A few weeks ago @sumskoy26 was displayed in an RCL tweet in which they were wearing a t-shirt that had an extensive amount of racist imagery on it. Prior to being notified of this by NHLGamer members, the image in question had been used in previous RCL broadcasts. Upon being called out for such a t-shirt publicly by other NHLGamer members, @sumskoy26 proceeded to act belligerently, going as far to call one member an “AFA clown”. LA has been in contact with @sumskoy26 in order to ascertain the motives behind the submission of such a photo to the RCL broadcast crew. In this conversation @sumskoy26 claimed that the t-shirt was worn for ‘satire’ purposes / as a joke – despite then conceding that they knew it would be taken more seriously in the ‘Western world’, as opposed to the Russian audience that, for the most part, the RCL broadcasts would be solely reaching. Without prompting, although closely following this conversation, @sumskoy26 apologised on Twitter for the picture in question and their actions, saying that they had regret regarding it. NHLGamer takes a strong stance against racism and discrimination of any form. We want to build a community that values people equally, regardless of their race or creed, and having images like the one in question be circulated puts a great stain on what we are trying to achieve. As such, we have decided to suspend @sumskoy26 from all events and tournaments on the NHLGamer platform for 90 days from the day that this statement was made, therefore the suspension will run from Tuesday, the 23rd of February, to Monday, the 24th of May, 2021. "Harsh" Lol. The dude decided wear a shirt that had a raised white fist with a lightning bolt tattoo with the confederate flag as the background in a picture he gave to the admins for broadcast. If anything, the fact that he only got banned for 1 tournament is pretty ridiculous, but with LA's previous... attempts at dealing with stuff like this im not exactly surprised . But hey, i guess using merch from a band that signs about white power, "bloody revolutions", monkeys and the "demise of the white race" while using shit like crossed grenades as album covers counts as light hearted bants in Russia.9 points

This is an absolute joke and a disgrace to every player on this platform and people (in the real world) who are affected by this kind of discrimination which is shown and presented on his shirt. Especially the way how he reacted on Twitter (calling People criticizing him for that Shirt as "AFA Clown" - which means Antifa Clowns) before the LA took the first steps have shown that he definitely did not wear this shirt as a joke. A 90 Day Ban is in my opinion way to less - especially in a time where no Tournaments (except from GCL and WECL that he doesnt compete in) are played People like him shouldn't be able to compete on this Level and should be banned for a lifetime. Even giving him the possibility to "apologize" and giving such a bad excuse in an "official statement" is too ridiculous. But if this is the ideology and idea of what NHLGamer wants to represent I am really questioning the People who decided in that Case.7 points

Sorry, but this is Not too harsh, its not enough and the reaction to call Guys Clowns that called him out absolutely shows that He shows No regret and that He only called this Satire and a Joke and did "excuse" because He was scared to be banned longer. You don't wear such a Shirt as a Joke and there should be absolutely no place for racism in this Community. Just my two Cents.7 points

Here we go again 😅 So... ... I’m 29 yo Finnish player looking for tryout top lite or pro team. I have played all forward positions but mostly C & RW. Left winger is also okay for me, but I'm playing with left handed stick. I really appreciate a good and easygoing atmosphere. Too serious atmosphere doesn’t suit me at all. Playing can be fun and serious at the same time. My best features are at the attacking zone. Game intelligence and reading the game are my strengths with passing skills. I always try to think of the next moves in advance on the ice. So being a playmaker is my clear strength but I can also score goals. I think I have a lot of unused potential. I can also defend in this game. I can locate myself correctly on the ice and switching places comes naturally (rotation). I also add that fast passing and puck possession fit my playing style very well. I am open to offers and tryouts. You can contact me here or psn jalitmane10. BR, Jalitmane10 / Litti7 points

