Before ECL 8 began, I knew we would see a different Rusty Blades for ECL 8. Long-time members left to spread their wings on other teams, while others left for the army. I knew I had a desire to get Rusty to the level where we can truly compete against the best. Not just be the underdog who is able to steal some "surprise" victories. So we set out to find new players. We found some in The_Alpha_Furyan and pentsaa, but we were still looking for that (or those) difference maker(s) at the forward position. As we tried out different players we looked past just the individual skill of the players, because all of the players who came to play were skilled. It is a big factor sure, but we also wanted the "right" players for the team. Team players who never give up. I think we have now found the last two missing pieces of our puzzle. Rusty Blades are proud to announce @MartindalexC and @Foppatofflan will be joining our roster. With a combined point total of 425 throughout the last four ECL Elite seasons, this duo is the NHLGamer community equivalent of Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen... except instead of a Finn and a Canadian, this pairing hails from Sweden and England. They will be true difference-makers as we aim to make the playoffs for the second time in RB team history. Skip the next 2 paragraphs if you dont want to learn about me....... I really want to try out this league. Been playing since NHL 14 and I would say im borderline pro/elite player (maybe I dont know, havent played a single game of Lite soo). Maybe Im just getting in over my head, or maybe im not. You will have to try me out for yourself. Im 16, extremely mature tho, I got my own car I can play from 6:30pm EST till whenever, except for Tuesdays and Fridays cuz thats when I have to play real hockey ugh. When I do get to join a team, it will force me to get my HW done early so I can play NHL 19 Okay, so: I play C,LW,RW,LD,RD. Goalie sucks. I prefer RW cuz I shoot killer one timers from there. I am also a decent faceoff man. I am currently level 18 of EASHL only cuz, well I havent played much EASHL this year, but IM READY to grind! Raccoon Rampage has again some great news from the wild transfer market, as we are happy to announce the signing of Eetu "kumisaapas22" Määttä! Last three seasons this promising goalie played in Lite division, and now he seems to be more than ready to make the jump into bigger games. Latest season he played for Supremacy, where he lead the team all the way to Lite's top 8 in playoffs, with impressive stats for goalie, 19 GP, 14-3-2, SV% 85,6 and 1,94 GAA. Eetu himself said that he is "feeling pretty good about my new team, contract, and it's always easy to come to a team that welcomes you with open lap". The goal for next season is "playoffs, and winning the pro title". When asked the greatest interview question ever, "what are you wearing now?", he simply replies with "chinos and hoodie". Just the way Raccoons like it! #FeelTheRampage
