  1. Congrats to EV Duisburg for the the lite championship. And for Cowabunga Hockey from a good season. 👌
  2. Our sophomore season in ECL Elite did not go as planned. We did not reach the playoffs this season, as some might have hoped and some not that much. There is no any individual to blame, as a team we did not win the right games. Our strenght has pretty much always been team defence. This season we we're not at our best on it. In the other hand our offensive production saw an improvement. For example our very own @Lamsa was thirth in goals scored, tied with Written In The Stars forward @Joukki. @Supreex did all that was possible to do on the net. @koojiikoojii was as good 2-way center as always. Kinnune was also as solid as expected abd Epelis did his job at lw. We just did not perform well enough in the right games. Now it is time to move on and set our sights to fall and ECL7. ECL6 is still going on with playoffs just started and we have already made(suprisingly) little adjustment to our team. Here is our updated logo: And first roster move is Wuorio out. He is one of the founding members of Rusty Blades that was formed right after ECL1. So I must thank him for a long and hard work. Afterall majority of our roster were not familiar with 6v6 playing when we started. No drama in the departure of Wuorio. He just felt that he needed some fresh winds to find his NHL motivation again. Good luck for you on your future paths. And yeah we also have made a new signing. Yeah, we! This player have played with me in the past years ago in We Kings. He is good at both sides as a D. He is truly a veteran player and really nice guy too. We welcome you @Janikka to Rusty Blades!
  3. I do believe that NHL's future is in 6v6. If the future is brighter than it is now. Versus was the easy way to build and I do think that there is not much soace to grow for it anymore. It is just not interesting enough. 6vs6 is far more interesting for bigger audience to follow, thats why it has more potential. Time will show how things turns out, thats just my toughts. But thigs seems to be going to the right direction. And good post from you @janbonator. Its a shame I can't stream games, as I do want to. Ping just is already 32-34ms even without streaming.
  4. 1-2. @Supreex, @Hullued 3. @ICappeI 4-5 @Sandr0hh @Zande95 Others worth mentioning: @Danielcadabra @Tauri @chavelski And many more. There is propably some beastmode goalies in lite/pro, just dont know that yet. If you know one, name one. 😊
  5. Remember to follow us on facebook on https://m.facebook.com/RustyBladesEASHL I will try to keep it as active for followers. And also remember that we are streaming our ECL(atleast) games on https://m.twitch.tv/rustybladeseashl Feel free to follow in twitch also. 😊
  6. Ummm, whaaaa? 🤔 First or second goal(the one from faceoff) from us was replayed for some reason. We tought you guys wanted to watch it for what ever reason and did not hit X. Did not even notice you watching replays after scoring. But did notice you guys using start 2 seconds before end of the game with 2 goals lead. And not playing after that. Fair play is important to me. An example can be asked from Aapon Taikasauva from last night.
  7. Is that Wuorio? 😆
  8. Ok, this is getting reaaally old, but here it comes: Keep your heads up. 😎
  9. My pass assist changes to 61 every time I start the NHL. Rarely do I remember to correct it. 😆
  10. It has been nice to read your stuff here in nhlgamer. It is true that you never are or will be able to satisfy everyone with what you write. Trying to do that just creates too many angles and point of views to an article. Good luck with the writing career! And keep the passion alive. 🙃
  11. This. 👍 And not getting upset for bad nights. Everyone has them, even the very best teams. No matter how bad you feel as nothing works out, try to keep yourself calm and cheer up the morale. I have pretty hot temperament, and I do hate losing. Hate it. And im always tired. Three little kids does the trick. 😁 It would be easy to burst out frustration when things just dont go like you want them to. Still, you just keep yourself calm as possible and öet your frustration go and boost the morale of others. I cant always do this, but I try. 😁 Most important is to get a squad that you and others enjoy to play with, even at the bad nights. This is just yada yada yada, but I like this subject. 😉
  12. Thumbs up to the post. Specially the last part of it. It never cost anything for being nice to other people. I always try to be nice and polite to other people. No matter if it in this community, social media or real life. We are all just people here, skills in a simple video games does not determine that. I hope you get it working, as it seems you really are trying your very best. 👍
