Good evening, NHL Gamers! League Administration finalized it's ruling for a case involving the teams Refuse To Lose and Silver Sword Griffins and the player Kefleri. Kefleri left RTL without agreement from the captain Hanssonni, and joined SSG to immediately play 2 games with them against HC Checkmate. This violates the following rule: --- 8. Recruitment and transfers "Team assistant captains are allowed to transfer in case the team captain agrees to a transfer. In case the team captain disagrees, an assistant captain is not allowed to be transferred to another team." --- After discussing the case with both teams and the affected player, League Administration decided on the following outcome: Both games between Silver Sword Griffins and HC Checkmate will need to be replayed without Kefleri Kefleri will receive a 2 game ban for SSG's games against Kattiautomaatti pelimies80 will receive a 2 game ban for SSG's games against Kattiautomaatti due to transferring the player, even though he was aware of the above rule pelimies80 will of course be allowed to participate in the two rematches against HC Checkmate At the time of this news story, Refuse to Lose agreed to the transfer, so Kefleri is allowed to join Silver Sword Griffins after all. We would also like to include a general reminder to all captains: You are the team leader, and you have the power to decline an Assistant Captain's transfer. However if there are personal differences involved, and the captain tries to abuse this power by tying the player to the team after damage was already done (purposefully), the Fair Play rule comes into play. Benching a player in this scenario is strictly not welcome and League Administration will investigate. @Kefleri @pelimies80 @xLVxRitchey @ProMinx24 @OxtreeLAT @Hanssonni @ReDMisTi @TackleControl @Juizki @selänne8 - League Administration10 points

I wanted to share a few observations about the new API. Please move to a more relevant thread if there is one. Overall I'd say the API system is a great idea and something we've been waiting for. The current problems with its implementation, however, suggest to me that it might not be possible to fix them here at the site, but rather at EA's end. We all know how that usually works out. The API derives its individual statistics from the window with player ratings etc, but these statistics can be inconsistent with other match statistics. For example, the other day we played a EASHL game in which our player scored 3 goals. In the "stars of the game" window he had 3 goals as he should, but in the window with player ratings he only had 2 goals. It could be these sort of conflicts in EAs stats-system that causes much of the current issues here at NHLGamer. I actually hope the issue would be here and thus fixable. If you don't have a clear idea how to solve the issues rather quick, I think you should seriously consider dropping the API for now, because the problems will quickly mount up too huge with the amount of teams involved. Even Elite alone is already quite a mess stats-wise. For example, Dynasty has 8 wins and in individual stats there's a whopping total of 4 game winning goals scored. There are multi-goal games marked as OT wins, thus messing up the standings, too. If it is fixable but takes a few weeks, I'd imagine you will have well over a hundred games to fix manually..6 points

I played ECL 3 season in Checkmate and i can cofirm that we could have played those games againts SSG in last two regular season days but majority of us didn't wanted to play and only wanted WO. The time what i was there i sadly must say that Checkmate is that kind of club who prefer to get WO than decide who is better on ice. Im relieved that stuff didn't give WO to checkmate (what i strongly believe they wanted) but instead we play rematch games. -entii1125 points

I never would've thought that a team could be so desperate to get another ass whooping. Two blowout loses for HC Checkmate... Guess they are different. Well played BiggestEight and Hanssonni. You got another chance! Same exact slimy way that HC Checkmate used to get WO wins in the last season after purposely avoiding the other team and taking a break from the game. Truly fits your name. As for Kefleri - I'm glad that he joined our team and we would do it again if we had to. Being abused by his Refuse To Lose teammates and captain, spouting disgusting insults about his girlfriend and unborn child - that's unacceptable. Shame on you Hanssonni, shame on you Refuse To Lose. Shame, shame, shame. As for the game suspensions - when you contacted us, they were issued for the games against the next default opponent. As such, we acknowledged that and iced a suboptimal lineup for those games. If you plan to enforce them in the games against Nemesis, effectively punishing the two players for no reason, we'll appeal for a replay of our games against CAT. After all you seemingly have already set the ridiculous precedent for replaying games. - Ox, assistant captain of Silver Sword Griffins5 points

