ECL 6 Elite So... we ended up surpassing 60 followers on Twitch. Yay! We also lost in the Pro playoffs semifinals to Unlucky Boys by a series score of 2-4. Boo. But we got promoted to Elite anyway. Yay! Now we have to try and survive a full season against the best teams in all of Europe. Shit. Anyway, we're back. FCM that is. Falun Coal Miners that is. We are returning to the ECL for a sixth straight tournament! By our count, with Aapon Taikasauva folding, that makes us one of just 11 teams to have competed in all six ECL tournaments - joining TIKI TALK, Gotham Knights (Refuse To Lose), Silver Sword Griffins, Northern Stars, Sjukstugan, Kattiautomaatti, Synergy Hockey, SIKA, Dynasty, Northern Ascendancy. That is cool! It also suggests we are huge nerds. Which is also cool in a nerdy way. Anyway, here is our roster for ECL 6 (Spoiler alert: we barely made any changes): ------------------------------------------ G onecorner95 G IFKPEKING2k15 LD The_Alpha_Furyan RD minokin- RD/W Meeertz LW PatzyDrake C LastMandalorian C/W pentsaa RW iscojr94 W Berger-I88I ------------------------------------------ Finally, we again have a few "unlikely to reach"-social media goals for this season - namely reaching 150 Likes on Facebook (we currently sit at 129) and 100 subscribers on Twitch (chillin' at 73 currently). If you want to help keep the dream alive for a group of delusional guys with virtual ice hockey dreams, you know what to do. Much love, gents.9 points

Hiya! Old NHL09 team on ze rise again after laying dorment for a few years. Team is being led by two old GMs of MotherPuckers from yesteryear; Lainzndr (that's me) and Alexrusty (RustyTheBeaver) - he's also pretty weird, and former Unknown and NOR-defender BabbFillson (he's pretty cute). Former GM of Bombers Hockey, Dexrion is also an assistant captian. In ECL 6 we'll be playing in Lite division, and the team consists of: Lainzndr, GM, (FW nowdays) - former GM of MoP, creator of Unknown and filled out a few games for NOR after been AWOL for a few years. Joined NNb mid-season and helped em get to Pro div in ECL5. RustyTheBeaver (FW) - former GM of MoP, played a while for Unknown and joined NNb mid-season and helped em get to Pro div in ECL5. Sampa88 (FW) - new to the scene after discovering that EASHL is funnier than HUT. Dexrion81, A, (FW) - former GM of Bombers Hockey that joined MoP as soon as we started up again. ZHiTNiK (FW) - former MoP, WAL, OTP and Bombers-player. IiSvampI (FW) - needs no introduction. Played for a few teams before he created Unknown with me. Lead Unknown as a GM when they became the best team in EASHL history, winning tournament after tournament, Played in NOR since the disbandment of Unknown. Bede97 (FW) - former MoP-player thats been around for a while now. Played for CoG and others teams since then. BabbFillson, A, (D) - played in Unknown during their peak and played the last few seasons for NOR. Mejsel021 (D) - former Showtime-player that's been around since the beginning (09-10) Esskay (D) - former MoP, WAL, DF and Unkown-player that just recently got out of his 'retirement'. Weztblom (D) - former MoP, WAL, DF and Unknown-player that just recently got out of his 'retirement'. Formely known as "Goatlender" he was considered as one of the better goalies the EASHL-scene ever seen. Mekfiri (D) - former Bombers-player that joined MoP as soon as we started up again. Sorkpippi (G) - former Bombers-player that joined MoP as soon as we started up again. Herkie82 (G) - former Bombers-player that joined MoP as soon as we started up again. - In-game the club is named "MotherPuckers TM". - Colorscheme: Blue (main), grey, white and pink. https://www.easports.com/nhl/clubs/ps4/MotherPuckers TM8 points

