  1. With just a few weeks remaining until NHL 18 is out, the time has come to present Dynastys roster for ECL 5. Last season had us one goal away from winning it all... This season, its our time. Like any hopeful contender we start in net by giving you our outstanding goaltending duo: Sandr0hh & Lukkolinho Top-5 goalies in the game as far as we are concerned, both of them. These guys have a bit different playstyle but both are extremely effective in stopping the puck and thats what counts in the end. It has always been Dynastys one of the, if not the most difficult task to decide which one of these beasts gets the playtime, especially in playoffs of course. And I guess fortunately for us, we see no reason that is going to change. NHLGamer ECL stats: Sandr0hh: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=338 Lukkolinho: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=257 LATER SKATERS! - jumalpeku och Hampus -

  2. There are spots open in Pro that needs to be filled. To fill these spots some teams need to skip a division. So there is no point discussing is it fair that a team will skip a division, some teams must do this. Does a Lite team deserve that open spot after they have failed to get a promotion to Pro by playing in Lite? In this case they would be skipping a division too. Because they didn't deserve it by playing. I don't think that Lite team would deserve the open Pro spot any more than a new team. That's why every team should be able to make an application for open Pro spots. If you want to make it easier for teams in Lite to get in Pro division by playing, simply increace the amount of relegations in Pro and promotions in Lite in ECL seasons. Lite teams must prove they can get to Pro by playing. Just like Pro and Elite teams/players have been doing over the years. If Elite/Pro players form a new team, they would deserve to try get that open spot in Pro by application, those players have proven them over the years, it's not a shortcut.

  3. Name: kikiukko - Adde Pendikäinen #82 Stick: Left Age: 26 Position: RD/LD Kikiukko the oldest of Kinnu Bros. Kikiukko is good all-around d-man. He has no sparkly moves or rocking hits, but in the other hand he has no weaknesses on the ice. Propably everyone who has played with him and has been on the voice chat does know that this guy is fun to play with. Kikiukko has represented multiple teams in ECL: Vastaanottokeskus, Los Dominos, Murohoki and Old Farts. Now he is part of Rusty Blades like his younger brother kinnune. How did you find EASHL? kikiukko: My younger brothers Kinnune and Kinuz played EASHL and it got mee too year and a half ago. Why Rusty Blades? kikukko: Good team spirit and chance to succeed. Your main goals for NHL18? kikiukko: Get lots of games and help the team. Lots of eSports these days. Why NHL-series from all of the alternatives? kikiukko: I'm better in NHL than CS. Your role-model from real hockey? Why? kikiukko: Atte Pentikäinen wich is my player name also. He is trying 100% every time, but usually plays bad like me. How do you like playing with your brother in the same team? kikiukko: It's fun. Although he does not usually speak a lot.

  4. For the first time, I can feel the heat in Finland this summer. Oh, wait... It came from here? Have to say, that this is one of the greatest votes made in the NHLGamer history, as everyone have (or atleast should have) an opinion for this one. In my opinion, there is no point for Elite teams to start from the Lite, as long as the team is somehow counted to be able to make their way for Pro playoffs. Games that ends 10-0 etc. in Lite won't serve anyone. I would also like to ask about the community, that if new elite team would be placed for Pro Division, how it would go? Antti had some great opinions earlier, and I agree that if we won't want that new teams will all starts from the Lite, we need something black-and-white to count the points. I'm not saying, this should be the new way to count the points, I'm just giving something to think about. Games played in Elite team - one point for each game Games played in Elite team that made to the playoffs - 1.5points for each game Forwards: Top10 in the scoreboard - 20points Defenders: Top10 in the scoreboard for defenders - 20points Goalies: Starting goalie for the team that made their way to playoffs (over 50% games played) - 20points For example, tbnantti would have gained 81.5 points for - Played 30 regular +11 playoff games in Elite team that made their way to playoffs 61.5points - Made it for top10 in the scoreboard and gained 20points At the same time vSilenttio would have 50 points for - Played 30 regular season games in Elite team that did not made their way to playoffs 30points - Made it for top10 in the scoreboard and gained 20points And for the swagx88 the points would be 16 points for - Played 16 regular season games in Elite team that did not made their way to playoffs 16points My key point for all this is, that every player in Elite shouldn't be counted the same way. I think that everyone agrees, that for example tbnantti is much more valuable for the team than non-playoff team's player which played less than 50% of the regular season... There is also 32 teams in Pro. When one Elite team splits up, there would be two new teams for Pro and only one to go for Elite. Will staff be willing to raise the amount of teams in Pro?

