    I have tried a couple of online HUT games with the new tuner. I did see a couple of slashing penalties that probably wouldn't had happened pre-tuner. Though, you can still spam it as long as you don't have horrible positioning. Overall, the game is still boring to play (HUT). I had more fun playing HUT in NHL 18.

    Ever since EA added the player classes I have stayed away from the Power Forward like it's the plague. So clunky skating wise. Though, when you have to deal with the fat man-lag on most evenings you tend to shy away from the bigger player classes. No need to feel heavier than what you already do.

    Yup, Svamp is right. The old Consolehockey stats are not 100% correct. It's many years ago, but I remember that one update basically made them useless. Just looking at my personal page I can see some incorrect stats with only a couple of minutes of control checking. My personal opinion is that it's not even worth bringing them over here.

    I cringe every time I read my old GT But back then I didn't give a * that it was a hilarious error my 15 year old self made when I was forced to change my gamertag. PS. I tried the NHL 11 boost pack glitch a few games in OTP only to remove it rather instantly. Later that year most of NOS ran players with only 75 speed because it was a broken attribute. It didn't stop people from accusing us of having 99 speed. The good old days

    L1 spam is mostly a European thing so no surprise here that they are clueless. Expect it to spread like wildfire once '18 drops, though. There is no way people won't catch on it's effectiveness.

    I'm convinced that the survey that was leaked a while ago is 100% legit so I'm looking forward to hearing more about the defensive skill stick on June 21st.

    While Sadapoika is right that NHL shifted from being more popular on Xbox, to now being more popular on the PS, you should take the numbers posted with a grain of salt. As always you see numbers that are taken from VGchartz. A shit website that only estimate sales. Back in 2010-12 EA at least released the official launch numbers for the NHL series, but guess what? The numbers of VGchartz don't even match the official week 1 sales. Can't blame them, though. Why would they take the time to look up officially released sales figures of the obscure and niche games of the NHL series. Still, it's an unreliable website that you shouldn't take serious.

    At this point it doesn't seem like EA is close to finding a solution to the problem so I don't think postponing ECL for this very reason is a good idea. Though, I'm in no rush to start the tournament so waiting an extra week or two with the trade off of getting a better experience on this site is okay to me. I'm honestly indifferent to whichever decision we agree on. If the lag issue persists I would like to take this approach (Basically the same as gzell60 suggested). Games are played in drop in because you can choose your captain there. The first two minutes are a free for all where you try your connection. If neither of the teams quit you dump the puck over the glass in the neutral zone so the faceoff will take place at central ice again. This way we will avoid all the unnecessary drama/bullshit that may arise if one team scores in the first minute because the other team was lagging too much.
