  1. Ins and outs Out: Gustafsson7 has been with Sjukstugan since the dawn_angel off the 360`s. He has grown from a glitching litte rascal to the amazingly wunderschöön Brunkare he is today. Thank you for countless off laughs and great nights playing and talking. Our paths probably will meet again, but till then, it has been an absolute privilege and honour for you. That Synergy was next in line for Olof was kind off obvious since Pelle3000 had been speaking to Olof`s father years back when Olof was in regular school. Rumor has it they have been planning this deal many years back. Rimpe37 the great vs player made his ECL debut helping Sjukstugan advance to Elite for next season with 17 goals and 45 points in 22 games. A great teamplayer who master all 3 offensive position and allways chipped in points and great spirit. Valar Morghulis, Sjukstugan thank you. Here by your watch has ended. Filariou the little Zlatan came to us like it was written in the stars to have an absolut crucial role helping Sjukstugan to Elite. Scoring 23+23 in 16 games in regular season followed by 30+15 in 22 games in the playoffs he was our leading offesive player. Youre great and best off luck in Dynasty along with... The alpha furyan who was dominating the offense from his D position and in the playoff lead all defenders in points with 4 goals and 24 helpers in 22 games. 11 points before second player, including GWG in game 7 against Kattiautomati which meant promotion. This guy is terrific both on the screen and in your ears. The best off luck to you sir. Ins: SadaPoika played last ECL in Written scoring 14+29 over 28 games. Truly gifted player that brings us a new LW Finn to score our goals. GMBonn and Sada also played summer cup in the same team. Very welcome Sada. Wanna win, have a Finn. Pippo1891 chears for one truly great team, AC Milan. And now also Sjukstugan. From Nordic Lightning had 2.37 gaa last season and 1.50 the season before and now he is here. Amazingly good add to our Goalies that now contains Lastmandalorian, Pippo1891 and the very overpaid lazyass Crono. Klingen45, eyebiz wide shut. There is a second coming off Dolph Lundgren i Sjukstugan. King-Kling scored 17+19 in 19 games for Nordic Lightning last season and now he takes LD too play alongside... JaikenK "Jaiken e klar" lastmandalorian shouted out loud when he read the news. A Sjukstugan "ball of farmer" that played just like King-Kling and Maldini last ECL with our good friends in Nordic Lightning. The Yellow King is back. Gustafsson7 -->Synergy, Filariou & the alpha furyan -->Dynasty. Rimpe--> ??? Pippo1891, klingen45, JaikenK <--Nordic Lightning. Sadapoika <--Written in the stars

  2. As the release of the Completely New And Revamped NHL 18 and thus the season 5 of ECL is almost around the corner, it is time to sit back, relax and gently touch yourself while reminiscing about the glorious moments of Elämäm Kiekko on ECL4. The season got off to a rocky start, when we managed to score only one point in the first four games. No one could've been more surprised as we were, and the arguments were heated. Uncharacteristic and insensitive insults and threats of sexual violence flew in the air, and most of the team was split between kicking out the underachieving forwards Rustylul and Markogirl, and quitting the game altogether to play Minecraft. But, as always, after couple of hours of fighting and one case of indecent exposure our jolly and laid-back father figure Epsri managed to lay down his pizza and utter soothing words of wisdom from the depths of his five chins. "I think this calls for a beer", as I recall and I do remember that moment as it was yesterday. Looking back, it was the moment that fused us together as a team. The supportive, forgiving and everloving EMK was back on the track, and our season was a huge success, with unprecedented winning streaks with only couple of statistical losses here and there. We found ourselves in the play-off stage of ECL4 lite, where we suffered our first and only major setback of the season, when our legendary goalie Oi Spakalia had to step down for the remainder of the season due to a combination of nervous breakdown from the abuse of antidepressants, and several venerial diseases. To commemorate their fallen brother, the team fought valiantly with the help of our back-up goalie Arturs Inka, and nearly managed to make it to the second round, but that was not meant to be, as the INF4MOUS won the series 4-2. As disappointed as we were, there was still some celebrating to be done; Mustalais Joulupukki was unanimously named as the MVP of the team, and Munien Haistelu was crowned as the king of points in a festive ceremony on our town's main square. As for the new season... Well, only time will tell. Kalchu (Oi Spakalia) has been speaking of retirement, and after hearing this Rustylul and Yofilul also decided to quit saying "it won't be the same without him, you know". After listening the wail, weeping and pleading of his beloved brethren Kalchu has announced that he is reconsidering, but will not make a decision before the game is published. -Kalchu Same text in Finnish below

  4. The time has come for me to spread my wings and put myself… eh, lets skip to the point. I am looking for a team. (sold) A 6vs6 ECL franchise that is dedicated, a fun group to play with and above all: always looking to improve. For those of you who don’t know me, I am KenuFHR, a longtime ECL (and before that EHL) player who runs this beautiful website (along with some other lovely people). Despite being asked for ID when buying Pepsi, I am old (32). When I am not coding and/or breaking stuff on the site, I have previously made my home on RW for clubs such as Kattiautomaatti, FHR Punakone (never forget) and others. While I am most comfortable on RW, I can play the other forward positions as well. @janbonator and @Dominointi will surely aid to perfect my face-off skills by the time ECL 5 kicks off, if helpful for the team. With me you get a positionally aware two-way winger with playmaking ability who’s gone up against the very best the EASHL community has to offer and know what it takes to play at that level. Therefore, I am first and foremost looking for teams in ECL Elite or ECL Pro. Should you wish to check my stats, you can do so here: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=4 As you can see from the stats, NHL 17 was not a big effort on my side time-wise (due to working abroad) and I am back and ready to bring my A-game back in NHL 18. Send me a PM here or on PSN (KenuFHR) if interested. On a side-note. @Pontus T aka Terasniska is hands down one of the best D-men I've ever played with and I had the privilege of playing with him on the same team in the Summer Cup. You absolutely need this guy on your Elite team. Better yet, bring us both in.

