    Sommaro 67 are the ECL ’26: Spring – Core champions after completing a resilient playoff run and defeating top-seeded The Expendables 4–1 in the final series.

    A Complete Championship Run

    Sommaro 67 entered the playoffs as the fourth seed and had to battle through a demanding bracket on their way to the Core title. Their run started with a 4–2 series win against P0TKUKELKKA, followed by another 4–2 victory against PUCK SMOKE in Round 2.

    In the quarterfinals, Sommaro 67 raised their level and defeated Ghost 4–1 to reach the semifinals. There, they were pushed all the way by Pelikirja in a dramatic seven-game series, but Sommaro 67 found a way through with a 4–3 series win to book their place in the final.

    In the championship series, they faced The Expendables, the number one seed, who had reached the final after beating Jormat, Game Over Esports, BIK Karlskoga Esport and vNexs Wisemen. But in the final, Sommaro 67 proved they had the scoring depth, resilience and clutch ability needed to finish the job.

    Sommaro 67 opened the series with back-to-back 7–4 wins, led by huge offensive performances from kasepoika and QUUS4M00Z_. The Expendables responded with a 7–2 win in Game 3, but Sommaro 67 answered with two dramatic overtime victories to close out the series.

    Game 4 became one of the defining moments of the final. Sommaro 67 trailed 3–2 late in the third period, but tunmky66 tied the game with just 11 seconds remaining before scoring again in overtime to secure a 4–3 OT win.

    Game 5 delivered another late comeback. The Expendables led 2–1 deep into the third period, but IsoDalle tied the game at 59:42. In overtime, tunmky66 once again became the hero, scoring the championship-winning goal at 69:46 to seal a 3–2 OT victory and the Core title.

    QUUS4M00Z_ led Sommaro 67 offensively throughout the playoffs with 82 points in 29 games, including 40 goals and 42 assists. kasepoika was right behind with 80 points, while tunmky66 added 70 points and scored several massive goals in the final series.

    From the back end, IsoDalle contributed 36 points, including the late tying goal in Game 5, while Killermuumi1 added 24 points and played an important role in the team’s defensive structure. qaydiel and Jonas_52 also featured during the playoff run.

    In net, Randypp played every playoff game for Sommaro 67, finishing with 20 wins, an 81.9% save percentage, a 2.83 goals-against average and 2 shutouts.

    With two overtime wins in the final series, several clutch late goals and a 20–9 playoff record, Sommaro 67 proved themselves worthy ECL ’26: Spring – Core champions.
