There has been many that kind of situations where goalie has been positioned bad and there is like half open net and still goalie is able to save those shots when sponge or some other ability activate. Most of those shots should be goals so i think there is need to re-think banning some goalie abilities too

Nah far from it, but goalie is the only position on the ice where u can get away with being bad at the game If a skater makes a mistake and gives shit pass right to opponent u wont get bailed out, as a goalie if u leave half the net open 50% of times sponge or some shit will activate and bail you out, it makes no sense All i want is goalies to be truly good players for once and not depend on ea giving you auto animations 😥 And if we wanna be real that passing glitch was a skill issue on goalies side, if some goalies had some hockey iq and tried to read the shooter if u just stay in butterfly and anticipate it, it would not go in, but instead everyone stood up and was crying about the world being against them as usual

Yeah, so – if they’re going to ban all goalie perks, then they also need to remove the players’ “Super Backhand Shot” and “Thunder Shot” perks. After a one-timer, goalies get this kind of “penalty” that makes them freeze up, which a real goalie would never do – unless you have “Post to Post” to counter it. And “Sponge” might as well be removed too if they’re already taking away the shooting perks. It’s ridiculous that you can fire off a backhand shot from half the ice (okay, I’m exaggerating a bit) – but even from the blue line straight into the top corner? Come on. Honestly, removing all perks would be the only fair solution. I’ve seen plenty of shots where the goalie is out of position and still makes a stretched-out save (which I’m also against), but very few of the well-placed shots – the ones that graze the post – actually go in. That’s probably because there are very few players who can actually aim really well. So yeah, I’m 100% in favor of banning goalie perks, but then the super shot perks have to go as well.

If you are going to listen to the community feedback, then why not ban everything? Most people have said for a whole year that everything should be banned. And if you are not going all the way, why not remove Stick Em Up? Right now every Elite player is running Stick Em Up Elite. When there is no speed boost to get past defenders, and you face the poke aimbot on every player, the game is turning into trench warfare where everyone only plays defense and waves their stick. So why not go all the way and remove everything? Like someone wrote earlier in the thread. X Factors are simply boosts for star players in HUT. And now there is not much left to use at all, so why not just remove everything?

I sometimes play a goalie. I don't care about abilities, you can ban them all.

Hi guys, just want to put my 2 pence in this conversation, I think the current bans that have been set out are good I don’t agree with banning goalie perks the game has enough bullshit against goalies without taking away the only thing that counters some of the bullshit! I personally don’t use dialed in and if goalie was so easy there would be top goalies everywhere and we know that isn’t the case. Quick release is crazy and can counter every single ability the goalie has.. if goalie abilities were broken most games would be low scoring tight games (im not saying they’re not good abilities) but they’re needed especially against stupid shit like beauty backhand the main broken abilities have been banned and the season ahead will be a tester to see what needs tweaking!

Can someone give me at least one good reason why you still allow X-factors at this point, when you’ve already banned eleven (?) of them and restricted builds by position? These days I don’t really care what SG does, I just play, but I’m genuinely wondering. Back in the day, I voted to either ban all of them, ban none or ban only a couple of the most overpowered ones. But this current approach of banning around 75% of them and letting the rest stay just doesn’t make sense. Yes, some of them are more useful than others, but the main idea behind all of these traits is the same: they’re basically stupid superpowers breaking the game mechanics. If you ban traits like hit boost, better balance and ones that generate extra pressure from spamming shots, then why on earth do you allow auto-saucers, speed boosts on pass reception, 2x endurance and whatever else is left? Yes, you can probably answer that by saying the community hasn’t complained enough about those perks being overpowered, but now we’ve reached that point and this is exactly what we knew would happen once you started banning traits one by one. You’re basically leaving breadcrumbs on the table. No hate, it just feels like there’s no logic behind it anymore.

there is just only one way now - ban it all, or dont bother to change something, i already said quick release is overpowered close quarter shit and is so redicilously easy to score on goalie with it - and there is already so many xfactors banned to ban one more or two more doesnt make sense, its just if its so fucking bad, then ban it all.
