  1. Played the best hockey of my life but unfortunately didn't even get the chance to see how far it could take our team which to be honest makes me little salty.

Going to participate in Summer Cup, but I'll still start searching for the new team already as I also need a club where to play normal EASHL until the next season.

Searching for a starter spot, but willing to listen any offers. Elite/ Pro.

EDIT: Played last season with Reality Check HC (16 games with REC and 2 games with TNG).

  2. Unfortunately Saints are no more and I feel that after my comeback season I'm not ready for another retirement. Had pretty good last season, but I'm confident that I can take my game to the next level as it was back in the days. I'm former ECL champion with NBz, Pro Champion with Evolution and Lite Champion with J P T J.

I'm willing to consider any role. Happy holidays to all!

Some random babbling and utter nonsense.

Still looking for the loved ones - one last time for now. If there isn't a team with low enough standards to take me I guess I will just have to ask @Kenu to create new wood division for me to compete 😥

    Anyways I'm free for tryouts/ games @Beta.

  4. Holla!

Well as some have known, I have been on vacation from NHL for a quite some while and during this period I really felt that I wouldn't buy NHL 19.

Still as I felt I needed something to do now on the summer I decided to sign up for Summer Cup. Really just to chill and see if the game is any fun anymore and if I can catch any objects anymore excluding beach balls. I wouldn't have guessed this before but playing in this tournament actually made me feel that this game can be quite enjoyable even if the game keeps reminding why I hate it so much from the goalie aspect. About catching anything I'm really not sure (opponents might know better I assume) but still I have been getting pretty comfortable on net once again.

So I'm basically searching for a team from preferably Elite/ Pro. I'm ready for some kind of ''try-outs'' during this NHL as I'm still considering purchase of the NHL 19. If I find a nice spot in a RIGHT kind of team who WANTS to recruit me, I will buy NHL 19. Otherwise I'm pretty sure I enjoy my year off and look to maybe hop back later if the game seems fun.

As the community has been changing and the players keep getting younger I feel that I should describe myself just a little; I have been playing EASHL from NHL 12 and during this period I have played for numerous well known teams but I might be most remembered from teams like Nordic Blizzard and The United Knights. What it comes to goalie achievements I have won ECL with NBz and I have also been a loser in a final with TUK but this was on EHL if some still remember those. I have also played as a right winger in a play-off team on EHL so I can play as a forward (I won't promise it looks good) and playing as a skater sometimes in a normal EASHL is really fun when you have been sitting on net for too long.  As a solo player I used to play competitive NHL and was competing in Las Vegas & New York around 5 years ago. I also have fair amount of silverware but unfortunately I was never able to win Finnish Championship and at this point I'm pretty sure I never will.

I'm now 26 years old and as I feel already too old, I have calmed down compared to some years back so I can pretty much get going socially with anyone.  I have microphone and I speak Finnish and fluent English, but I prefer not to use microphone as a goalie since it makes easier to focus and shut down the surrounding world as you focus on pucks. EASHL is a different story of course and when playing as skater.

So if your team is interested on some kind of extremely experienced mascot, here I am! I cannot promise much, but what I can promise is that my hands won't shake in any games where there is really some pressure to be handled.

Holla at me here if grabbed your attention :)

  5. I am currently considering for the first time ever to not buy new NHL. I found out that I have no motivation whatsoever to play NHL 10 hours a day like I used to do back in the good old days. That was one of the reason I didn't play ECL last season (just a few games for a friends team in the lowest division).

I'm not trying to sell myself here too much, some of the people think that I am plain awful and some people think I am - if not good at least decent. I don't care that much to be honest. I personally think I still have lots to offer as a goalie or even to some other roles as I have played for many teams back in the days and I have gained lots of experience.

So yeah. I'm searching for a good team and if someone is interested to sign me, I'm pretty willing to buy NHL 18. If not I think I'll just stay back and watch, dunno.

Anyways be free to message me.

