Hello NHLGamers, It's time for ECL Season 3 and here is how the regular season will work: Regular season Teams have officially been created by Kenu so to all you Captains, get out there and start adding your players! Barring any sudden setbacks, the start of ECL Season 3 will be on Monday, October 10th - aligning quite well with the start of the actual NHL regular season. With almost 60 teams signed up, we are creating a longer regular season with two separate groups, or "conferences" - each containing roughly 30 teams. These teams will then play each other twice (within the conference) for a full regular season of about 54-58 games - depending on the exact number of teams that end up actually playing. Groups will be pre-seeded without a lottery to make sure both groups are even. However, we will seed teams into different clusters which will then be "drawn" on a Live Stream on the websites Twitch channel, look for it this Sunday (9/10). Playoffs The first 16 teams in both groups advance to the playoffs. In the first round, both groups will play against each other (A1-B16, A2-B15…). Afterwards, it’s strongest against weakest team (according to our regular season tiebreakers). There are a few more surprises coming Sunday in regards to the playoffs and one more thing. At this point I will just say the word "Divisions" and let you speculate a bit on your own... Think of the little bit weaker teams, newcomers etc. They propably lose interest at halfway if games go bad and lose alot😕. I think 4 groups and shorter regular season would've been better. + I think ~30 games / group is enough to tell who deserves to advance to playoffs7 points

Yes, @vatalisti, it have happened before. But I have very strong feeling about the word "divisions", which will take this whole shit to the next level. This may be last time when every team out there can play in the "real ECL" if you know what I mean. If you want to play the ECL in the future, this might be your last chance to prove it. Teams who really want to play this game competitively, will play those 54-58 games. Personally I dont even care if some teams participate ECL3 and then just quit when they see that they cant make the playoffs. I want to get rid of those kind of teams. Let the games begin.3 points

Woah, 54-58 games for regular season, that'll take easily over two months to reach playoffs. I like the idea of long regular season personally, but unfortunately our two players @ADETIKKI and @FlyerKungen must take part in Finnish army from January 2017 . Well, time to bring couple more players in I guess.1 point

Now that UKnighted HC had to withdraw from ECL I'm looking for a team to play with. I'm part of the PlayStation EASHL community since NHL 10, and I guess most of you know me by now. Positions: RW, RD, LW, LD, C, G I can play all positions except C and G on the same high level, so I should be able to fit in as your allrounder.1 point