Hi there fellow community members, We are starting a new club and are currently looking for two starting wingers (LW/RW). The team, as for now, consists of 4 former starting players of the ECL11 Lite winning team: G: @mrantonn LD: @legendenkurtz_ (AG_Jarl) RD: @macipapi C : @kumbik We would preferably aim for a spot in the Pro Qualifiers for ECL12, so it would be of great value if our future wingers have higher level experience. With that being said, we feel it's not the end of the world if we would need to play Lite again, although we just recently qualified for Pro. You can have fun in both! We are 3 swedes and 1 czech atm. A good atmosphere and the ability to communicate is key. Nationality doesn't matter but basic Swedish or English is of course a must. It's a great plus if you're a humble person and use common sense out on the ice. The mentality to use all 5 skaters equally regarding offense/defense, in all zones of the ice, is one ground pillar of our new team. It means that we use the defenders in o-zone just as much as the F's do their job in the D-zone. You need to be a player that has this basic mindset. If you are interested in a tryout, please contact LegendenKurtz_ or MaciPapi here on NHLGamer or in PSN: AG_Jarl Macipapi /🌴🌴7 points

For me it is almost the same. If you are wearing a shirt like that you are spreading this kind of ideology and support their racist goals. You do not wear something like that by accident. Especially comparing that to a Clothing Label like Stone Island is ridiculous. Stone Island was worn by english Football Fans in the 70s and 80s because 1.) it was too expensive for most of the people 2.) you could immediately see other Hooligans who were keen on having Fights and stuff like that (without talking) because of the Patch on the arm. This is something different than wearing a Shirt with racial Slurs and Signs. That's all from me. Good Night.2 points

If you really don't know how I get the Connection between that Shirt and Racism I can easily explain that to you: - Confederate Flag in the Background: It's a typical Sign for Right Wing People because the southern States of the US were against the Abolishment of Slavery. - The Fist It is the White Power Fist which should symbolize that "the white Race" is prior to other People - The Lightning on the Fist It is surely a coincidence that the SS used the same kind of Sign - White Lives Matter Is a typical Slang to counter the BLM Movement. The BLM Movement is about that POC have the same Values as every other Person and should not be discriminated because of their colour of their Skin, Sexuality or whatever. Nobody states that White Lives don't matter. But they were never discriminated because of their Colour of their Skin as POC. - The Shirt of the Band Look it up and take a look at all the racist Songs the Band of which the Shirt is from has released in the Past. So you still don't understand why it's racist2 points

