  1. Well last tournament was played with no abilities. EA chose to make too many abilities broken one way or another. What can we do. I don’t know if you read my whole post but I think my arguments for each one were decent.
  2. Wouldn’t banning Wheels encourage players to use the right stick more, not less?
  3. Yes. You wrote it earlier in this same topic already. I think people understood it.
  4. The abilities don’t have anything to do with player’s height or weight in this version.
  5. The following are the abities that should be banned, in my opinion: - Truculence (and Hipster). Both have the possibility of constantly knocking off opposing player’s sticks. That leads to more rng and less skill. Hitting is already strong enough. - Wheels (and Elite Edges, No Contest). There’s enough (skating) speed in the game already. These abilities take away from the passing aspect of the game and ephasize a single player carrying the puck too much. And these abilities (at least Wheels) - if not banned - also are a must-have, because you need to match up with the meta. To me, if any ability is so op that it’s basically a must-have to keep up, then it should be banned. Makes the game a lot more interesting imo if we see people using different kind of builds. Having Wheels available does the opposite: it just makes everyone pick between the two remaining abilities instead of picking three. - Big tipper. Ephasizes rng, and less skill. I know getting tip shots is a skill in itself. But this ability still puts too much focus on luck. - Ankle Breaker. Going to need more updates on this. But IF it activates the ”panic reactions” (like it says on the description) on defending human players it should be banned. It’s the same kind of mechanic than the flying sticks with Truculence: it doesn’t promote actually being good at the game. - Unstoppable and Big Rig (and maybe Warrior). If we ban Truculence then these abilities should be banned as well. And like with banning Wheels, banning these abilites promotes passing and team play instead of just carrying/holding on the puck. In addition to restricting hits Big Rig is really broken as it makes you immune to poke checks while carrying the puck with the hustle protect or L2 protect. ————— It might seem like a long list of bans compared to the past. But I think the big difference this year is that you can unlock any ability with any kind of build. Where as in the past for example if you wanted Unstoppable Force you had to sacrifice your speed among other things to meet the requirements for that. edit: Also I didn’t comment on goalie abilities at all as I haven’t done any research on them. But I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some that should be banned there as well.
  6. I think if we want to talk what’s realistic and what’s not we need to also acknowledge the fact that there’s only a handful players in the NHL that can shoot a 1T even close to the likes you get with the gold xf in this game. Not commenting on anything else. For me it really doesn’t matter if all, some or no xfs are banned. Just wanted to throw that in there.
  7. Not commenting on anything else as I pretty much agree. But truc’s hitting assistance bonus was removed in a patch in November (https://www.ea.com/games/nhl/nhl-24/news/november-9th-patch-notes?isLocalized=true). Dunno if it’s been reverted after that.
  8. Big tipper needs to be banned - especially after the patch changed bumps in front leading to interference calls again. I’m fine with banning truculence - but you need to make sure uf is banned as well then. Especially now that you can make smaller pwfs.
  9. Now another game on Helsinki server after a reboot. Packet loss still.
  10. Thanks.
  11. Playing right now. With packet loss…
  12. I’ve played roughly half of my games on the North (Stockholm) server and no packet loss occuring there. Only on the North East server. But only three nights worth of data so far for me, obviously. And yeah, the restart loop probably would take too much time. Nt otherwise.
  13. Big thanks to @Janikka for creating this thread. For me the packet loss started this monday (after I was forced to switch my old Telia to this current DNA). Since then I’ve had packet loss on Helsinki-server every night. I agree with @FlyerKungen that there should be some sort of rule in place to make sure there are no North East server games with DNA users - until the issue is fixed. And I’m not saying that because I represent a team that by default uses North server, I’d very much prefer the North East server if it was working. I’m sure all the top ECL players are competitive enough in a sense that they don’t want to play games against players who will have packet loss in that game. But maybe we can still do another poll just to see if most people would agree with this. ps. What is the logic currently in determining the server for the normal public club 6s games? Just the team location on team settings and a coin flip after that if the preferred locations are different? Or?