Update #1 - Feb. 19, 00:15 CET Unfortunately, Nordic Eagles aren't able to participate in ECL 6 anymore. Due to this, League Administration decided to move Kaksikymmentaseitseman from ECL Lite Group 2 to Group 4. Captains were informed via PM. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. _____ Hey NHL Gamers, it's time for the 6th edition of ECL, again by far the most influental 6vs6 experience in at least all over Europe. This time we finally crossed that 100 teams barrier, and end up with a total of 110! That's up 11% from ECL 5's 96 participants. And quite frankly, there does not seem to be any sign of slowing down. ECL Lite and ECL Pro will start playing tomorrow, February 19, while ECL Elite will start on Wednesday, February 21. The schedules will be released shortly on the main page, so keep an eye out for that to see which team you will be facing first! Without further ado, here's everything you need to know. ECL 6 Rules The rules for ECL 6 can be seen here: As plenty of details have changed, we suggest you give them a good read before season start! League Administration All league related decisions will be made by League Administration. To open up a case, create a new question in the "Contact League Administration" helpdesk. Please note: Teams are expected to solve issues on their own before contacting League Administration - the rules include lots of guidance for different issues. League Administration is always the last resort to solve any disagreements. ECL 6 Elite 14 teams confirmed their participation for ECL 5: Carlsberg HC Dynasty Evolution Falun Coal Miners Kattiautomaatti Northern Ascendancy Northern Stars Pata Hellalla Rusty Blades SJK eSports Silver Sword Griffins Sjukstugan Unlucky Boys HC Written In The Stars To fill the two open spots that are caused by the disbandment of both MUKIMIEHET and Aapon Taikasauva, rule 4.3 from the ECL 6 rules gets applied. Four ECL 5 Pro quarter-finalists come into question: THE UNITED KNIGHTS (0 PO wins) Nordic Stars (3 PO wins) Gotham Knights (3 PO wins) Inter Iceland (2 PO wins) Based on these numbers, League Administration offers the remaining two ECL 6 Elite spots to Nordic Stars and Gotham Knights: ECL 6 Pro 23 teams (excluding Nordic Stars and Gotham Knights, which were moved to ECL Elite) confirmed their participation for ECL 6: Alliance HT Almost Famous Baltic Sea Eagles Banterfield Battalion Bellizzi Clowns on Ice EN HUND Free From Rodents Inter Iceland JPTJ Monarchs Murohoki Nordic Nosebleed OG Royals Raging Monkeys Red Machine SIKA Shameful Knights Speedy Bros Hockey Synergy Hockey Sypperstaars TIKI TALK White Trash This means a total of 9 spots had to be filled with ECL Lite sign-ups. As ECL 5 Lite quarter-finalists that also signed up and applied for ECL Pro, Deadly Phantoms HC were prioritized and moved to ECL 6 Pro. For the 8 remaining spots, we were looking at ECL Pro applications from these 16 teams: Arctic Asserklubi Breakers Of The Bone EaLogic FILADELPHIA ICEBREAKERS EAGLES Ice Phoenix Kaukosen Luistin Monte Carlo MotherPuckers Old Farts Penalty Box Pohjoista Voimaa Quality Suomen Sonnit The Beagle Boys According to rule 4.2 in the ECL 6 rules, League Administration not only looked at in-game leaderboards and records, but also considered EASHL history as well as notable achievements, recent games and ECL experience (games played, points, wins etc.). At the end of our evaluation, these 8 teams were considered suitable and are moved to ECL 6 Pro: Arctic Breakers Of The Bone FILADELPHIA Monte Carlo Old Farts Penalty Box Quality The Beagle Boys ECL 6 Pro - Final conferences ECL Pro will be played in 2 conferences with 16 teams each. With 2 games against each opponent, this results in a 30 game regular season in which the top 8 teams out of each group will go to the playoffs (16 teams total). To determine the final groups, all teams were seeded into 4 different pots. From there, the teams were randomized into two conferences: ECL 6 Lite The remaining 62 teams will be participating in ECL 6 Lite. For obvious reasons, I'm saving the entire list at this point and we'll go straight to the conferences. ECL 6 Lite - Final conferences ECL Lite will be played in 6 conferences with 10/11 teams each. With 2 games against each opponent, this results in an 18/20 game regular season in which the top 5 teams out of each conference, as well as the two best 6th ranked teams out of all conferences will go to the playoffs (32 teams total). To determine the final conferences, all teams were randomly assigned to the six conferences: Team management tools All teams have been created, and the captains mentioned in the sign-up posts will shortly be unlocked for the team management tools on the main page (click on your username in the top right corner to access them). All players need to be invited to the team rosters ahead of your first game. Please note that all invited players need to accept the invitation (there will be a popup alert on the main page for them) before they show up on the team roster and can start playing! In case you have any questions, please use the comment section below this news story. Good luck to all teams and have fun! @gzell60 for NHLGamer.com4 points

