NHLGamers, The first version of the ECL 12 rulebook is out now and can be accessed here. You can also always access it through the league menu. In ECL 12, we will use the rule book from ECL 11 as a foundation. In addition to this, we have tweaked some rules based on feedback from ECL 11 and subsequent tournaments. As always, it is very important for us to be as clear as possible regarding League Administration procedures, as such if you have any difficulties understanding specific rules then feel free to contact us via the support tool! We ask every team to familiarize themselves with and memorize the different sections. Team captains must be aware of the entire ruleset, as it includes lots important guidance that stays relevant throughout the entire league/tournament. Regular players on the other hand should be aware of member registration requirements, etiquette, fair play and game rules. Here's a snapshot of some of the major adjustments/additions compared to ECL 11: Updated rule 2.6, players must keep their player card fully updated (including numbers now) and have unique numbers on their team Updated rule 3.2, ECL Pro teams now have the opportunity to compete with 7 roster players, providing they sign a waiver Updated rule 3.6, adding scaling charges for ECL Core Added rule 3.8, consent for NHLGamer and NHLGamer affiliates to use photos submitted by players Updated rule 5.2, explaining that we will be reviewing how team ownership is structured Updated rule 5.4, added further clarification on the relegation series’ stemming from ECL Elite Updated rule 5.6, tweaking how ECL Lite’s playoffs will take place Added rule 5.7, providing an overview of ECL Core’s playoffs Updated the name of rule 5.9, so as to be consistent with the other qualifiers Added rules 5.10 and 5.11, qualifiers for ECL Pro – Lite and ECL Lite – Core, these qualifiers are still a work in progress and we are in the process of editing them based on your feedback Added rule 5.12, clarifying the difference between qualifier and relegation Added rule 5.13, describing how the roster lock works in conjunction with the qualifier systems Added rule 10.2, further clarifying how teams should approach scheduling Elaboration on rule 11.4, how tiebreaking works when three or more teams are tied Added rule 11.7.1, players must try to make their in-game player bare some resemblance to themselves in real life Added rule 11.7.2, skaters are now allowed to wear non-standard ‘CHEL’ style gloves and / or skates (but not helmets), additionally the top point scorer on an Elite team will now have to wear the golden helmet in ECL games. As such, all ECL Elite players will have to wear a helmet during ECL games. Tweaked rule 11.9, fighting is now banned in all divisions outside of Neo. In the event a fight does occur teams must treat it like a disconnect and follow the procedure surrounding this Added definition 15.17, what counts as a starter Added definition 15.18, what counts as a wildcard team Added appendices 3 and 4 Play hard, play fair and have fun!20 points

"Progressing on to the second stage we have a bit of a reshuffle of sorts, as the four group of five will be combined into two groups of six. It will not be a ‘full’ reshuffle however, as teams will progress with the other two progressing teams from their group. Furthermore, each team’s record and points accumulated from their games against the advancing teams from their group will be carried forward into this stage. Teams will then be tasked with playing against three different opponents." Is this still gonna happen in Stage 2 or not? I think this should have been mentioned a few more times other than once 4 months ago since it's a pretty big part of the qualifiers. (And rules have changed after that)4 points

Free G (because reasons and everything doesn't go as "planned") 🙃 - I'm only interested ECL Lite or higher level. - I take a note 50/50 roles too. - I prefer Finnish teams, but I can speak English so the nationality isn't that much matter. psn: snaasigi3 points

Yes, this is still the case. Teams have been combined as planned Group 1 + Group 2, and Group 3 + Group 4. Instead of having to re-play the two teams from stage 1 that a team is proceeding with and already played, the points from those games have already been populated into the standings (as previously communicated). I agree that communicating things a few times to make sure people are informed is a good idea. We have linked the article several times, but I guess breaking it down would be a good idea. What are you referring to regarding rules having changed? The only difference to the original communication is that with Nordic Stars folding so late into the process, the BO5 series described between the #4 teams in the groups at the end of stage 2 won't need to be played, as we're now able to promote the TOP 4 from both groups.2 points

Reality Check HC is looking for 50/50 G and backup skater (if you can play more than one position it would be good but not necessary.) We are playing next ECL in Lite and our only goal is to win the championship. Prefer Finnish players If you are interested, message jezbaru, Pursuitti or XxProArskaxX2 points

NHLGamers, We're here to officially kick off the ECL 12 regular season with the start of our Neo division, which will be happening as announced on Sunday, the 25th of April. Our Neo division is the entry level of competitive virtual hockey and with that holds a vast amount of undiscovered and unpolished talent, in fact 90 registered teams worth of that. Now due to preserving the original intention of having ECL Neo be the true entry level, we have decided to place a total of 25 teams that originally applied for ECL 12 Neo into the ECL 12 Core division - please see a full list of those teams below: After placing those teams up a level, we end up with a total of 65 teams in the Neo division. These teams have been seeded and divided into six groups, holding 10-11 teams each. The five best teams out of each group will reach the playoffs along with the two best 6th placing teams across the division (based on PPG). All groups and league info can be found on the league page. The default gamedays for ECL 12 Neo will be Sunday & Wednesday at 20:00 CEST and teams are required to contact each other prior to the scheduled date as per ECL rules. The full rulebook will be available for access through the league page and will be released on Sunday, 25th of April. Notable dates for the ECL 12 Neo season: Regular season: 25.4-26.5 Transfer deadline: 13.5. 23:59 CEST Playoffs Round 1: 30.5-2.6 (BO5) Playoffs Round 2: 6.6-9.6 (BO5) Quarterfinals: 13.6-16.6 Semifinals: 20.6-23.6 Finals: 4.7 The remaining ECL 12 divisions will be starting as announced in the ECL 12 Season Information-article back in mid-March. With that, we wish all participating ECL 12 Neo teams good luck and hope to see as much of your action as possible through your own streaming and social media channels. Remember to use the hashtags #NHLGamer, #ECL12 and #NHL21 for other community members to find your posts!1 point

We Fearless Knights are still looking for: Forward Allrounder Defender that can play both sides Starting Goalie. We will not play in the upcoming ECL because our squad is too small. That's why we are fully concentrating on building up our squad. The goal is to build a competitive squad so that we can play in the ECL Lite and GCL. In the GCL we are aiming for GCL 1. We want to run our club professionally, in terms of clean training (how to set up the game (release), defensive behaviour, offensive behaviour, powerplay, boxplay etc.) The characteristic of our game system is that we play rotation hockey. That means no static hockey, where everyone plays his position stubbornly. At the moment we communicate via Whatsapp, but in a later stage we will switch completely to Discord. In the end, each player should have a small task (writing match reports, keeping Facebook up to date etc.). At the moment we train 2-3 times a week (19:30-22:15 Cest) because some of us already have a family or because of working hours. At a later stage, depending on the depth of the squad, we will train 3-4 times a week. If you like our plan or if you have any questions, please contact us and we can have a look at it together or even make an appointment for a tryout.1 point

Hello, NHLGamers! How are yours? Good day to everyone reading this message. I started playing quite recently and I don’t know much yet, but I strive to learn. For a faster mastering of the goalkeeper's playing skill, I am looking for a team in which I could play regularly. I would like to participate in all championships and tournaments. My personal time allows me to do it. I'm ready to show what I can do at the moment in test games. Please guys give me only one chance.
