@OxtreeLAT Once you are here to answer my questions can I ask something more?  Why are we even voting on this? Is there more teams to come than Fat Cats? You have had the opportunity to take Team straight in all the time. This vote is just getting mandate from Pro and Elite teams to piss off rest of us.

Yes, Fats Cats isn't the only team with intentions of starting in Pro. That said, the number of teams with those intentions is somewhat irrelevant.

Last ECL was the first time we used the division system. That coupled with other unique circumstances forced us to manually seed a portion of the signups. The upcoming ECL will be our second season with this format and now we have another way that we can approach this. We basically want to revisit the current format, evaluate everything and see if we can maybe improve the current system.

As @Kenu mentioned in his initial post - this poll will give us valuable information, but it's not gonna be the deciding factor in the final outcome. We want to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions regarding the current system. That's why also you won't see any staff members engaging in actual conversations discussing pros and cons of each option - we don't want to influence anyone. The point of this is to see where everyone stands regarding these signups.

Nice to hear from you guys and thanks for clarification. However this does not remove the question of can team be inactive/on pause when players play in other teams? If team is just name not players if makes interesting possibilities. It feels like you didn't think that there is such a possibility of digging an old name into use.

Well it was already answered in my previous post. In the current system there is no such thing as "inactive/on pause" status. Simply put - there's no way for a team to reserve or hold onto a spot if they decide to skip a season (e.g., Fat Cats have lost their Elite spot).

There's no way to "dig an old name into use". Team captains own the rights to both - the name and the respective spot in the current divisions format.

That said, if someone wants to use a name of a past team that is currently inactive, they would have to approach LA and present their case. Furthermore - this wouldn't transfer any past achievements/progress. In addition it would most likely have to be a team that has been inactive for multiple seasons.

    I did a little research

These things have been already considered in the past. Now we are just trying to ignore them with vote.

    - Fat Cats lost their inactive status because their players played in other teams in ECL 4. Fat Cats -franchise is now in division 3 (Lite) according to these rules.

    - Is average Pro team forming new team "very special circumstace"?

It's not worth to write up what does not intend to keep.

Slight correction - said article is the very first public concept of the ECL divisions. Many of its rules are outdated and are inaccurate. For example - the two points you brought up have been completely scratched.

Here's a more up-to-date article regarding the current format (still not 100% accurate as we've made some changes over the time):

My gaming monitor is BenQ 24" ZOWIE XL2411 144hz. Great choice if you also play FPS games with your PC. Proper chair+office table+PC+PS4+Gaming Monitor = Perfection. You will have a decent distance to the monitor and no more lying in too soft sofa with sweaty ass and sore back.

Heh, I got the same model(XL2411z) as a second monitor. Works great (tho probably overkill for chavelski if he's not playing on PC) .

Also you should take note of the refresh rate. The Acer Predator has 144hz which is good for competitive games such as CS and shit where you will often have more than 200 fps, you will however get zero benefit from it if you just use the screen for PS4 gaming since the fps never goes higher than 60. So I'd save the money and go for a low input lag 4k 60hz screen.

Pretty much this. Most of the offerings in Acer's Predator line will feature higher refresh rate (monitors in general labeled as "gaming" will have improved refresh rate).

As Connor said, if you don't game on PC, get a basic 4k@60. Panel? IPS - better color reproduction, viewing angles, generally slower response time; TN - quicker response time, worse viewing angles and somewhat washed out colors. For a 60hz panel anything around 5ms will be good enough due to the refresh rate bottleneck.

Another thing to consider - the actual input lag (something that shouldn't be confused with response time). Might be rather tricky to find out the info as most manufactures don't advertise it and there are different ways of measuring it. That said, here's a link to a database to get you started: https://displaylag.com/display-database/

  9. Looking to get back into the swing of things and making a comeback as a G.

In short - experienced goalie looking to join a Pro/Elite team for the beta and the next ECL season. Available most evenings and willing to play almost every single game. As such only interested in a starter role.

    Best Save % in ECL 2 - [89.74% in 10/10 games]
Best GAA in ECL 2 - [0.80 GAA in 10/10 games]
Most shutouts in ECL 2 - [6 shutouts in 10 games]
Most wins as a goalie in ECL 2 and SC 1.

I can play multiple positions, tho I would prefer to stick with one and avoid constantly hopping around. Experienced, active most evenings.

    Bump.

Thats nice but cant you just do that with an Xbox Elite controller? Plus you can swap sticks. The biggest turnoff for me and why I wouldnt consider Nacon is because you have a convex right stick (fps-style). Scuf dont have software customization but you can adjust trigger tension, trigger stops and swap sticks. Plus that military grip is awesome. In hindsight I think Scuf is overpriced though and build quality is so so.

Biggest reason for me to chose BB is the ability to use any sticks I want (Ive chosen Xbox Elite sticks so I can just swap on the fly) plus their smart trigger system with 1mm Click and 100 % response seems at least in theory to be an advantage for passing in poking in NHL.

Anyway I guess its up to preference. If it sugits you it suits you :)

Sadly it's not possible with Elite as there's no first-party support. I guess you could in theory use ChronusMax,  XIM4 or another third-party solution, but I'd rather avoid the added latency from the emulation. Plus, I personally don't like Elite because of the durability issues - it shares the majority of its internals with the stock controller (same with Scuf and their shaky record with durability). Sure, quality shell is nice, but using the same analog modules and other internal components is a letdown.

Yes, to each his own. I actually love convex style sticks. It's the same with some of the other features. Controllers are very much down to personal preference.

Hmm interesting. Have not tried Nacon but how does it differ from scuf in terms of features and functionality?

Well there's gimmicky stuff like the ability to adjust the weight of the controller (I found it rather pointless).

What really makes it shine is the included software - you're able to change the sensitivity of the triggers, analogs (even use sensitivity curves), remap all the buttons and create macros. The list goes on and on.

Also you can switch on the fly between 4 fully customized profiles, no need to change the whole setup every time you decide to play something different. Plus, they actively update the firmware and continue adding new options.

Personally the biggest thing for me is the Xbox style offset analog sticks - I've always preferred it over the PS symmetrical approach. It just feels more natural to me.