Looking for a team for the next season.

Only interested in teams which participate in ECL Elite and who need that extra improvement to the net.

I have played thousands of games as a goalie, recognizable amount of EHL/ ECL games and usually top of the standings. Got 1 championship and 1 goalie MVP award on this new ECL-format with Nordic Blizzard.

    Contact me here.

Still searching for the right spot.

  7. Looking for a team for the next season (and for the rest of the remaining season).

Only teams that can actually win the whole ECL and who might need that extra improvement on net, so this means I'm looking for a starting goalie position only.

I have thousands of games in net and I've played in many recognizable teams during this period.

    Contact me here.

  8. Nordic Blizzard is looking for a few capable players to play ECL in NHL 17.

    What do we want?

We are looking for a starter capable players who are elite on their playing position. The players we are looking for excel in both ends of the ice and are capable to make championship plays as we try to continue our success in NHL.

Firstly we are looking for LW who has the skill to create plays and who also is very solid finisher when there is opening. Our guy must be team first guy, who helps defense with his positioning and vision as well as he is able to start a fast counterattack when the opportunity arrives. If you are the guy who we are looking for, we can offer you starter spot for ECL.

We are also looking for some D's who are just unpassable on defense but are also able to be offensive minded playmakers on our blueline without compromising defensive duties. Our blueline is pretty thin at the moment, so only the sky is limit here, if you got the talents to grab coveted playing spot.

Even if you are not LW or be free to message me as we are trying to widen up our roster anyway for the next NHL. We don't care if you are righty or leftie, just message me and we can have a little chat.

    What do we offer?

Nordic Blizzard is one of the most reknown teams of the NHL and we have 5 final spots and 3 championships in ECL/EHL. Our team was founded in NHL 13 and we are still going strong. We are championship candidates every season and now we need few new players to make us even stronger. If you have always wanted to play for a team which can actually win championship, we are the team you are looking for. Here you will have every bit of chance to be a successful player.

We are pretty chilled up mature group of guys and you will fit in very well as the all previous players have done.

So no matter the playing position, be free to message me if you are searching championship capable of team for the next season, you will lose nothing.

  9. Well it was pretty much a joke but but..

I've used previously hybrid goalie (besides NHL 12) but in this version I always felt that it's not strong enough, since butterfly goalie tends to feel more agile and faster regarding the reflexes. Butterfly is also the strongest class when it comes to rebounds which tends to be pain in the ass (at least for me). It's just my opinion, but since hybrid is only ''good'' in pretty much every category, butterfly is ''great'' in some categories and pretty weak on some other categories. The point here is that the categories where butterfly is weak are pretty much irrelevant so it's not worth to use hybrid eventhough you will get job done with that class also. For example butterfly lacks vision, which actually is pretty important stat in this game but since I myself play quite aggressively in net, it doesn't matter if my goalie has no vision when I can just push out from the net and close the angle. Some other goalies like to just stand on the goal-line so butterfly might not be for them since without vision deflections and shots behind the screen are pretty hard to save.

Standing goalie has always been weakest in my opinion in pretty much every NHL, but it also depends what is your style as a goalie. Standing goalie has always been so weak against low shots no matter if you are standing in the net or in a butterfly. In the other hand butterfly should be weak against high shots, but when played aggressively enough you can close the angle pretty easily. Standing goalies strengths are just crap, so when choosing between hybrid and butterfly, it all comes to how you play in net. For me butterfly is just outstanding (in my opinion NHL 16 butterfly is the best class ever in NHL games).

But yeah those are only my thoughts and opinions, everyone might not agree with those but since I have something like 5000 games in goal overall I think I might have a small clue :D

As much as i like kenu and lurkins, i have to admit that they have not been able to manage this tournament as they should. First they banned whole circus team by actions of one and now they are letting teams to push tournament longer and bend the rules.

There are 5 staff members making decisions. Please don't blame Kenu and Lurkins everytime :)