There's again some problems with SSG? BANNIA BANNIA!4 points

Well at least it's a first time for a team being told to fully replay both played games... in any season really. Having in mind that opposition's Captain had full understanding of our goalie and that he should not be playing at all prior the game and still proceeded to play. Later only after loosing, he discussed it with Hanssonni and collectively head to "LA". I bet not a single word would have been mentioned in outcomes if Checkmate would have won. This is how I see it in a nutshell.4 points

i think is no point to keep talking on here, just waste of the time that's all. The games will have to be replayed anyway, so let the action speak not the words3 points

Again - I've seen the "nice" side of this community. Everyone shit talking, insulting girlfriends and threatening to rape ones unborn child. I've reached a point where I genuinely don't think it's worth my personal time to help improving the community for people like you. It's just not worth it, especially seeing how my fellow teammates get ridiculed every single time as well(even if at times they aren't the only ones at fault). Like last season - SSGs C got his console banned few hours before the scheduled games. They didn't get replacement in time. What happens next? The C buys a new console the very next day, they are basically ready to play the games at any time. What about the other teams? Oh, they have decided to take a break from the game(cue Entti's comment where he shows how "interested" you were into playing those games). And then I read in the chatbox insulting comments about SSG how they can't finish the season. And then the FR and SYN fiasco. I joined them and took a role in staff, in an attempt to help improve this community. Now I've come to realization - why bother? I personally don't enjoy getting shit on and dealing with people who's main purpose is to fuck with others. Yes, we made a mistake. I'm not arguing about it. Nor am I against the current punishment(even tho point deductions would be a more sensible approach since no serious sport just "replays" their events). But you also made a bunch of mistakes by contacting the wrong people. You simply could've refused to play. Also, lets be real, don't try to hide how you orchestrated this little play together with your friend Hanssonni. Sorry, but I do have a very good reason for being upset at you after what you've done this and the previous season. Plus, scheduling games with you - we made the sacrifices and adapted. You're not available 80% of the time, can't make the default dates, won't play two opponents during the same day. Oh, and the cherry on top - when I come back to you after talking with my teammates and agree to play the games during one of the few days you previously purposed and noted as being free - you say that it's not gonna happen. Wonderful. Yes, I am pissed. Especially after hearing how someone threatened to rape Kefleri's unborn child. Sorry, but I don't take those things lightly. What message? The one with "Everything OK?"? Because that's the only message I received from you on the game day. Do I need to have a crystal ball to understand what you're meaning with that? Also, as you probably noticed, I wasn't playing that evening. Hell, my PS4 wasn't even turned on. What you should've done is contact the other two captains(especially since they both WERE playing, one of them being the actual captain of the team). It's common sense - if you have something urgent to discuss and you can't reach someone - message the other captains. But I guess that's too complicated for some people. As they say - common sense isn't that common.3 points

Why are you contacting pelimies!! with the concerns you had? He's not in Captaincy of this team... is he? Contacting the right person(s) at least would have prevented your 2nd chance. You said you knew Pelimies had history of "violating rules" yourself... and you contact him?? Purposely or not, ain't really smart. Or is it? You tell me sauceman!3 points

If this is true and can be proven imo more dire punishment should be considered.3 points

Just to clear things up a bit: When we noticed Kefleri was playing for SSG, we contacted SSG saying they're (most likely) not allowed to play with Kefleri on their lineup. We also tried to contact The_Alpha_Furyan to get a confirmation the captain rule still applies. We did not get a reply from The_Alpha_Furyan before our games were supposed begin, but we got a message from SSG saying that the rule has changed and it's ok for them to play these games. Since we had no confirmation we had to play against SSG, simply due to a fact that if we happened to be wrong SSG would've (most likely) requested a WO wins over us. SSG: you guys know the rules. I think it's quite hypocritical to blame us for this situation after you tried to misslead us saying rules have changed, you are the ones who broke the rules AND you completely neglected our warning that your roster might not be eligible to play.3 points

