vNexs II is looking for a FORWARD and LD for the starting six for ECL Spring and upcoming tournaments! FW: Center or winger does not matter. We are keeping an open mind to all possible solutions and will test different position mixes during the tryout period to see what works best. LD: Skilled with the puck, strong in two way play. Last season ended abruptly in the first round of the ECL PRO playoffs. It was a season filled with challenges, where the starting lineup was finalized just days before the opening faceoff of the first round. During the season, circumstances forced us to play the final 20 games with three defensemen on the ice, which is neither optimal in the short nor long term. - Now we have every opportunity to reset and establish a starting six early for the upcoming season, and at the moment we have two open spots in the lineup. - vNexs II is the organization’s PRO team. In addition to the PRO team, we also have one team in ECL Elite, one in ECL Lite, and one in ECL Core. We have established a clear foundation for how we want our teams to play, with a consistent structure running from the Elite team down to the Core team. Because of this, we prefer to move players internally between teams on nights when a lineup is not full, rather than bringing in external players. This allows us to maintain the same style of hockey, even if the player moving between teams has a different skill level. - This approach also gives players in the lower divisions the opportunity to play alongside players from higher divisions, allowing everyone to learn from each other. - When a team is missing a player and the option exists, we always look internally first before scanning the market, as we are doing in this case. The gap in the Elite team before this season was filled by players from the PRO team, and so far this has worked out very well. I don’t mind if you ban all the elite ones but at least keep the golden abilities or we will see only the same builds for everyone, only turtle defending, etc. Heard some comments that people have played leagues like ITHL with no abilities and ”the game feels so much better” but the fact is that for example ITHL -> there is like 0.75 teams which can really defend well as a team so in my opinion it’s not giving the best information which is working and which is not. I hope we get some decisions about this as soon as possible!

To continue the conversation from the old thread... Now that the season is almost over for everyone, I would like to start a discussion about the upcoming tournaments and the ability bans. After playing the game more, I have to admit that I’ve started to doubt the “ban them all” approach. Why do I think we need abilities? I feel that the whole game has developed around the abilities, and I have a feeling that it will turn into a lot of turtle defense vs. turtle defense if all the abilities are banned. It could also force players to use builds that they normally wouldn't want to use. I propose banning all the Elite abilities. The currently allowed gold and blue abilities are pretty well-balanced. You could also keep the currently allowed gold abilities only if the community prefers that. Another interesting option would be allowing only one (gold or blue) ability per player. Please share your opinions. Does anyone else have doubts about the “ban them all” approach like I do?

The game is made to be played with x-factors and there are certain animations that only activates with x-factors (like wrist shots), that are in my opinion even more important then the perks themself. Playing without perks feels actually well balanced and you cant win games by only spamming backhand beauties, but I have to be afraid that it will affect too much to the style of play. It can make game even more dependent about fast breaks and broken play situations then it is already. Just waiting in front of your goalie and making it impossible to pass to middle is going to be pretty common playstyle then. Of course good players find a way and skill cap still matters. But does it make playing more boring in long sight? For me I would like to find something in between, like only using golden x-factors. I think they dont affect and boost too much to the players stats but still gives you the animations to shooting or poke checking! In my opinion it would kinda give the best out of both sides of the table. No advantige for only relying on x-factors.
