As someone whose sibling had to fight through the same illness as he did it's devastating to see how unlucky him and his family was. My sister fortunately had a successful surgery to remove her tumor and to this day I'm scared thinking about what could have happened back then. It's a terrible situation to be in as a family member - even harder to fight the fight yourself. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and teammates. Rest in Peace, Daniel. #retire17
