Cmon man, what are you talking about. Even with OT perk you have to adjust in order to slap it properly. Also CQ just gives you some spice on your shot - it doesnt give you guaranties. Also dont forget that Gs are also without perks and they lose their animations as well so its not that simple to play too. Game becomes more passing around but only because there is no sense in shooting from everywhere whatsoever.
Can you play like that - yeah, but you can play good with perks also. So dont blame it all on the perks.-

Cant really get what all beef is about. It seems so clear to me that community consists of many people and they should all obey the same law which cant suit everyone. And SGG wants to test trait bans on smaller tourneys so we all can get a feedback (there were a lot of people wanting it to be tested which is true) - no need to crusade on each other cause there are always different views on one matter. In the end there will be a decision and everyone will decide if it works for them just fine or they can just switch to ripmoti mode or go play other shitty game. Its that easy.
From the Goalie perspective i can add that i personally dont give a f about what percs are used and what are not. In real hockey you cant be sure you save a shot even if you square to it and set yourself just fine. So if it trickles in - its just bad luck. There is other side of this luck - you can save crazy shots when you shouldnt do that. So why even talk about that. Perks help this mechanics to work. Goalie is not only about one person heroics its about him setting up his defence in front. (ofc Tipper is BS cause you just cant tip a slap shot from under the bar like that all the time xD)
So to underline - ban everything is really a strange decision, but gives different approach to the game for sure. More suitable thing is imo leaving only silver perks i guess. But i would leave it be as it was (still think golden stickemup is bs, esp if we remember that someone on ping 1 and someone on 50.)

Actually I think we have not seen this much variation in builds in a long time. For example forwards; someone uses trucu and someone stick ’em up and someone might use even beauty backhand, someone uses golden cq and someone uses golden 1t and someone uses golden puck on a string or even stick ’em up if playing with PMD. This being said, banning all traits would actually lead to a lot less variation with no trait to choose from, everyone will keep looking at top players builds and making their owns based on those. And after a while there would be 1-2 identical copies of a build that everyone would use.
Funny thing is that all this happened after most useful Perk (Elite Edges) was cut lose. But yeah, there are a lot more variations right now. At least meta is divided in several builds - so there is smth you can choose from.

It is starting to become a talk without purpose here. Just choose the approach and announce smth in advance before the tournament, that's all. If Poll will help - lets do it. Separate poll is a good thing from one side but on the other hand - its better to have a basic structure for all of SGG as it was mentioned before in terms of growing the community.
We already opened the era of Bans so now when we know it is possible to exclude smth from the game we start to decide what we should take out. But we forget that its always personal thoughts of different players\individuals. No sense in covering own wishes with some fancy words - it will end up in personal liking anyway. Most of the guys can play the game as it is right now btw, esp top guys.
I personally don't care if there is CQ, 1T or whatever. Goalies are dependable position and rely on the team anyway.
Any ban decision will change the game but top players will stay top players. So we getting down to just figuring out what approach here is reasonable. IMO if you wanna ban smth - it should be everything or nothing (Tipper stays banned), cause it would get down to a lot of crazy talks and there will never be a perfect outcome.
Its funny how we talk about banning trucu but wanna keep stickemup, also forwards wanna keep 1T, CQ but drop stick and truc.
P.S. Could be fun to cut the number of perks per team, so we don't see 5 trucu or 5 sticks, but its the whole different story.

It sounds good before you will try to control all this quantity of perks in a team - then you will get LA interventions and ugly scenes. Also its a fun idea to restrict the usage of similar perks but its an idea which was around for quite a long time and no one could try it even in side tournaments. No chance this thing will live up to ECL level.
BTW. If i understood correctly the msg in game - there will be more points for your bot every new season in CHEL. Also you say you can defend it by crowding the guy and then complain about one tee, which can be covered with the same approach really, but the thing is - tipper can’t be really stopped with that and also with good goalie positioning.
also, main thing about tipper is that it encourage teams to play shitty hockey - that’s the problem mainly.
and CQ is really not a thing if you position good. I dare you - Lxndstrom for example, will penetrate you on close up without this perk anyway)))) that’s just skill not perks.And also I agree that stick em up is the new go to perk, which also kills hitting, making everyone go for the vicious poke checks all the time. But even this is not that lame as abusing tipper.
and ofc every C will use it if it would be legit. Cause it’s an option you can’t go by just because you feel yourself as an honorable knight in shiny armor 😂 at the end of the day - you have to use the build which will give you the best chance to win.

Developer Feedback: We are balancing how much stamina damage is delivered from big hits and boosting Truculence and Shrug It Off to create more incentives to equip these X-Factors.
- Reduced Non-Truculence hits to deliver a max of 35 stamina damage on biggest hits.
- Increased Truculence Zone Ability to deliver 75% extra stamina damage on biggest hits.
- Increased Truculence Superstar Ability to deliver 35% extra stamina damage on biggest hits.
- Increased Shrug It Off Zone Ability: Will reduce incoming stamina damage from hits by 75%.
- Increased Shrug It Off Superstar Ability: Will reduce incoming stamina damage from hits by 30%.
