SportsGamers, After a long season in NHL22 we are able to present to you your first GCL 1v1 Champion: Max @Toneee9 Tonitz wins the title in our inaugural German Championship 1v1 league and beats Kevin @Kevinator-373 Würterle in a tight and exciting Final! The Austrian manages to secure his "GCL Hattrick" after winning the 6v6 GCL8 league and cup title with ZSC Esports. Which team did you choose on the way to your Championship? "I choose the Tampa Bay Lightning. Good mixture of star players such as Kucherov and Stamkos, as well as big defenders to bump opponents off the puck like Victor Hedman who is without a doubt the meta in NHL22." What has made you such a dominant player during the season despite not spending much time in the 1v1 mode? "Right after the motto defense wins championships I focused on defense first. Not conceding is always a good fundamental to success. Another important aspect in my game is patience in both ends of the ice but at the same time driving to the net and always looking for that scoring opportunity. In the end I am very happy that these traits which are important in 6v6, also lead to success in 1v1!" Shameful Knights (Core) are looking for starting LD, RD and a backup player (both sided preferably, mostly for defence). Last ECL our journey ended in the game 7 of the 2nd round of ECL Core playoffs, and we are looking to do better now with a new core, our goal is to be promoted to Lite! Our playstyle relies heavily on puck possession and providing close support to the puck carrier in all three zones. As long as you are trying to develop yourself to learn how to play puck possession playstyle, and are not afraid to handle the puck even in tight spaces, you're our guy. I can guarantee you that with us, you will develop into a solid puckmoving defender and you can elevate your game to another level.