Hey, my account has had some technical issues lately, but its all fine now. Im really excited to hear that there is a lot of support for these type of videos, and I will do my best to live up to all the hype and expectations. My purpouse with this topic is to create another place where the community can share all their best goals and saves from the ECL. The way to do this is to post your video links below in the comment section, or send them directly to me @Danielcadabra. In addition to the long article posted earlier, I have also made a short video tutorial using SHAREfactory that hopefully explains the basics for what type of replays we are looking for, and how you can upload and share them with us. If you still have questions feel free to comment below, or send me a message @Danielcadabra2 points

Just to clarify and make admins jobs easier - Hc Magic Zone and us (Carlsberg Hc) played our ecl-games and after those this dude started to demand a picture of our internet speeds. I asked where does he need these pics and he said basicly that because of our internets, our passes went through their players easier. I wondered why he wants to know about our internets, because usually the cnc is worse vs Russian teams but yeah if the rules says that there is demand to nhlgamer.com users internets then i can send him pic of mine internet Thanks and mucho lööv.2 points

Hello everybody. I recently changed from xbox to PS4 and now i'am looking team for 6vs6 games. Somebody might remember from xbox (Gamertag Tuomo83). I have played EASHL for many years and i have played couple tournaments in previous nhl series. I usually play LW or LD but i can also play C/RW/RD. I prefer Finnish but english is not a problem.2 points

@OxtreeLAT Ewww.... Dude, you're part of League administration. You gotta be above these things, even when it concerns your team. Just have one of your clubmates comment on it in your place or something.2 points

You did what you did thats done. Now we can focus on playing this tournament in different teams1 point

Oooh are you saying you didnt say anything about me or my family with hakala. Maybe you should remember that evening better. You didnt say you are going to rape my unborn child but you was with him who said that and after that you are giving me father of the year medal and talking shit about me and my girlfriend. So dont speak shit1 point

Im not crying, i just did my job. you didnt follow the rules, sorry if its my fault. Maybe i go to practice and you go to read one more time rules. See you on the ice1 point

Overall, to me it looks quite a messy situation, and that's what you generally end up with on matters where the rules rely largely on judgement calls. I feel the ruling in this case is OK. The details can always be argued upon. Replaying the games is an interesting precedent, but to be honest it feels like a much better solution than handing out WOs. There are a few players involved who've never proved to have an understanding of rules and/or the ability to follow them. I recall a wide sweep with a big-ass banhammer back in the days.1 point

Our 2nd assistant Captain… not Captain - get it right. Who contacted who between you and Pelimies doesn't change a thing since you still discussed it with him on personal level. Regarding your unsuccessful "attempts" contacting Oxtree before games is something completely new to me! Btw, you got exactly what you came for (perhaps maybe not exactly but you got your 2nd chance), why are you still "crying"? Go practice or something… ^^1 point

Yo, "Another chance" i dont really think i got any chances with this case? I play in RTL, not Checkmate. All i wanted in this case was justice, If theres a rule that i have to accept the trade, then its gonna be that way. Pelimies got warned by the opponents but he didnt notice it, thats it. And about being abused, you guys can think what you want. Its my and Kefleri's problem, i can only say that i did not say anything bad neither of his girlfriend, or unborn child.1 point

Nah this is punishment enough. Also if I'm not mistaken Alpha Furyan is not a league admin, he's on the staff for media content.1 point

I still have a role in SSG captaincy. If I see bullshit, I'm gonna call it out. BiggestEight(@selänne8) has been one of the slimiest people around here(as proven in the previous posts). As far as my current role in staff - at this time I'm reconsidering my further involvement into the development and administration of the tournament.1 point

I didn't realize the trade deadline was so soon, shiiiiiit!... COMPANY OF GEEKS (Pro division) is very much looking for a starting GOALIE and a starting (preferably left) DEFENSEMAN for the end of ECL and beyond. We could also use an extra forward. PM me here or on PSN: Billy442051 point

