As we all know hockey fans usually don't have the best taste in music. So this was actually a pleasant surprise. Not the best soundtrack in the series by and means (that awards still goes to NHL 08 with Luna Halo, playradioplay etc).

I agree with you, NHL08 was a special one! My favorites at the time were: Enter Shikari, Paramore, Anberlin and Airbourne :)

The Frostbite-hype started years ago. It's always the players, not the devs, who talk about it and seem to wait it like it was the next Santa Claus. At best, you might have read or heard some EA-guy say "we'll look into it", which in PR-language translates to "No".

As noted above by Pschibra, a new engine doesn't guarantee a better game-play. Especially in a title that is recycled yearly it will probably cause a lot of bugs and glitches. Why change the cow when you can still milk the old one?

I believe the main reason why many players would like to see a new engine is that it would offer something different. The game would change without a doubt. After nth year of the same power forward meta many players would just like to have something different, and I can't blame them. The changes could be made without a new engine but it would take deliberate decisions and actions from the dev-team to do so, whereas with a new engine it would merely be a consequence.

To me, the changes and new features look very cosmetic. If that stuff took a year to develop, I wouldn't hold my breath for a new engine within the next decade.

    Meanwhile in Janbos garage ;).

Again, could you write down what you reacted on in my original post that made YOU go after me "personally" by...."dissing" my amount of....up-votes?

    Well sure i can.

Pretty much everything you wrote after "Great job, LA." is a personal attack and extremely patronizing to anyone in here that doesnt share the opinion of the LA's verdict. Totally uncalled for. Also it's beyond me why you have to go and make it your mission and assault anyone that doesnt think like you.
Many of us agree with the LA's thoughts/verdict in this case, myself included. But that doesnt give us the right to behave like douchebags to the ones that doesnt.

I hope this helped share some light in the matter.

I disagree. It rather seems like I should speak up more than I already am, considering the lack of knowledge, reasoning and morality of a lot of posters on here. Comments like yours, Chimeras and the likes of: "Shut up!" and "Be quite and only write stuff that's positive", more sounds like something that would be said in a dictatorship instead of an online forum. LA should be praised to the skies (hehe, sky...) for their judgement on this matter, not get comments like "Let em play CAMA!" or "Worst failure evah, LA is dumb, elite teams should be treated differently".

    Once again, good job LA.

You think you're enlighting us when in reality you're just being a dumbass.

@MartindalexC Please help this guy get better at what he is trying to do. Being like you that is.

Well, I think its a mystery that you scratch Floor and play yourself in the playoffs, but Im not counting your up-votes b/c of it. Perhaps you couldve barked at the wind or slapped your chest some more, who knows....

On topic: its pretty obvious that some people dont understand rules and why you have them. Isnt that a ”tell” that you’re: (1) really really stupid or (2) really really really really stupid?

Dude, no one cares what you have to say.

    Great job, LA.

I'm not surprised that some people are angry and that some tries to friends with everybody by sucking it up to the teams involved - there's so many dumb people on this earth, some are bound to be on this site as well.

    Edit:

Actually, this is a great way of sorting out the people with some brains and the people who're stupid as **** on this site. Jej!

How you've managed to scrape 13 upvotes together throughout your community career is somewhat of a mystery. :S

Yup, Svamp is right. The old Consolehockey stats are not 100% correct. It's many years ago, but I remember that one update basically made them useless. Just looking at my personal page I can see some incorrect stats with only a couple of minutes of control checking.

My personal opinion is that it's not even worth bringing them over here.

But... But..  what about ma trophycase :'(  QQQ Its all i have left :D My memories.

I dont wanna be a Debbie downer or anything, and I know that Floor is a good player etc. (Kenu, relax), BUT:

Since when is Floor considered to be a "hidden gem"? Isn't that like saying: "Newsflash, Tarasenko is good at scoring goals"?

Initially i reacted like you to this article. But then i realised that the new kids on the block simply have no way of knowing that floor was considered the best 6vs6 player in the game back in NHL11. All those old stats/awards/medals dissapeared along with consolehockey unfortunately :/

  9. Thats weird, i thought the "who" part was covered in this article. :/

@pnordetun you need to step your game up, everybody needs to be given the chance to understand the content!

Irony aside, great post. Flou is a beast. He has the smallest ego for his skill level. Contributes a lot but never gets enough praise <3

This is something i can agree with you. And by the way if we would put those 12 "elite" teams in regular season, there would still be few punching bags who would most likely finish the tournament only with few wins.

earlier when i mentioned punching bags i ment teams that suffer one blowout loss after another. i Doubt that will be the case here.

  11. 14 minutes ago, Jnmxxx said:

So instead you want that next season, 2 of elite category teams destroy pro division and 2 pro division teams are punchbags in elite division? I for example dont believe that would be the case since #15-#18 teams skill gap isnt that wide but you seem to think so?

Well since your asking me for my opinion.  I dont believe there are more than 12 truly elite teams. Bottom 4 Elite and Top 4 Pro doesnt have much of a skillgap. Which is why it makes sense having all of those 8 teams involved in promotion/demotion.

It's far from closed division since every team still will have a chance to get promoted to elite division. If they are not good enough to beat #15 and #16 in relegation series then they are not good enough to play in elite division. It's really simple and im actually amazed that somebody will talk about "competitive" divisions and still leaves a chance that actually elite division does not have the top 16 teams in there.

Thats the thing. I dont think there are enough "PRO" teams that can contest "The Elites" in a BO7
