veto your first promotion chance if you don't feel confident/comfortable to go to higher division. And every team has 1 veto per division so some people don't misuse it endlessly. Like you play in div3 and end up on 3rd place. You can veto your promosion and play another season in Div3. But after that you don't have veto for Div3. And after relegation you get possibly lost veto back. Team plays div3, 3rd place --> veto --> new season in div3 3rd place -->promotion, next season on div2, second to last and relegation (if not enough vetoes used in div3) --> next season in Div3 + you have another veto to use in Div3 Any thoughts on this?