This wasn't the first time during this season where captain/alternate captain wants to be transfered to some other team. Difference is that in other cases, people contacted LA about those transfers and told what has happened and what they want to do. In this one, people involved didn't care about the rules and just acted without thinking what it might cause. Of course, this is my personal opinion about this case. Believe me or not - most of the rules are there because of an actual reason.1 point

Hello NHLGamers, Welcome to another edition of "Who's Hot and Who's Not". A format first introduced this summer during the ECL Summer Cup, the "Hot or Not"-column was a source of much emotion and debate during its first tour of duty... so naturally we decided to bring it back! This time around the lists will be a bit shorter (we have atleast five times more teams and three different divisions to cover) but hopefully just as accurate and prone to create debates. I have enlisted @nylanderi to help out with the list for Elite while I myself will handle Pro & Lite. As always, we have the great @OxtreeLAT providing some terrific art for both the cover and the different sections within the article. The column will be a weekly occurence just like before so look for it on Sundays during the season. Before we begin I'd just like to direct a few short words to those of you who are struggling with our new match reporting system, the EA API. We are tracking your error reports (keep producing as detailed reports as possible) and those on the staff with technical skills are also working towards improving the systems functionality. What you can do meanwhile is this; - Have patience. Sometimes a game will not appear in the API system for a few hours (we've had reports of delays up to 5-6 hours) so games might have to be reported the day after. If the game hasn't showed up for you the next day efter playing, please contact us to see how we can be of assistance. - Do not report games in the old tool unless absolutely neccessary. If your games were completed without disconnects, wait for the game to show up in the API instead of reverting back to the old tool. We understand everyone wants the games reported as soon as possible (hell, we do too!) but for now we ask for your patience. - Be careful. Before completing your game report - check your input one extra time. The system isn't working at 100% yet, but just by being extra careful when reporting you are helping us all out alot. Thank you. - Home team reports their game so 1 report each. Now, let us get to the lists! by nylanderi WHO’S HOT - ELITE Forward: Vilupoika, SKY What a start it has been for Written in The Stars. They have won 11/12 of their games, and Vilupoika has 15+15=30 in those 12 games. Written has been a really good defensive team as well, so we know that Vilu has been really important in the defensive aspect of the game also. Runner-ups: Kingofapes_, SKY - Just barely edged out by Vilupoika, both these forward and their teammates have been big contributors in SKYs torrid start. Ape actually has 31 points but one goal less than Vilu. I_Eki_I, MUK - The total points leader with 32 points, however two more games played than Ape and Vilu. Defender: Totalii, SKY - Written has conceded the least goals in the league, so Writtens defense lead by their captain has been rock solid! Totalii has also contributed with 8 points in the 1st week, and leads dmen’s scoring race. Runner-up: vSilenttio, SIK - Goal scoring leader for all defenders in Elite (5), hats off to SIKAs captain and catalyst. Goalie: Danielcadabra and s_w1ld_RUS, SKY - These goaltenders are both in the Top-5 for Wins while maintaining Save Percentages over 80% and combining for 5 shutouts. Nuff said. Runner-up: Ranta83, WHO - The goalie leader for Wins in Elite. WHO'S NOT - ELITE Forward: ReDMisTi, RTL - Refuse To Lose' start to the season has been real tough. They have had lots of problems in the offense and Misti has only scored 2+8=10 in 10 games, with a massive -22. Defender: puke85, GRR - Aapon Taikasauva was ranked as one of the best defensive teams in the league by me, so it was a suprise for me to see puke85 with -4 after 8 games. Aapons defense has to step it up if they wanna succeed. Goalie: