There are some teams that are have been around for a long time and seen multiple generations of console hockey. Sometimes more, sometimes less actively, but the time will always come for one to rise again. Established in 2012, this is one of those teams. HC Palosaari is making a comeback. And is looking for a couple of pieces to make the puzzle complete. At least one forward, but open for all positions. HCP will participate in the ECL and possibly other tournaments too. We will be playing a tight roster without a lot of turnover between games, so plenty of playing time is guaranteed. The core is also somewhat flexible in a few positions, so I will not limit the search for a single position. Fitting the playstyle and the group is most important. We are Finnish and not really young anymore. If you fit those descriptions all the better, but again, the right fit is most important. Message me here or in PSN: stimperi for scheduling tryouts

I will be hitting free agency, and while I am eyeing for current options I would also be open for a tryout. What level, who knows before trying. I have a long experience, mostly as a left winger. I would like to think I am a pretty effective offensive player. I also enjoy playing LD where my skills are best at puck moving and fast execution on breakouts, with a solid eye for offence from the blueline. I would love to play defense too in a good group. Just stop with this ”prize” nonsense. After taxes you are paying maybe 20% back to the teams as ”prizes”, unless you have external debtors which of course go first in line. False hope for ”prizes” only gets it worse. The first law of holes states, that if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

Yeah, I dont think covering this with more license fees can work. For the vast majority, it was something to swallow in the first place that the average mid-tier gamer pays licences that mostly fund the elite teams prizes. Didnt that reduce players already when you started to hike up the license fees? But I do hope that the league can come out of this, and re-establish itself as a gaming platform first and foremost. People are willing to pay a fair fee for operating what the website offers (stats and standings first and foremost) and people like the competition and established team base. That is what this site does well.

I think this thread speaks for itself quite clearly - it is subjective to players as to which perks are ”op” and which are not. Therefore I think the logical conclusion is to either ban all abilities, which I think worked well last year when it was tried, or not ban anything. All middle ground is more or less dependent on who is asked, or who can make their voice the loudest.

KARMADILLOS are still looking for a couple of players, primarily for RW and LD positions. Tryouts and games are running almost daily now. We will try to participate in FCL to build team chemistry before the next ECL season. We have LITE license from our achievements in Core last season, so thats taken care of financially already.

KARMADILLOS (Core/Lite qualifier) is facing some big changes with multiple retirements and we are basically left with the team core of myself, JanEerikBanan and goalies. We had a good season and reached the quarterfinals in Core in the ECL Winter 25. We would like to build on that but need some serious personnel in order to do so. Playing time is guaranteed. We are somewhat flexible on our positions too if the right players come on board, but for starters we have C and LW position filled along with G. We speak Finnish, English and 1/2 Norwegian. HC PALOSAARI , the legendary team dating back to PS3 times, is making a comeback. And it is a big one! We have some major signings today: @hepo_pukki and @JanEerikBanan have signed player contracts and bring lots of skill and experience for our upcoming Core division conquest. @assgoal_master will be guarding the net once he can figure out a player name without getting banned. Also returning players include @stimperi, @Mosoo62, @reubani and @Oddlove007.

Player licences are appropriate as is. It is an equal and a good way to pay expenses for LA. If there was transparency on cost structures etc, even a bit higher player license fees would be tolerable. I am sure most of us agree that there are expenses that need to be covered. But for lower divisions especially, the team fees compared to prize pools on those divisions look really out of place. Its not a good look, recreational players paying for "division entry fees", that go for the most part on other expenses than their divisions prizes. Thats my two cents.
