  1. i think there is a bit of confusion because some people interpret #1 as non-elite captains can pick two elite players in the first 2 rounds, which is not the case. (by the way it is written in the article, i can see how someone would confuse that.) But it should be worded as such: Captains in the first two rounds get to pick one player from each of the two divisions that they do not play in. So then every team after round 2 should have 1 elite, 1 pro, 1 lite player. my vote is with #1 because why not try something different.

  3. I like suggestion 1. Not sure about the numbers, but there might be plenty of elite players left in round 3 as well. Think this system will improve the dynamic of the tournament greatly. Captains also needs to find the best pro and lite players rather than just picking the biggest names in the first rounds.

  4. We should have more captains who have knowledge of players in this community, mostly elite people i guess. Ive seen that many of those players wont be a captain because of dutys. At the same time they will be watching whole 6h live draft stream and being daily active on the forums. You could handle those dutys without taking extra time from yourself, step in guys, this tourney needs you.

  5. Alternative options? I have one. There are four categories: others(who did no play last ECL), Lite, Pro and Elite. First is drafted others and lite. These should be drafted fast using pre-draft orders from captains. Then one by one picking from pro category, the ones relegated from pro and promoted from lite included. After this it is turn for ECL Elite players and Pro promoted to Elite. Noticed there are some players from Elite for example who are away lot or playing "wrong" position. These players are still in their category based on level. Captains duty to make sure who are playing what pos and how much. This way the whole draft is interesting to follow for majority ofcthe players. No offence on the ones regulary going in last rounds, but in that point everyone is already chatting on whatsapp/discord with their new team mates, not really following draft anymore. And this way there would be evenly "top", "middle" and "lower" level players in every team. But still the captains who know what they are doing will be able to gather a good team easily. And less chance to "Fuck up" things. I dunno, just an alternative idea.

  6. Yeah it's pretty even right now, 19 for 1 and 13 for 2. The rest not commenting dont care, I dunno? Both are fine because well, the SC is not that serious hockey after all. But personally I'd like to see some change after three, same kind of tournaments. Obviously it's not changing the whole format but I really think that the Elite/Pro/Lite system would bring new taste for the SC and make the tournament even more balanced than before, which would be nice. Some (mostly elite) players reached me during the previous Cups (even though I wasn't in the NG Staff) about the bullshit that happens when he gets drafted to the team where the captain is maybe not that aware of the community. Result? They saw their team in the draft -> rip moti. And this is no bullshit, this has happened to lots of guys, and you dont have to be even Elite player to get into this situation. Option #2 is not an end of the world but... it's Summer Cup. Like, it's not hurting anyone to try something new once a year. If there's any and I mean any kind of new ideas, bring em to the table.
