Hey guys, with the draft upcoming on saturday I thought it could be fun to get the community buzzing a bit about how the 1st round will look - like in the real NHL where the experts do mock drafts. Now, seeing as I am no expert and that this draft will be 8 rounds and not everyone knows everyone it will probably be easier to just do the 1st round, meaning the first 14 picks. Obviously the mock drafts will look quite different depending on who is making them but I'm sure some names will feature on a lot of peoples lists. Without further ado, here is my Mock 1st round of the NHLGamer Summer Cup Fantasy Draft; (general thought behind most of these picks was that people will most likely look out for players having played for "top teams" and also for goalies - just my thinking though!) 1. Dominointi (Forward) 2. Joukki13 (Forward) 3. OxTreeLAT (Goalie) 4. imosi1 (Forward) 5. poliskontroll (Goalie) 6. bjono (Forward) 7. Egyptologen (Defenseman) 8. FinKonna (Goalie) 9. Hanssoni (Forward) 10. plee999 (Forward) 11. tbantti (Forward) 12. SadaPoika (Forward) 13. Pelle3000 (Forward) 14. Chafak (Forward) Let's see some of your mock drafts!

PSN: The_Alpha_Furyan About me: From Sweden. Highly fluent in swedish (obviously) and english. Available to play whenever needed. Probably the most offensive-minded defenseman you'll ever meet playing this game. Been playing EASHL on Xbox360 since its inception on NHL 09. Back on Xbox360 I was Pigeonfield, so chances are I've played with or against many of you before. Finished top-10 overall in all EASHL scoring (for D-men) on Xbox360 on NHL 09, 10, 11 and 12. Also played in a few EHL tournaments on Consolehockey to decent results. Switched to PS4 this year and participated in both ECL tournaments here on NHLGamer where my team, Falun Coal Miners, made the playoffs both times. Have been captain in pretty much every team I've played so far but looking forward to not having to take responsibility for that this time so, NO CAPTAIN for me plz Position in this order: LD, RD (OFD) Regular team: Falun Coal Miners (also played a bit this year with Infinity, Nordic Nightmare, Baltic Sea Eagles and SIKA) Previous teams: Caps Msg Boards Team, Capital Punishments, Club HC, Brotherhood HT

The stats for Season Two don't have the separation between regular season/playoffs on the player pages that Season One has. -

The player pages for the goalies isn't making the same separation between regular season/playoffs stats that you fixed for skaters - for goalies its still adding all games played in a single season (reg season+playoffs) into a single stat column! Everything else looks great -
Agreed. This sounds great.

Looks like customization is back for EASHL, only this time with arenas as well. Thought I saw the EASHL-logo when they showcased one of the arenas... Anyway, looks fun! Will be interesting to see what gameplay updates they come up with.

GF/GP isn't showing up at all on the "Standings" page. Hey, this "complaining" business isn't all that bad - billy and martindale have inspired me -

Just a minor nitpick seeing as the stats seems to be mostly fixed! Right now it says: European Championship League - Season 1 (followed by statline) European Championship League - Season 1 (followed by statline) < --------------- European Championship League - Season 2 (followed by statline) By checking amount of games played etc. it seems obvious that the middle line (with the arrow) is the playoff portion of Season 1. Adding the words "Playoffs" somewhere on that middle line (perhaps before the "Season 1"-part, perhaps after) would go a long way towards making things easier to look at, more understandable and even more professional Keep up the good work! // T_A_F -

Sounds good! Also, the player stats added for the games today are connecting automatically to Season 1 atm, but I'm sure this is connected to the problem you just described -

The pages for standings and stats for ECL season 2 are currently very weird. The groups aren't showing correctly and no player stats are showing at all. -

I like what you're doing with the stats, separating the seasons (seasons 1 vs. 2 etc.) and also regular season/playoffs within the separate seasons. This is a feature that was highly requested, atleast by me. However, it seems to experiencing some bugs at the moment. For example, the regular season/playoff split regarding games and points scored is fine for me and everyone on my team but the plus/minus seems to copy from regular season to playoffs. I mean, we got beat handidly by Nordic Blizzard but I'm pretty sure I wasn't a -30 in the 4 games we played -
Congratulations NB! Also congratulations to the trophy winners - more categories for next year sounds like a great idea! Now lets get going on the next tournament fellas!

Do you have a link to the Versus event-thing?

Good interview, fun to read. Keep up the good work!

I think you've "been heard" more than anyone to register on this site. Your complaints (because yes, they came across as more complaints than valid criticism) about rules etc. at the start of the tournament were numerous, loud and brash. I'd venture as far and say that outside of the admins you probably have one of the highest post counts on this site. Just start acting like an adult and voice your concerns with some class and respect (Billy is a prime example of this, he disagreed but made a well thought out post as to why) instead of just throwing out "fuck this, fuck that and fuck this in particular" and I think you will see your validity skyrocket.

MartindalexC, you really need to chill. You're coming across as the most childish person in here and that's no easy feat seeing some of the posts. Cursing like a teenager throwing a tantrum, whining, insulting the admins, being an overall douchelord - good job. How about just respect the judgement, voice your concerns in a respectful way and move on. Your team will still make the playoffs so it doesn't affect you directly as much as you're making it sound. IMO, the rule concerned in this case is reasonable, clearly worded and should be followed to the letter. Good job admins.

An update on the website status and league format

Maybe just put the Top-8 randomly two-by-two in the four different divisions and then randomize the rest? -
An update on the website status and league format
l-Furyan-l commented on Kenu's blog entry in NHLGamer Development
We can definitely start earlier, we've been ready to go for weeks now and judging by what can be gleaned from the site, it looks great. If we start on the 14th we'll barely have time to get going before a potential christmas break - plus people are usually traveling to visit friends and family so it will make it that much harder to setup games. Kenu, if you feel the site will be ready on the 4th, I see no reason to give us players a full 10 days to coordinate - we can do better then that. I strongely suggest we start around the 8th-10th at the latest to make sure the league is off to a good start before christmas. Just my 2 cents. Also, good work Kenu!!! -
Voted NO because I don't trust EA to fix this at all. It's better to just go with a start date in like 10-14 days so teams and the website will have a clear headsup of what is coming and then just use band-aid fixes to get the games going without lag. If we wait like 2 weeks and EA does nothing and then after that it's another 2 weeks to get everyone ready for the tournament I think we will have teams dropping off at an alarming rate...