NHLGamers, Another successful ECL Pro season is now behind and what a season it was for the top teams of the division as every one of the top four teams managed to earn the promotion to the Elite division for next season. On behalf of NHLGamer I want to congratulate Enigma, GOONS, Tunnel Vision and ZSC Esports for your success and good luck for next season in the highest division in Europe! It’s clear that the Pro division is heading in the right direction and with help of former Elite players, top teams in the league have found a way to close the gap between the two highest divisions. I like to believe this trend will continue in the future as well, especially now when so many Elite teams were relegated from the highest tier. Enigma was crowned champions after a tight 3-4 series win in the finals against GOONS. Before that we saw great team and individual achievements and to recap it all over we decided to make a little review of the season and award some teams and players for their success in the season. Regular season At the beginning of the season we already had some vision of the favorites and playoff candidates of both groups. Especially Enigma, Tunnel Vision, Frosty Kiekko-Vantaa and Leksands IF were touted to be favorites and tough to beat in their respective groups. Teams such as GOONS, Pata Hellalla and Herlev Eagles were expected to be stronger which turned out to be a correct prediction. The beginning of the season was really hard for two of the biggest favourites of the competition, Enigma and Tunnel Vision both faced several losses in the first rounds and were in light trouble early on. A couple of teams such as Djurgarden Hockey and Inter Iceland started the season really strong while teams like Alliance HT, We Kings and TIKI TALK had some serious troubles from the very beginning of the season and couldn’t really find a way out of the mud at any point. While the regular season was moving toward its end, the competition favorites were able to turn the tides and started beating their opponents night after night. It was also great to see that none of the teams that were promoted from Lite division had any major difficulties playing at the Pro level and especially Sack Brothers managed to overcome their somewhat low expectations and turn that into a playoff spot! Other teams that were able to complete a massive upgrade from last season were Inter Iceland, Djurgarden Hockey, Pata Hellalla, Rookie Mistakes, Herlev Eagles and Company of Geeks and they were all rewarded with a spot in the playoffs. On the other side especially TIKI TALK, Kaupallinen Yhteistyo, RPEAT Esports and Leksands IF had a really disappointing seasons and they need to work some things out to find their way back to glory. GOONS won group 2 and was the best team of the regular season with an impressive 25-4-1 record. Tunnel Vision was first in group 1 with a 20-5-5 record and was seeded as the second team for the playoffs. Inter Iceland and Djurgarden Hockey were able to finish their great regular season in 2nd spot of their groups while future champions Enigma and one of the most improved teams in Herlev Eagles were the 3rd placing teams of their groups. As always in the last rounds of the regular season, the best battles are found near the playoff line where especially Nordic Stars in group 2 were able to secure the playoff spot with only a points differential to Finnish Roosters. In group 1, Sack Brothers did an excellent job taking the last playoff spot just above strong teams such as Leksands IF and Kiekko-Espoo Esports. Best teams of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: GOONS (25-4-1) Tunnel Vision (20-5-5) Inter Iceland (21-7-2) The most positive surprises of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: Inter Iceland (21-7-2) Djurgården Hockey (20-7-3) Herlev Eagles (20-7-3) Biggest disappointments of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: TIKI TALK (8-14-8) We Kings (8-18-4) Alliance HT (6-18-6) Best powerplay of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: Vaxjo Lakers, 46,34 % Rookie Mistakes, 35,59 % Djurgården Hockey 34,21 % Best penalty kill of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: Tunnel Vision 91,3 % HV71, 90,63 % Blackdawgs, 89,36 % Top player stats of the ECL 11 Pro regular season (Attackers): @Kattenj, (33+41=74) in 30 games, Vaxjo Lakers @Stefan_397, (35+36=71) in 30 games, Inter Iceland @vibholm10, (44+26=70) in 30 games, Herlev Eagles Top player stats of the ECL 11 Pro regular season (Defenders): @Supremski, (7+33=40) in 30 games, Leksands IF @JOHTAJAVIRTANEN (10+29=39) in 30 games, Pata Hellalla @Patsberg_ (13+24=37) in 30 games, Rookie Mistakes Best goalkeepers of the ECL 11 Pro regular season: @SanteriAK47, (240 svs, 83.33 save %, 1.6 GAA, 6 SO, 25 W) in 30 games, GOONS @PLA77NER, (280 svs, 80,23 save %, 2.3 GAA, 4 SO, 21 W) in 30 games, Inter Iceland @Vaporik, (196 svs, 82,7 save%, 1,86 GG, 3 SO 14 W) in 22 games, RCTIC Playoffs Personally I love the first round of the playoffs since it’s where the biggest surprises of the season usually happen. This time there weren't many, though. One of the few upsets was when Rookie Mistakes were