Editor-in-Chief OGjahajaha Posted March 10, 2023 Editor-in-Chief Report Posted March 10, 2023 SportsGamers, With a successful ECL '23 Winter season in the rearview and lots of action on the horizon, it's now also time to launch registrations for the upcoming ECL '23 Spring season. This time, the league will feature 26 000€ prize pool across all divisions and the live Finals will be the culmination of the entire season in mid-June. We have now launched the registration for the Lite & Pro Qualifier teams of ECL '23 Spring. This article will feature all the information you need about participating and includes all the eligible teams. If you haven’t read our general information yet, we suggest you head over to our ECL ’23 Spring information article. This season we really want to ensure that the competitive level of the Lite division is as high as possible, and that teams that are in the middle ground between the Lite and Core divisions will be assigned to their correct competitive levels. As a result, we have decided to open up the Lite Qualifiers to all teams, without any prerequisites. Teams with campaigns in the ECL '23 Winter season will be prioritized if more than 64 teams participate in the Qualifiers. Schedule for Lite Qualifiers Registration: 18.3.-7.4.2023 Qualifiers: 9.-23.4.2023 *If you're an existing team that wants to change names, simply sign up with the old name and contact support for the name change. If you're having issues with signing up overall, please contact support. Eligibility to participate in the ECL '23 Spring Pro Qualifiers has been earned through performances in the ECL '23 Winter season. Below is a list of eligible teams, and on top of that, the Qualifier has four Wildcard spots available for teams that might fill the requirements specified in our Wildcard information article. Seven teams will be making the Pro division out of the Qualifiers. Schedule for Pro Qualifiers Registration: 18.3.-7.4.2023 Qualifiers: 9.-20.4.2023 The following teams are eligible to register the Pro Qualifiers: Pro Qualifiers 1 Pro 25 Hawaii Hockey 2 Pro 26 Ace Hockey 3 Pro 27 Synergy Hockey 4 Pro 28 Company of Geeks 6 Pro 29 TTK 5 Pro 30 Inter Iceland 7 Lite 4 Six Sticks Misfits 9 Lite 5 Prestige 8 Lite 6 Herforder Ice Dragons 10 Lite 7 Vizio 11 Lite 8 Purification 12 Lite 9 Hunters 13 Wildcard 14 Wildcard 15 Wildcard 16 Wildcard *If you're an existing team that wants to change names, simply sign up with the old name and contact support for the name change. Teams will not be promoted straight and all open spots will be filled through qualifiers (excluding automatically relegated/promoted teams). If there happens to be more open spots than anticipated (e.g. from teams disbanding which would have been invited to play in the qualifier) spots are filled as follows: Pro Qualifiers Pro relegated teams Lite #10-16 Wildcard teams #5-8 Lite #17-32 Special rules for Qualifier teams To prevent teams from taking advantage, specifically recruiting players to bolster your chances in the qualifier that have no intention of remaining in the team beyond that, we have decided to enforce a soft roster lock post qualifier play. If a former Elite player wants to participate in a qualifier for a Wildcard, Pro or Lite team, then they will be locked into that division at where the team ends up throughout the season Transfer to a lower division is possible If a former Pro player wants to participate in a qualifier for a wildcard, Pro or Lite team, then they will be locked into that division at where the team ends up for 2 weeks (starting from the first game played in Pro that season) Transfer to a lower division is possible Wildcard Battle, Lite & Pro Qualifiers are part of the season so it is good to remember that only one transfer is allowed during the season Quote
