I have played the game since the first iteration of EASHL in NHL 09, and I can honestly say the EASHL side of things, gameplay wise, is the best it has been in a long time. I would even go as far as saying it's the best it has been in the PS4/PS5 era. We have finally moved away from the god awful pakota vaan (force) meta, and can score from plays farther out from the net. When someone scores a golden one-tee goal against us, I feel like we have made a mistake in our coverage, as opposed to a forced pass getting through in front of the net, which can go through even if it's "covered". I think teams should be punished for breakdowns in coverage and the game feels rewarding both offensively and defensively that way. Obviously I have dropped down divisions this year, moved to the wing and use golden 1T, so my opinion might be a bit biased, but I've played with and against Elite teams enough in this version as well to confidently say the meta is way better than it used to be. I am 100% in favor of leaving things as they are with only Big Tipper being banned. I fear an XF ban would move the meta back towards forcing, net scrambles and broken plays in front of the net, which is both boring to play and boring to watch. Even with sniper builds on wings. EDIT: Another thing to note is having to cover the 1T/CQ makes the defence more active and opens up space in other areas of the ice, as teams can't just collapse to the slot and play passively on defence.

Agree with Antti here, but still i want so much truculence ban because you can hit really good without it and when you have trucu it broken game really much you doesnt get rewarded if you pass puck forward and want to go help and make it 3-2, 4-3 etc. because you are always collecting your shit like 5min... we get much more sense in gameplay if we ban trucu and tipper not others. maybe if many people want to ban all i can understand if we ban all golden abilitys but not silver, only trucu and tipper in both gold and silver

these results from the vote shows it all. imo this is the best nhl since 2020 if you think only chel so why would change something what is working.

You know what would be fun ? Arrange a poll before every season in every division to decide how to play the season. That way all the teams can vote what to ban in that division for the season. If neo division wants to play with nothing banned but lite wants trucu and tipper banned , it doesnt affect other ddivisions way to play 🤷

Totally agree, lets keep big tipper banned and others like allowed. Tipper is only factor what is really breaking gameplay. Last ECL was good and fun so there shouldn't be any need for changes

The downside of that change would be too big I think. With this games randomness you can’t quarantee yourself to score with even 99 shooting stats, but with 85 speed you are quaranteed to be late from every situation😅 I would’t mind seeing just the golden traits to be banned if it goes to that😊

Well, when playing competitive, everyone wants the best possible chance to win so they end up copying something or everything from top players builds it doesn’t make the game ”broken”. Actually I think we have not seen this much variation in builds in a long time. For example forwards; someone uses trucu and someone stick ’em up and someone might use even beauty backhand, someone uses golden cq and someone uses golden 1t and someone uses golden puck on a string or even stick ’em up if playing with PMD. And these were just the first that came to my mind, there might be even more. Also the players types can vary at the moment, someone has sniper, someone has dangler and someone has PMD or even a two-way forward, because you can get different traits for each player type. This leads to a conclusion that nothing is really that broken at the moment, because if something was broken like trucu or tipper few years back, 95% of the players would be using it with almost no exceptions. If something was broken there would basically be one copy of each positions build which everyone who wanted to compete for a win would use. This being said, banning all traits would actually lead to a lot less variation with no trait to choose from, everyone will keep looking at top players builds and making their owns based on those. And after a while there would be 1-2 identical copies of a build that everyone would use.

Elite players complaining that they cant score without scoring abilities while running defence build with -5 on all shooting stats 😀