able to beat Herlev Eagles in round one with the score 2-4 and the great strength that Vaxjo Lakers were able to show against Frosty Kiekko-Vantaa in the series that turned to Lakers favor with dominantly 4-1. RCTIC, who was playing their first season in Pro did an excellent job and won Inter Iceland 2-4. Other than those couple of pairs, there wasn’t much to out of the ordinary business. Teams that were destined for success advanced to the quarterfinals without any major troubles. Quarterfinals turned out to be anything other than tight. The top four teams of the season GOONS, Tunnel Vision, ZSC Esports and Enigma showed no mercy for their opponents and marched to the semifinals with series, 4-0, 4-0, 0-4 and 4-1. Especially ZSC Esports showed their true potential at this point and put forth a great performance against Djurgarden Hockey who were having almost a perfect season until they met the Swiss lions. It was now clear that all of these four teams were going to have a real shot in the Elite relegation series to be promoted to Elite division for the next season. It was the semifinals where GOONS faced their first losses of the playoffs, however it didn’t stop them advancing to the finals after a 4-2 series win against ZSC Esports. Even though GOONS had been perfect for the whole season, ZSC Esports put up a real fight and in the end the win didn’t come easily. In the other pair, Enigma and Tunnel Vision faced each other in a series that were expected to be super tight and there wasn't a clear favorite to win the series. Both teams had excellent quarterfinals series behind them but Enigma showed real character by beating Tunnel Vision with the score 2-4. This was the moment when the odds of Enigma winning the title increased enormously. Many thought GOONS were still unstoppable and they could win the finals in similar manner that they’ve won the previous series, but Enigma came well prepared and focused for the finals. GOONS were perhaps the better team at the beginning of the finals but in the end there was no question about the winners of the cup. Enigma was able to take advantage of their last season's experience and overcome their finals opponents this time. With a great team performance Enigma kept GOONS out of good scoring positions and converted on their chances with a high success rate. The season eventually ended in finals game seven and Enigma are now the champions of ECL 11 Pro. Season awards ECL 11 Pro Champions: Enigma Best left winger of ECL 11 Pro: @pikkuroger, GOONS @Nieppii, Enigma @BensaPoju, Tunnel Vision Best center of ECL 11 Pro: @laitineen64, Enigma @xKeskitalo, GOONS @Original-SnuS, ZSC Esports Best right winger of ECL 11 Pro: @kriketski17, GOONS @sannteri, Enigma @Sokkelo__ , Tunnel Vision Best left defender of ECL 11 Pro: @Makeaxl, Enigma @viba2008, GOONS @tombo_02, Tunnel Vision Best right defender of ECL 11 Pro: @zNico, Enigma @Miika, GOONS @Haldeem, ZSC Esports Best goalkeeper of ECL 11 Pro: @SanteriAK47, GOONS @Pirtsa89, Enigma @MrAllsvenskan, Vaxjo Lakers All-Stars lineup of ECL 11 Pro: @pikkuroger - @laitineen64 - @kriketski17 @Makeaxl - @zNico @SanteriAK47 Rookie of the year in ECL 11 Pro: @pikkuroger , GOONS @viba2008, GOONS @Pirtsa89, Enigma @tombo_02, Tunnel Vision @LordStanley46_, Djurgarden Hockey We want to thank everyone who took a part in ECL 11 Pro. Once again congratulations to the promoted teams and especially champions Enigma. Now it’s time for teams to start preparing for the new season. The bottom teams of Pro will also take part in the new qualification series which should make the competition even tighter and more exciting than ever before. We have already seen some big moves in the transfer market and can’t wait to see more hidden gems and big names doing great things in the next season. Enjoy your off-season, see you on the ice everyone!1 point

I get your point. Not going to defend such music, not a big fan of that. Just take in consideration that in Russia nobody cares much about it really)) guys can listen to it and don’t understand a word from it))))) like heavy metal where they roar instead of singing. Maybe they just like guitar or drums. That’s what I am saying. Long ago half of the city where fkn skinheads just cause it was such time - now you can’t find any around. But everybody hate facism cause we all lost someone at wwII... My point is - you can love StoneIsland wear, but wearing it won’t make you a hooligan0 points

I think it would be right to say smth here. Feel it as a bit harsh decision. In terms of cultural differences i guess he just couldn't explain himself 100% and was misunderstood in some way. Know him as a very good person from all around and i believe years of playing in this community without any bad things happening can be brought in as a prove of that. No matter whom he played with. I guess @Sumskoy26 just gave back an answer in similar matter as he was called names. Not saying that wearing this t-shirt was a good idea, though... Of course as an organization, NHL Gamer must remain balanced and look at all matters from every perspective. So you can't leave it unnoticed. But maybe it could be less brutal, thats all.0 points