juha96, RV - RV has had a real rocky start. You should never blame your goalie but we all know that Juha could do a little better after his great performances in previous tournaments... (Editors Note: was written before juha96s departure from RV) by The_Alpha_Furyan WHO’S HOT - PRO Forward: Stefan_397, ICE - This accurate sniper from Inter Iceland has certainly lived up to his title of a "Player to watch", having celebrated 30 goals in just 16 games so far. Even more impressive then that he not only leads the goal category but also the points category by a margin of 7 points with 46 points in 16 games. Runner-ups: jm__98___, UB - Second in goals (26) and points (39) - a no-brainer pick. IbjonoI, 112 - Third in points (39) and with the most GWGs in Pro (4). Defender: entii112, SSG - 15 points in 6 games seems like an impossible feat at this level but this defender has done it so far! Warms my OFD-heart to see defenders scoring points. Well done enti! Runner-up: Tanski87, RB - Tied to be goal scoring leader for all defenders in Pro (5), this monstrous defender also leads the Pro division for hits by a defenseman with 81. Look out for this double threat on the blueline, pro teams. Goalie: LastMandalorian, 112 - The goaltending leader for Wins with 14 Ws (13 regulation, 1 OT) in 18 games played also has 4 shutouts (nobody else has more than 1) and a GAA at 1.77 with a save % close to 80. A solid foundation for 112 to build on. Runner-up: hoigga, CAT - This goalie has not yet lost a game (14 wins in 14 games - 10 regulation, 4 OT) while maintaining a save % over 80% and a GAA under 2. If he can keep this up, CAT looks set for a long playoff run in Pro. WHO'S NOT - PRO Forward: friskaviljor, SHO - With just 5+5=10 in 9 games as a forward, friskaviljors production is certainly OK. That -18 is a bit tougher to ignore though. Defender: Duran93-, KNS - Bare Knuckles needs a little bit more than 1+4=5 and a -11 in 10 games from one of its top defenders. Goalie: Siickan, TBB - Sporting an 0-6-0 record and some tough statistical numbers, The Beagle Boyz is in need of Siickan to channel his inner Hasek for the rest of the season to bounce back. by The_Alpha_Furyan WHO’S HOT - LITE Forward: moilanenC, JPT - 31+21 for 52 points in 12 games are some completely insane numbers. The whole line for JPT has been unreal (currently sitting at 1-2-3 in the scoring race) but moilanen gets the nod for #1 due to his goal scoring prowess. Runner-ups: makeee76, JPT - Point scoring leader with 25+28=53 in 12 games. mikihoo, JPT - With 16+24=40 in 12 games, one would have to imagine mikihoo is the defensive catalyst on the JPT line. Defender: jonezki26, JPT - The JPT dominance continues here with jonezki delivering 3+21 for 24 points in 12 games. A points per game average at 2 for a defender, combined with a +42, commands respect. Runner-up: Zuominen, PAP - On that notion the top defender for Papat, Zuominen, is no slouch himself with 18 points in 8 games, including 4 goals and 60 hits. Goalie: jjuhao, JPT - Finishing the sweep for JPT is goaltender jjuhao with his 11-1-0 record, 2 shutouts and solid personal statistics. Runner-up: Nebelparder55555, HHC - This goalie would probably have had a great shot at being #1 for this edition of the column (his numbers with save % almost at 90, GAA at 1 and 3 shutouts certainly raises eyebrows) but sadly misses out due to just competing in 8 games so far. Look out for Nebel on next weeks edition though! WHO'S NOT - LITE Forward: Reaper-80, 666 - Once again, the +/- is a leading statistic when putting together this column and A Dream Valhalla is another team that is struggling. Reaper-80 is putting up some numbers, 6+4=10 in 13 games as a winger, but needs to up his +/- and pot a few more points for 666 to stay afloat. Defender: xsakux99, BHC - Blues HC have had a real tough season so far, hopefully saku and friends can turn it around but for now he finds himself on this list with 4 points and a -36 in 11 games. Goalie: Hujunake, VEM - While I have no doubt this goaltender with the great name, Pablo Escobar, is trying to smuggle out as many wins as he can, a few more than 3 in 13 is needed. See you next week - later skaters/ The_Alpha_Furyan & nylanderi for NHLGamer.com1 point