  5. You are right. If we are only talking about last season because there was no "Elite teams" in ECL 3(yes there were better teams but where to draw line?). So let's take a look deeper how was Fat Cats last season. KINGOFAPES_ played good season with Written In The Stars. FRIILANDER relegated with SIKA to Pro . YRJOO and NAIKOU88 (6 GP) played in Pro. RANKAISIJA_ (played 2 games in Elite) and NISPEKT got eliminated in 2nd round by HC Ancient Warriors in ECL Lite Playoffs. Seems pretty much to me that we have average Pro team here, not 6 Elite players forming new powerhouse to dominate ice. Too good team to be in Lite? Not in my opinion based on facts. I just try to defend the value of top Lite teams (I don't belong any of them) to NHLGamer community. You can shoot the messenger if you feel like it.

  6. Hello! If I don't remember wrong Rammer&Boys speak earlier about that at when team get a penalty and game still continue because team what don't get a penalty have the puck control and goalie go in the bench. So my question is what year they keep their promise and goalie can play this situation in the field player/6th player? Other thing what I speak already after Summer Cup Finals is that at maybe need to think how you can match better for example powerplay/penalty kill other team player types. What I mean is that at when for example my team get a penalty. I want at opponent can choose that situation that kind of player types in the field(if they want) at they have best possible chance to score the goal/goals in powerplay. And opposite my team can choose in the field players what are best in defense own goal. In my mind you need to match the player types different situations in the field better than now. Now you have¨only 1 line in the field. In my mind we need 4 lines forward+3-4 lines in defense. Still you play this game 6 players against 6 players. So what I want is that at you can choose for example if I play rd then I have 1st line-offensive defenseman, 2nd line-2-way defenseman, 3rd line-puck moving defenseman and 4th line-defensive defenseman. And team can choose in the dressing room what player type they use 1-4 lines plus powerplay and penalty killing and all other special situations. Maybe need to ask game developers about that or just start to speak about that if that is possible to bring in the game year 2075 maybe. Things what need to improve or even ask are they think about change/improve this things in the future: -players who use syncro-error and ip-boot -L1-spam to steal the puck -for now when goalie drop out of the 6vs6 game game stop there and team that goalie drop out get lose. Why team get a lose only that situation when goalie drop out? Same way need to happen when field player drop out of the game. -good practice room where players can train powerplay/faceoff tactics/penalty kill etc all things what are important in the 6vs6 games -puck pick-ups -better balanced player types(it is not ok if some playertype is too overwhelming) -stick checking need to be very strong and other hand you get every time penalty if you try to stick check through the body/legs So what I mean at stick checking need skill not spam like crazy and still survive without a penalty. NHL start Europe again so maybe in the future EA together with NHLGAMER can maybe bring some little tournaments same places where the NHL season start officially. Maybe in the future videogamers can play World Championships in NHL-game same time and same places where Stanley Cup Finals are played every year or maybe there where World Championships of hockey are played... Or something like that. Need money and need sponsors to do that but contacting right people everything is possible. Maybe this our game is already so much better if game developers take old NHL professional players part of the game developers team what work together day after day and year after year with EA game developers. Players who play hockey the highest level whole their life have the right vision of the game and they focus the right things what need to improve. In my mind mascots, crowd, arenas etc are not the first things what need to improve if inside hockey rink all the things don't work correct!