  7. Still looking I have played EASHL since NHL 11. Previous teams Northern Spirit aka Team Upi, KiekkoKopla, Northern Ascendancy, Fat Cats, Baltic Sea Eagles. i like good team defence and fast passing game. Love to give lot big hits and make some ugly goals.

  8. Slowly getting there, like the beta version more and more. I like the idea that teamplay and passing game is more valued now. Even thou skill stick is a tad too slow. Could be something from the middle of 17 and this beta. 🤔 Not liking how L1 works. It was a good tool(that I refused to use) in 17, but way too overpowered in beta. Started to use it more couple days ago. Hate it, but hate losing more. Dont like the chop faceoff. What a way to ruin battle of two centermen. And it is a total bs that goalie can knock his own net off. Saw an Elite team use this yesterday when they were couple goals down in thirth. That spoiled one break-away and after that it was done couple times when we got the puck posession. These kind of things needs to be worked out by EA. Yeah, shame on using these, but the main blame goes towards EA. Few fixes here and there and we have a great game. Can't wait for full version and start of next ECL. 🤗

  9. Forward: I personally liked the changes that have been made and the games are looking sligtly more like real hockey games. (more passing, puck moving faster?). Player types are in quite good balance now. Defenceman: Felt like mistakes are more costly, right stick won't save you anymore once you get under pressure. Team's positioning plays bigger role than before. Goalie: Breakaways are a bit more difficult, otherwise quite similar to NHL17. However, in my opinion the development after NHL16 has been mostly negative, goalies are forced to play more and more on standing feet, not moving much, which makes the controlling easier but boring (+ pretty much everybody will be playing in a similar way). From other point of view learning to play as goalie is easy so finding a goalie for 6s probably gets easier as well.

  10. Hey NHL Gamers, We hope you are enjoying the NHL 18 Beta as much as we are! If you haven't had the chance yet, you should check out the new NHL 18 trailer, titled NHL Threes Official Gameplay Trailer. You can check out the new trailer below: Campaigns, playable mascots, teams other than NHL teams... these all sound like good things for this mode in my opinion, but what do you think? Are you looking forward to getting on the ice with one of the mascots, or are you sticking to the other game modes, and if so, which one(s)? Let us know in the comments below! Until next time Gamers!

  13. Hey NHL Gamers, Many of us were hoping for it, most of us were certainly speculating about it - scratch your head no more! EA SPORTS has confirmed that the NHL 18 Beta is in fact now open for everyone - no beta code necessary. Just jump into the Playstation or Xbox store and you should be able to locate the beta for download. Chances are, you've already been enjoying the beta for a week. In that case, just continue enjoying - no further action necessary! As you can see from the below image we snagged from their Instagram post, the beta will now end on the 8th of August. Without further ado, pick up those controllers and see you on the ice! On behalf of the NHLGamer staff,

  18. Hey guys, just wanted to check in over here to see how things were going on the Euro side of competitive EASHL. I have to say there are a lot of things you guys do differently over here that I think we should pick up on for our competitive club league. We already picked up on the European style points system with W/OTW/OTL/L rather than the usual NHL style. I think it works out a lot better especially in a game like NHL 17 where there isn't a huge skill gap. I get a lot of people on my youtube channel (Between the Pipes) asking about 6v6 leagues for European players and I make sure I point them in the direction of this site (i've only every heard of the ECL). I will be sure to stick around and try and keep up with what's going on over here! Hopefully one day there will be a way to play each other without too much of a delay or even on LAN (lul). Playing Nordic Nightmare on 150 ping isn't very fun Also really glad to see your main player base is on the PS4, it's way better. Just checking in.

  19. Good afternoon, Gamers The second episode of ECL Talk is here and so are our sound problems! Yes, we know what you're thinking: good job @vSilenttio and @The_Alpha_Furyan - and we thank you for that. So, to poke some fun at ourselves and to honor the late Chester Bennington, we've named the episode after a Linkin Park song; Lost In The Echo. Be sure to note how confident we sound in the beginning of the episode that we did indeed fix our issue... Anyway, here's whats going down today (synopsis from YouTube page): "In this second episode of ECL Talk, our hosts The_Alpha_Furyan and vSilenttio turn their attention to reviewing the NHL 18 Beta. The episodes main focus is on our hosts providing their own impressions of the game, while also discussing which ECL franchises seems to have figured out the game and done well for themselves in this short span of time. Furthermore, ECL Talk #2 touches down in the Free Agents thread – looking at some of the remaining “big dogs” out there. Lastly, the Summer Cup is discussed briefly with the champions being crowned no more than a week ago." Stay tuned for more ECL Talk and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like the video if you want to see more content like this in the future. PS: A final apology for the once again poor audio quality – for Episode 3 we will be recording in a different manner to make sure the quality is crisp. See you then! @vSilenttio and @The_Alpha_Furyan for NHLGamer.com
