NHLGamers,
The ECL 9 Neo Playoffs are rolling on nicely and we're starting to see which teams are the strongest of the pack and in that way possibly deserving of promotions for next season. It's been a long stretch to this point but there's still some way to go. The quarterfinals will start on Monday the 30th of December 2019 and end on Sunday the 5th of January 2019.
Here is a schedule for the remainder of the ECL 9 Neo playoffs:
- Quarterfinals: 30.12 - 5.1
- Semifinals: 7.1 - 13.1
- Finals: 15.1 - 21.1
For the relevant rules regarding these playoffs, please find extracts from section 5.7 and 10.7.2 of the ECL 9 Rulebook below. Essentially, each series will be a best-of-five and the higher seeded team will play 'at home' first, then alternate back and forth with the lower seeded team.
Lainaa5.7 ECL Neo Playoffs
In ECL Neo, 16 teams will make the playoffs. These 16 teams will be made up of the top 4 from each of the 4 groups. As is the case with the ECL Lite, the teams will be seeded based on finishing position within their group, as well as the tiebreakers mentioned in 11.3.10.7.2 Playoffs
All playoff-style games in Elite, Pro, and Lite will take place as a best-of-7 series, with Neo being-best-of 5. In which the higher seeded team will play at home first. Afterwards, the right to play at home will alternate.
Here are the quarterfinal matchups of the ECL 9 Neo Playoffs:
(1) Kuutamokiekko vs. Team HulluPullo (12)
(2) Seinajoki Noms vs. SUNTRIP (11)
(3) Eliel Kings vs. Olympia (8)
(4) TanssiiTuhtienKansa vs. EIS Force Hockey (7)
As always - Play hard and stay competitive, but first and foremost enjoy yourselves!