  7. Hey NHL Gamers, while a small group of the NHLGamer staff is currently at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany to follow the latest gaming related trends, we will have a great opportunity next week to talk to some of the EA SPORTS NHL producers. Like last year, we are aiming for another interview compiled from your feedback and specific questions about the NHL series. This opportunity is truly a great way for everyone to voice their opinion and to keep our community and its members recognized as a valuable source of direct community feedback for the development team in Vancouver. How do I submit the feedback/questions? Easy in many ways! 1) Use the comment section below or 2) Write to us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! (Pro tip: Use all of the channels to increase your chance of making it to our list of questions!) @gzell60 for NHLGamer.com

  10. And don't forget: "we" created this LITE div b/c of all the teams that only played 50-60% of their games after been crushed with 10-0, 15-0 against the top-teams. Like Connor said -> Some teams are there for a reason 1. They don't need to face the top-teams (Ofc would it be fun for some of the lite-teams, but if you didn't remember how it ended 2-3 years ago, think again) 2. They don't lose their games with 10-0 3. THAT helps these teams to stay together, having fun and don't forfeit tournaments, and we now don't have the same amount of WO-situations like we had before. 4. they get's matched against similar teams, skillwise, and will improve 5. Everyone has something to play for. LITE - maybe we should call it the "amateur-division", I don't no. And yes, some of the teams in LITE wins games here and there against the Elite-teams in eashl (yes, congratz, good work). But if you really deserves to play in PRO, will you ofc get there.. some day. And it's a big difference between eashl and ECL, or "Mukia-hockey and serious hockey". Yes, I understand that it would suck for some of the "LITE-teams" if new-created teams get's a free-spot in PRO. But hey, what a about a community with "ELITE-teams" that get's forced to play in LITE, and we once again get's tournaments with 17-0 games, IN THE LOWEST DIVISION?! Like Connor said about CS:GO, there is a reason why they don't put good teams in the lower leagues. And this argument about "long-lived" teams and franchise-teams --> You can't force players to play together. There is no money involved, people have no reasons to stay. Captains have nothing to say if people decides to leave. The punishment with losing an Elite spot just b/c you can't replace lost teammates is a big punishment for them who still tries to stay together. But If they still can manage to get players (elite-pro players) but decides to giving up their elite-spot to some other PRO team, why the hell should we force them down to LITE? Who wins? Some LITE team will "maybe" get a "free-ticket" to PRO, and some team who almost reached PRO the tournament before will in 9 of 10 scenarios get a harder opponent to play against, and we will see a team that get's a 30-0-0 record with +211 goals. It makes sense? Maybe we should "delete" this division-dream that the NHLgamer-staff had, and do like we did a couple of years ago --> 1 division, 30 teams, only the best ones, let the Staff decide "who's in", and let the rest just play EASHL. Or is it maybe a reason why we have 3 divisions, is it maybe another reason somewhere that is more important than this franchise-shit? Like, let's give everyone a fair chance, like having tight divisions and no WO-cases. There is also a reason why they putted Carlsberg in PRO in the last tournament and not in LITE. 1. History 2. Skill 3. roster And, this is why we have staff-members? let's hope that they're sober when they takes their decision.

  11. Yes, it's unfair to the franchises grinding that these good players could skip a division, but it's better that they' get into pro if they really are an elite level team. Average (at least bottom/in the middle of bottom and average) pro skilled teams should just go to lite because (as it has been said here) they aren't that far ahead the top lite teams. The reason: "fairness" and all the franchise stuff. Some of you probably think that "Why can't people just register to the right division based on their skill?", that's your opinion and I really don't have a good argument against it other than that in place of them getting straight to pro some already "established" lite team (probably around the same skill level) who just missed the promotion would get the spot kiitosanteeksnäkemiin E: Now that at least most of the teams who were in the wrong division were/are going to be promoted or relegated the lite level might sink but idk yet

  16. To me, that team sounds like too good team to play in lite. They would fight for promotion to elite most likely if placed to pro.

  19. To make everyone happy 1 elite division 2 pro divisions There is a long way to walk from LITE to ELITE when we only have 2 tournaments / year. This is maybe a better game for some of the LITE teams, it maybe fits them better? AND the opposite for some elite-teams. 2 Pro-divisions would actually make it more fair, for everyone. everyone would get a chance (maybe a small one, but still) to play in the highest div, without waiting for NHL 19.

  26. This struck a chord with me. Sounds like it could potentially be very interesting and cool! The EC - European Cup Could lead to teams having slightly larger rosters due to an extra game day every week. Also a great way for new players to claw their way into more established teams and prove their worth in competition games that are "serious", but not as "serious" as teams view the ECL.

