  3. Pointing to the team so head and shoulders above everyone else as proof that the tuner is good is a pretty poor argument, in fact all it shows, if anything, is that Written's players are so good that it doesn't even matter what tuner they're on since they'll still dome your ass anyway.

  4. There's no difference in skating, that's why I was talking about a Frankenstein-y rollback a couple of days ago.
    2 points
  5. The skating is literally the same now (tuner rollback) as it was last week, there's no difference whatsoever. The skating changes occurred through the patches that EA released, aka something the tuners cannot touch. So when you say "now in the latest tuner we have that skating again", I'm sorry but all you are feeling at the end of the day is a placebo.

  8. I like the latest tuner better than the beta one. The beta tuner has more randomness. I hope whatever middle ground they may find with a new tuner, it's going to be closer to the current latest one than the beta.

  9. Team player with a big heart looking for potential new home. Contributor on the ice and in the locker room. Favorite position is RW. Currently represent Team Frosty in Elite but looking at options due to no ice time. This has been discussed with Team Frosty and there is no drama involved. https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=4 PSN ID: KenuFHR

  10. Hi NHLGamers, We are back with a small look into the second week into the Pro division. This season we are doing a player of the week segment, to highlight an individual and his team because of their success during said week. We will also do a small interview with our nominee and try to get to know the person better and get some insights of the team and the league in question. Without further ado we would like to present you our second Player Of The Week: PSN-ID: NikkeDangles Team: The Next Gen Position: Right Wing Games played this week: 6 (vs Style, Bone Breakers and Pata Hellalla) Goals: 8 (18 total, ranked 1st) Assists: 9 (15 total, ranked 5th) Points: 17 (33 total, ranked 1st) +/-: 8 (26 total, ranked 1st) Our writer @Panarinz met with Nikke and after a good conversation this was the result: Another great week for your team, your form has been outstanding as of late. What do you think is the reason for your success this season? - I think we have a great team and it’s very easy to play with them. What is your aim for this season? As a team and you personally. - As a team we are aiming for a deep playoff run and I’m going to do my best to play as well as I can. How did you come up with your PSN ID? - My friends call me Nikke and I like to do dirty dangles so that is why my PSN is NikkeDangles. What is the best player build in this version of the game, in your opinion? - I like to use the two-way forward, because it’s really fast, has decent balance and good deking. What is your strengths as a player? - My strengths as a player are controlling the puck and making surprising, hard-to-read passes. Finally, which team will win ECL 8 Pro? - The Next Gen. Signing off for now, ECL Pro writing team @Panarinz & @Mannheimer1938

  11. Seems like EA randomizes unique tuner for each player😁

  12. The rules with dates were published at the start of the season, so missing the date is really up to the captain. But sure, I agree, this article would have been an even more helpful reminder a couple days earlier.

  15. How is the old tuner NHL 18 though? It has nothing in common with 18. 18 was an awful delayfest in all regards.

  21. The ping is not bullshit, game shows only time for a packet to reach servers, but usually ping is measured as round trip (request and response) which is what tour router says.
    1 point
  22. It's actually not voodoo. Routing makes a big difference - the packets take a longer trip than a straight line distance on a map. Here's a map to illustrate the European internet backbone architecture: The map is old but gives the right idea. Finns will be happy to know that a new cable is being installed in the Baltic Sea between Finland and Germany, i.e. bypassing Sweden and Denmark and giving better performance. Typical customer support.. "make sure you have the power cable plugged in, thank you and have a nice day!". I wouldn't trust the in-game network performance too much either, but it usually gives a decent general idea. If you want a more accurate result, I'd suggest opening up Command Prompt and typing "ping -n 100 159.153.76.33". It will run a series of 100 ping commands to the Dublin server. My results looked like what one would expect from a 3rd world connection that I have to put up with: Minimum = 59ms, Maximum = 102ms, Average = 64ms Hope that helps someone. Now I'll go and cry myself to sleep and dream of 21st century.

  23. i can say u 100% that its not placebo that i feel. maybe u dont feel it in the 6on6 games, but in 1on1 games there is huge difference. i dont know what is the right word in english but the player moves more "kuutiomaisesti" now. so its easier to proteck the buck now when u know how to use the skating proberly.