  13. This. Not saying that there was not other hard ones, but Aapon was on their own level compared to others when they wanted to. It will be interesting to see how they can keep this going on, or if others will get to that level also. Well deserved championship. 👍
  14. That would be simply unfair. We would be too dominating with Kantor like defensive playmaker as a D. 😟
  15. Well I am a gm, soooo... 🤔
  16. I wanna be a fwd too! 😯
  17. Fight for the ECL5 championship is still going on, but the season is over for us and I feel to be ready to dig in a bit to it. Final standings As many might know already, we finished 8th in regular season and forwarded to playoffs against all odds. How did that happen? We had a flying start to the season as we won our first Elite games 2-0 and 1-2. These games against Northern Ascendancy were really even, but we managed to get full points thanks to our solid team defense, goaltending and deadly finishing. After this strong start we faced Northern Stars and Written In The Stars. These games showed us how tough Elite will be. We only managed to get 1 point from these two opponents. Scores was even and did not have big problems, it just turned the way it turned. Aapon Taikasauva was the only regular season opponent that felt really hard to play against. We had difficulties with our scoring at first half of the season. Pucks just didnt seem to go in. Our team defense worked greatly on the other hand, and that saved us a lot of points. It was actually Carlsberg HC games that got us fired up for the rest of the season. Some might remember our games against Carlsberg at ECL4 in Pro division? Carlsberg was marching on in Pro, defeating everything on their path to Pro title. Then this little team Rusty Blades came and took 4 points against them. That felt awesome then. I had a really good feeling about playing against Carlsberg this season. And we did it again, 4 points. This gave a really good drive for our roster. After this it felt like playoffs can be achieved, it will be achieved. So we did end up in 8th place and got our place in playoffs. Opponent was Aapon Taikasauva, the team that was most difficult opponent for us in regular season. Most difficult by a large margin. As a huge underdogs we surprised everyone by winning first two games. Aapot was not ready to play us, as they counted on too much for being so big of an offensive force that they dont have to organize their team defense. After these first two games we saw a whole new Aapon Taikasauva on the ice. They played a really tight defense, used our very own weapons against us. That is the Aapot that are able to hoist the cup, no matter who they play against. But still, I have to admit that it was a bitter one to drop. All in all our first ECL Elite season was a rock solid. And others have noticed it, as I am hearing lots of rumours about Rusty players. Supreex was great at the net as usual. We do defend well, that helps him a lot. Still I do stand behind my words: Supreex is the best goaltender in ECL. Tauri did not play. But believe it or not, he was still a great part of the team. If we ever have to get rid of our mascot Alba, I do know who to call next! Brothers Kinnunen, Kiki and Kinu did well also. Both of them are now tested and approved to be Elite level d-men. Wuorio was as solid as I knew him to be. Good two-way hockey and 14+20 points. Koojii aka Koutsi, important piece of our team solid just like Wuorio. 17+17 points and after a hard first half of the season in faceoffs he managed to get fow% to 45,9. And Dirty Kantor aka "Hidden Gem" and "Who?". He did have a monkey(or was it ape?) on his shoulders at first. Then everything just clicked and he got it really going. 25+23 in 30 games. Thumbs up. Just a little something about the season. Anxious to get the next one started.
  18. You mean something like this @JaikenK? Little more dazzle and bling.
  19. The season and ECL5 is over for us. Aapon Taikasauva found a whole new gear after first two games and our 0-2 lead. We lost the series 4-2. But the season was strong from us. Only a few believed that we have what it takes to get to playoffs. Dissapointment is the feeling I have right now. But that is just because our season ended yesterday. But we have a good team and im not talking about gaming skills right now. I am surrounded with great guys on the ice and it is fun to play with them. Looking forward for the next season already. 😊
  20. I have had everything else disconnected since Nhl11 or something like that. Noticed back then that even spotify or steam meant instantly bad connection. Even if spotify didnt play anything, it was enough that it was open. Not sure if these does any damage to connection these days, but netflix etc. propably will have the same effect.
  21. Pitääkö mun ottaa sut siipieni alle? Olis kerrankin sitä skillhokii, vaikkakin 1-2 päivää vain. 🤔 Edit. Älkää huoliko, eiköhän elämän kiireet lykkää risteilyt myöhempiin vuosiin. 😁
