  1. LaserHT - Finnish Roosters Oh boys what a series this gonna be! I have been thinking lately how this series gonna end and who will go to FINALS! Little team interview first before my best guess. Everybody knows Laser, their great players like Patzlaf, Dominointi and Vatalisti. They play very smart hockey so its very hard beat these guys in playoffs! But this is actually their first test. Recent opponents werent top teams ofc there was Northern Ascendancy yeah there plays best rw in game foppatofflan but it still isnt on very top team category in my opinion. Laser had some problems against these clubs. So time will show what gonna happen... Finnish Roosters they are atleast top 4 team again. We all know their big players like PleeMaker and Tbnantti damn they are good. Everybody talks about them offense but I think their defence is atleast enough to beat team like LaserHT. FR is already won very good team in this tournament (Nordic Blizzards) this might be difference between laser and FR. They know how to win big teams ofc laser know thats but they havent been in that situation yet in this tournament. So I think FR wins 4-2. Surprise Aapon taikasauva - X Factor You cant miss this series! There is so much skill in both teams I think this gonna be most entertaining games for audience so far. When we are talking about Aapo first you think players like joukki13, Puantso and Indi969. Maybe best offense at the moment! You might heard that aapos defenders arent that good but after I saw few games defenders are actually quite good. So defence wont be Aapo´s problem. How to beat this team ? X Factor dont have so good offense than Aapo but players like Penatski, vilupoika and KingOfApes_ will try keep aapo´s defenders busy. Maybe difference maker in this series could be X Factors defenders, (Nylanderi and F-B-I__A-N-D-Y_) . They might be able to beat this "super" offense.. Have to say X Factor wins series 4-2 as im member of X Factor This gonna be so hard to win hope we can do it! (This isnt x Factors official opinion or absolute truth, this is just my personal thoughts) Hope you enjoyed this little preview =P

  6. Yeah Leaguegaming is awesome and I'll go as far as to say I wish our community would have joined that website instead of creating this one. What's done is done now though so meh... Leaguegaming is several years ahead of NHLGamer any way you look at it. I mean, they have a smartphone app that allows you (among any other things) to take game stats through OCR! In my opinion NHLGamer is never ever catching up on the technological side of things and there's no point even discussing it. On the organizational side however it should be easier to go towards implementing some things like: - The power structure is clean and well defined and they are appropriately staffed. And yes that means there's a lot of people involved. To be honest their community is a lot more involved than ours. It's only the 3rd time I'm advocating a better power structure on this website guys. 10 more times and it might finally happen (like the division system lol). - Their rulebook is stupidly big but also beautifully designed. No need to take the entire book (more like fucking encyclopedia) but some parts of it, sure why not? - 3 tournaments per year - The equivalent of their CanAm tournament, which would be I guess SWE/FIN/Other tournament for us. - A tracker for player infractions and bans and all that. - A LOT more media content. Like, weekly podcasts for each division + written articles by several different people for each division. As far as I know there is no interest among European players in the classic LG league format which is very different from club tournaments (but of course now LG also has club tournaments on top of their classic leagues).

  7. Hello NHLgamers! Finnish, experienced mainly C/RW (I can also play other roles) is looking team for the next ECL season. Last season I played in Falun coal miners and that was my 3rd tournament in NHLgamer. I have been played EASHL since 2015 and NHL series since NHL 98 I guess with N64 (Ha ha). Im playing allmost everyday so activity is not a problem. What I hope from the team is that I can hone my skills, learn new things and ofc become a better player! I dont mind if I am not that FIRST center in your team if I had a chance to practice with good players who are more experienced then me. So this next season is most likely face wash for me and chance to become part of the team for long time. I can take criticism. I want you to tell me what I did wrong and what I did right thats how I learn. If you are interested, put a message and lets choose the right day for the tryout! Contact me on PSN or here in NHLgamer. See you on the ice! PSN: topikeranen

  15. Though we will remain EASHL focused for the foreseeable future, I really don't expect us to stop there. Especially with recent news in mind The roadmap for the next few months is clear though: Get Divisions out there and make ECL even more exciting, it's what everyone is waiting for. We are planning ahead though, so let's see what other things we want to bring to life

  19. Listen up NHL Gamers, you crazy bunch just hit another impressive milestone: 1500 members on NHLGamer.com! First of all, a huge thank you to everyone out there - you are the ones that make this journey such an exciting ride. Keep being as passionate, ambitious and inspirational as in 2016, this is the kind of culture that drives this project as a whole. We want to keep striving for improvements, and have set the course for an interesting 2017: We are paving the way for a true eSports experience by setting up a divisional system for our popular ECL tournament, which goes hand in hand with recent news of Hansulinho signing an actual contract with one of Finland's biggest eSports teams, ENCE, to expand to the NHL series. This is a strong signal, and we want to take this opportunity to keep growing rapidly together with the great support and collaboration from the very best NHL players in Europe. Recently, we also added a couple of new staff members (a shoutout to @vSilenttio and @OxtreeLAT, who created the news art), which is ultimately necessary to make all of our plans come to life in the future. As always, every single one of you enables us to do great things, and we will keep listening to all of the creative feedback we receive from you. We can't wait to share some of the things we are working on in the future. NHLGamer.com