  29. For starters I must say that I'm happy with the current format of this ECL divisions and I would love to see it work like it is supposed. Long-lasting. But then again I guess we gotta see the realism and adjust with it. I guess everyone can see the dilemma in this since there are team number caps in higher divisions and many teams are eager to achieve promotion. Sure pro (why not even elite) would be the correct placement for new teams that have skilled/elite players. Then again at same time it would be a huge slap in the face for franchise teams (who wants to promote and are on the line next) in lite who are sticking together and trying to achieve pro spot hard. As it was announced earlier that longetivity of teams is the thing that ECL divisions is trying to go for. Tho I can already sense some teams only have 1-2 player of their last year roster so don't know what is the difference between newly formed team and "original" team with almost whole roster swapped. So therefore I'm thinking out loud that is it possible to rethink the divisions system so there wont be biased users due to unfair treat? Some ideas/suggestions to think about and theyre free to use for further thinking 1) Should there be just two competive divisions instead of current 3 divisions? Elite division with team number cap between 12 - 20 teams and Pro division open for everyone who wants to play competively. Lite would be for teams that are somehow more casual and it would have its own eco system! Promotions/relegations scale between Elite and Pro divisions should stay as they are now. All the newly formed teams who want to play competively would be just one season away of the Elite division so the road wont be so long to the Elite. 2) Should we keep current 3 division system and just add another open division for players who don't want to play competively. That way we could avoid them 15-0 crushing games between new teams with skilled/elite players and casual chillers who just want to have some fun.Ofc then it would take minimum of 2 seasons for new teams to get into Elite. 3) Is it possible to create cup that takes place at the same time ECL seasons(?). We could use similar format they use in English football (FA-cup). Then we could see some cross-action between division lines in "serious" games! And them newly formed challengers would have a good spot to show their skills already during their grindfest through lower divisions! And every round should definitely be Bo1 so stakes would be high in every game and this wouldn't take too much time during ECL game weeks. Would love to see lower division team knocking out elite teams in this one! See you on the ice! kjkj

  31. I don't see a point in placing obviously stacked in lite only to destroy the teams, as it goes completely against the idea of the divisions in the first place. I know the staff underlined the desire for a certain type of longevity with teams, but I see that as merely limiting the competitiveness of the game. However, in order for this type of system to be possible, there has to be a specific way to rate teams and their level. There are various different ways to do that, but the simplest way would be to assign personal ratings to players and when a certain threshold is reached when the player ratings are added up, the team is granted access to Pro if there is room. Say, playing x games in elite the previous season grants a player y rating. On top of that, if he's a forward and finishes in the, say, top-20 in points, he gets z points on top of that. Have rules like this for every position, where the player ratings are in black and white, something tangible to judge a team's ability objectively. This is obviously just a rough example to give you an idea of how a team rating could be achieved through personal performance. I do understand that some players in lite would actually relish the challenge of facing excellent teams in the lowest tier, so their voices should obviously be heard as well.

  33. The time has come for me to spread my wings and put myself… eh, lets skip to the point. I am looking for a team. (sold) A 6vs6 ECL franchise that is dedicated, a fun group to play with and above all: always looking to improve. For those of you who don’t know me, I am KenuFHR, a longtime ECL (and before that EHL) player who runs this beautiful website (along with some other lovely people). Despite being asked for ID when buying Pepsi, I am old (32). When I am not coding and/or breaking stuff on the site, I have previously made my home on RW for clubs such as Kattiautomaatti, FHR Punakone (never forget) and others. While I am most comfortable on RW, I can play the other forward positions as well. @janbonator and @Dominointi will surely aid to perfect my face-off skills by the time ECL 5 kicks off, if helpful for the team. With me you get a positionally aware two-way winger with playmaking ability who’s gone up against the very best the EASHL community has to offer and know what it takes to play at that level. Therefore, I am first and foremost looking for teams in ECL Elite or ECL Pro. Should you wish to check my stats, you can do so here: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=4 As you can see from the stats, NHL 17 was not a big effort on my side time-wise (due to working abroad) and I am back and ready to bring my A-game back in NHL 18. Send me a PM here or on PSN (KenuFHR) if interested. On a side-note. @Pontus T aka Terasniska is hands down one of the best D-men I've ever played with and I had the privilege of playing with him on the same team in the Summer Cup. You absolutely need this guy on your Elite team. Better yet, bring us both in.