After pressing the panic button noticing ECL was about to start we decided to start a brand new club, which turned out to be way better than anything that was already available. After a sweaty week trying to prove ourselves we did dodge the Lite Beanie League and are starting our season in Pro this ECL 6. Here's Quality: LW: Yoloberg / / KURKISTELIJA C: KattenJansson97 RW: valta15 LD: Panserhagen12 RD: kriketsi17 / / R37511B G: MZK-TrophyHunter G: zaukki159 Coach: nispekt2 points

GOATLENDER when he was at his top - Best goalie for 2 years in EASHL, even tho he didn't took a single shot. He tried to solve the problem before the final against NOS in NHL 14 with a laser surgery, and it worked. THAT'S dedication. Has also a good-looking sister. Eeskay: Goatlenders best friend, have been with goatlenders sister, loves Per Gessle and HBK. A tinder-legend. A fucked up mix!2 points

Fellow players, ECL 6 is here and Pohjoista Voimaa is participating again! Our roster for regular EASHL has been pretty stable with 19 members, couple players in and couple players out. Turnover is pretty marginal. However, this time we are going in to ECL 6 with smaller roster than in previous tournaments. Our roster for first game is following LW nessron C johtava RW rjounila LD gordiehau RD isoputte G meiha S arnold1nhu S j_keppila S verjnuarmu666 S way420go Good luck everybody!2 points

Hi guys, Hopefully you enjoyed my recent ECL 5 Elite Season Report. If you didn't, thats cool too. I've always approached the topics I've written about here at NHLGamer with a "what would I be interested in reading"-mindset. Usually that lines up pretty well with what y'all are interested in - we do share quite a particular interest in 'EASHL 6v6 gaming' - but sometimes it doesn't and that is just fine. Trying to please everyone is pretty much an impossible task, so in the end you just do your best and hope people enjoy your work. I have been writing for NHLGamer for about 18 months (this was my first feature) which actually doesn't sound like a lot, but to me it feels like it has been quite some time. Now, if you feel like this is starting to sound like an eulogy - that is not my intent. I am not dying nor am I giving up writing for NHLGamer com. What I will say is that you probably won't see any major stories or features like the Elite Season Report on NHLGamer from me for a while... To most of you, a statement like that probably doesn't matter. Again, completely understandable. From the perspective of the average NHLGamer "consumer" - as long as the light stays on and new stories containing the proper information is released, all is good. It makes sense. However, I'd like to think that some of you out there have come to enjoy my particular approach to writing. I know I have certainly appreciated all the feedback I have received from you all during these 18 months - both public and in PM, both positive and negative. So, why am I opening up to tell you all of this? Well, the reason I won't have as much time to dedicate towards writing about virtual hockey is that I am trying my hand at writing about actual hockey. About two months ago, I quit my regular 9 to 5-job to start my own business and try to make it as a hockey writer. To be honest, making that leap scared the living shit out of me and every day since I made the decision has been a solid mixture of "what the hell am I doing" and "this might actually work". We'll have to wait and see which side of that particular coin ends up on top. I got to be honest though, writing "for" you guys here at NHLGamer and listening to all of your feedback is what inspired me to believe I was capable of making this journey and I will always be thankful for that. For that reason, I would really love it if I could have you join me on this thing I am attempting - to have you keep reading the stuff I am writing. Should you find the material interesting of course, that is! In my current situation - every Twitter follow, re-tweet or direct click on a particular story is huge. Every uplifting word or constructive criticism on something I wrote, a valuable lesson! Anyway, enough talking, here's where you'll find me: Twitter [regular updates on any stories I write as they are released]: @TheAlphaFuryan Eliteprospects.com [14 articles so far, here are three of them - in English]: http://www.eliteprospects.com/article.php?id=35 http://www.eliteprospects.com/article.php?id=149 http://www.eliteprospects.com/article.php?id=163 NHL.com/sv [2 articles so far, more to come in the following month - in Swedish] https://www.nhl.com/sv/news/capitals-nodvandiga-forlust/c-294314572 Pro Hockey Magazine [5 WJC stories in December edition, 2 feature length NHL stories in January edition - in Swedish] https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/25550576_10155704240985781_1918622112284507151_n.png?oh=c416d8ef8a50c4dd26e04933cc7bef09&oe=5AC90379 SHL.se/eshl [regular articles and videos about NHL 18, HUT and SHL - in Swedish] http://www.shl.se/eshl If you've made it all the way down this lengthy post, I'd like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read it.
