  1. Hello everyone, for a couple of weeks now I get a Gateway time-out when I want to open the All Time Stats page. Is it just me?
  2. I tried my best anyways. First time it said "Syntax error", the second time around for the ECL Core in it current state with 89 teams and 700 players (forwards only) that's 23.000 Euros in entry fees. Prize pool is 2.620 Euro. Equals 20.380 Euro profit.
  3. Don't worry. We Core-Players don't know how to use a Playstation-Controller let alone a calculator.
  4. I agree with the individual license but not for that price. Further I see a huge shift happening towards ECL Neo. An additional fee of approx 30 euros minimum (license + part of team) is a very steep increase just to play one version of NHL. And that's for Core only. Add 10 to 15 PER LEAGUE upwards. I hate to play that card, but in this economy, that might alienize a lot of our player base and the fundamentals we worked for four so many years. This league was for everyone regardless of your background, age, income and so on. Now I see a real danger of driving a stake thorough the communities heart.

  7. Hello NHLGamer-Community, I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Thesis in Journalism and Public Relations at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The topic I chose is Gaming Journalism and its challenges going from print to online, generally speaking. The goal of my thesis is to analyse established print publications as well as their online counterparts, may they be written, filmed or voiced in e.g. podcasts. Based on these analysis and expert interviews I will evaluate the problems Gaming Journalism faces and define recommendations how the industry can adapt to an evolving market. That’s where I need your guy’s help. Although it’s a german thesis and my focus lies on the german market, I have come to a point where it would be interesting to see if my findings correspond with the european market, as well. I am therefore looking to interview people who work or have worked in the field of gaming journalism, run or have run a podcast or similar media in the past, consider themselves avid users of gaming journalistic publications and so forth. I really hope you guys can help me out with this because, frankly and surprisingly, acquiring german experts is hard enough to begin. If you’d like to have more information, or you are interested right from the get-go let me know! Kind regards Mark

  8. As someone whose sibling had to fight through the same illness as he did it's devastating to see how unlucky him and his family was. My sister fortunately had a successful surgery to remove her tumor and to this day I'm scared thinking about what could have happened back then. It's a terrible situation to be in as a family member - even harder to fight the fight yourself. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and teammates. Rest in Peace, Daniel. #retire17
  9. @Kenu LOL at muting the mic for the commentary. So I guess you still owe us one! I still hope @esdor enjoyed it.
  10. Technically correct. Let's say, he's an honorable mention in the comments
  11. We all hope your words are sincere! Nobody wants another player to be banned. I think most people here don't get "fun" out of your banning as much as they make fun of how poorly you have reacted to it. I don't want to sound like a teacher or parent ^^ ... but learn from your mistakes. If you mess up, don't blame others for your failiures. If you get caught take responsibilities or better just don't mess up!
  12. Sometimes comedy just writes itself
  13. First of all let me say I just fell in love with Kenneth! #nohomo #maybeveryhomo Secondly, yes it was your first infraction ON THIS SITE. You've been knowing to using a second account in at least one other league. Although I think that should not play into your punishment here, it shows a pattern that must be adressed. You also claim you are the knight in shining armour trying to save Inter after you yourself have been the driving force behind "Untouchable" which alsmot single handedly destroyed Inter and endangers several other teams. That's like sh*tting on the carpet, blaming the dog and then complaining you are the one who has to clean everybody's mess. Best. Quote. Ever. You disqualified your argument with this sentence. You should have contacted the League Administration BEFORE you try to pull some shady crap, not after you get caught in the act. Lastly: "We didn't hurt anybody!" Tell that to the teams fighting for the Playoff spots who don't break the rules ... I got to respect you a lot more during these last few months, Alex. You are dedicated and enjoy NHL Gaming as much as we all do (maybe even more) - but you should have known better. Stick to the rules. I would also like to play G for an Elite Team, but I don't because I can't play for 2 teams. Those are the rules.
  14. You guys are doing a great job running the league. It's really an enjoyable mix between casual gaming in the Lite and high level gaming in the Elite. Keeping a balance between those two extremes can't be easy. I am looking forward to the next summer-cup-style tournament with mixed teams, so that I can compete against Elite-Level players without abondoning my team! Keep up the good work. Greetings, Mark
